I arrived a few days before the rest of the girls and was lucky enough to join them on a gin tasting. If you get the chance to do that definitely join them. I didn't even think I liked gin, But I do!!! When the rest of the girls arrived it was so lively and we all got on so well. The wild game drives with Kerry- the best guide at kruger pride safaris, the amazing animal sightings, delicious food- Christina had a local chef come and cook for us, and wonderful company all made this a very special trip! It sounds like we did a lot because we did but there was also a good amount of downtime to just relax on the back porch, read, enjoy a glass of wine and watch the beautiful beasts of South Africa grazing in the backyard. To read about this experience on Facebook it should have been fantastic-technology,science, nature, etc but it wasn't. The girls running the event were nice but hardly knew what to do. I suggested they needed to give some directions as to what we were suppose to do while in the program, with the glasses in the room. Like how were we to use our hands and our voice to activate things (I guess) but they didn't have the training to know to do that . My credit card charge was with a company out of Germany bec that was what was on the bill so I suspect the experience could have been there but it wasn't.

For the amount of money that was spent it's completely disheartening the way the staff spoke to the bride, bridesmaids and wedding coordinators. It's also absolutely unprofessional and lacks decorum. In addition, there was another incident where the staff that was sent to clean the grooms suite was outside of the room rolling their eyes, talking about the guests and wedding party. I could see them and hear them as this was going on. I approached two of them to share with them that I heard and saw everything. Mind you, we were still within our contracted hours and while I understand staff may want to go home, we paid to be there. I also shared this situation with there in house coordinator tonight and she smirked the entire conversation and then offered a less than sincere apology. No resolution from her with the earlier incident or this one. Craziest part is EVERY VENDOR we hired that has been in venue prior to provide services, echoed the same sentiment and has had the same experience. Really unfortunate and I would definitely think twice before having any event there. We will not be back.

Parking around the chapel wasn't an issue, either. They have both a private lot and street parking. The staff were very kind and helpful, too! They also have a beautiful courtyard as a reception space which allowed attendees to flow between indoors and out. Thank you for being fantastic and allowing us to honor our friend.
