This business is not nice to the locals at all. They called the cops on my mother who was selling flowers far from them. She was nowhere near their area or disturbing them. She was not affecting their business. The reason they called the cops on my mother was because they wanted to be the only one selling flowers around that area. That supposedly they weren't getting any sales because of my mother being there. They could've came & talked to us if it was a problem but they instead called the cops, which the cops were nice & asked us to just move the next street over. This place sucks, I've been there before too & they rejected service because they ONLY wanted to serve the marines/vets. I only wanted to buy flowers for a loved one. read more

I came in here for a quick purchase as my son forgot to buy flowers for his date. The florist did not have ready made arrangements in what I was looking for. The kind owner offered to create the most beautiful bouquet right on the spot. It was absolutely gorgeous and I could not have asked for better customer service. I had a lot of trouble finding a florist that could deliver sympathy flowers to my best friend on base. Living in Hawaii, I could not simply order them to pick up and deliver myself. After a nightmare experience with Proflowers, I found Semper Fi Florist. The gentleman who took my call was extremely patient with me. He listened to my request, worked with my budget and made sure that the flowers he suggested were okay with me for the arrangement. He was extremely polite and courteous, never rushing me during the call. Even with another call coming in, he asked me to hold briefly while he took their number to call back. He wasn't sure if he could deliver the same day, and said it may be the next day. He was willing to deliver at any time the next day that I needed. I was concerned that they would be delivered while my BF was at the service and the flowers could be left out to wilt. Not even two hours after hanging up, she sent me a photo of the beautiful arrangement he made and delivered today. The customer service provided was impeccable and I highly recommend this florist. I will definitely be calling them again the next time I want to send flowers to Camp Pendleton. read more

The only thing going for this florist is they are close to base. I wouldn't recommend them! Even with a military discount, their prices are too high and they take advantage of the military community in this respect. Flowers are also poor quality! None of the flowers we have ever purchased from this location have ever lasted longer than two days. Don't waste your time here. Go to Oceanside Florist! It might be further away, but you will be satisfied with the price and quality far more than Semper Fi florist. The shop is also a junky, jumbled mess. read more

Well, after trying a florist shop before and not really happy with the order, I decided give Semper Fi a try... I have purchased here for the spur of the moment floral gifts and have been happy. These were simple orders, and made for a child to hold. But I wanted to see what I would get ordering floral leis as I did with my last visit to another floral shop. The place is small, but has a lot to select from in the store itself. As for the fresh floral arrangements and florals on hand they have a good selection, but that may depend on what days you go. So as I mentioned my visit was for the leis... and I was very pleased for what we ordered. The couple are older and the ordering was kind of a chore because they spoke over each other (with an accent), and it just wasn't professional, but they are old school style, so if you have the patience it's all good. They weren't shy about telling the truth on what you select and will be quick to suggest other options. They are friendly in an odd way. The prices are so-so, but you know, if you want a good arrangement you are going to pay the price for a good arrangement, unless you have connections :-) ! I would return, but I will have to make sure I am not in a hurry and turn on my patience mode. read more

We had a hard time finding a corsage for my four year old. Everywhere we called either didn't have toddler size or needed to be ordered several weeks in advance. My husband remembered this place from marine corp balls so I called in. The website says special orders need 24 hr advanced notice but I called about 4 hours before the father daughter dance on 6/12, the lady was accommodating, she gave me pricing and asked what color my daughters dress was, she was so helpful, took my order and payment over the phone and had the corsage ready in 2 hours. This place is great, except one thing. The sign on the window says they give a military discount, yet the 5+ times we've bought arrangements the man behind the counter says they do not give a military discount. I think the reason for this is b/c before you even get to checkout, he's already thrown in some freebies (a balloon, a nicer flower, etc.). Which is really nice - and that's a GREAT personal touch for a mom & pop shop. BUT if you say you give the discount, give the discount despite having already given the personal touch of a job well done. Ordered a Valentine's arrangement for delivery, first off online ordering is very simple and easy no hassles, a variety of arrangements to chose from, the arrangement I chose was almost identical to the one I picked out, delivery time was very reasonable considering it was very last minute on Valentine's Day. Delivery failed! I was sad last valentines. I didn't know that my bf ordered flowers from this shop and supposedly delivered a day before valentines. For some reasons, Ali wrote a wrong unit number. He put 46 instead of 47. The delivery guy did a great job! He delivered it on time .....but he delivered it to my neighbor. And my good neighbor signed it for me! I wonder if there's someone live there with the same name like me! And if her husband and my bf have the same name too. Why they need to accept the flowers if it's not for her? Popped in here on my way to dinner to get a bouquet for my mom. The owner was thoughtful and showed me his suggestions. I love when store keepers engage with their customers, it's a rare feat these days. I found a pretty bouquet at a good price and the owner added a nice bow to it. I found a nice greeting card, too. I forgot to order my daughter a corsage for her dance so I went in the store to see if they could make me one in less than an hour and without hesitation they did! They were a lifesaver! The worker was extremely rude. I have no idea how corsages work and I came in for one, he was extremely rude. He spent a whole 4 minutes yelling at me to lecture me that he doesn't want to do it because I didn't call ahead. If he can't do it that's one thing, but if he can do it but just feels like yelling at a customer that's unacceptable, I had no idea how to do this and he was rude. He also overcharged me, a simple flower was 57$ and it died the next day. To conclude, he overcharged me, gave me a bad product, and was very very rude to me. All he had to do was say yes I can provide this service, or no I can't, but yelling at a customer because he didn't feel like doing his job even though I paid him a lot of money was not okay. I'd highly recommend finding a different shop this man is rude and incompetent because the flower wasn't even good it was already dying. If I could give this place negative stars I would. As I was checking out an old lady tried to give me a $5 discount due to my long wait. Considering I was spending about $80, I thought it was a nice gesture. The owner (old guy with a strong middle eastern accent) got pissed and pushed her out of the way to remove the discount. I decided to visit this florist on my home to get some flowers for my wife. So I walk in and ordered sunflowers and she asked me how much I wanted to spend.... really? So I said 30 bucks and she responds with " how about $35?" WTH! I agreed. We've used them several times and they're always beautiful flower arrangements. Our friends and relatives who receive the flowers are always very complimentary about them. Recently I ordered flowers and candy for someone special. When the flowers arrived she called to thank me. I asked her how she liked the candy as well and she said that she didn't receive candy, just the flowers. So I called the florist and asked why the candy wasn't delivered with the flowers. The florist said he would check on it and within a half hour the box of candy was delivered by the same nice young man that had delivered the flowers, along with an apology. It was simply an oversight by a new part time delivery driver who was filling in for the regular driver who had a dentist appointment. The florist called to tell me what happened and even offered to give me a refund for the candy but I declined to accept the offer. Needless to say, once again, I'm happy with the flowers and their service. They go out of their way to create beautiful flower arrangements and I wouldn't use anyone else. read more
