The Pad Thai was also very tasty-wanted it a bit more spice which their hot sauce was good and added the needed kick! Great restaurant with a nice vibe. The woman who took my order(s) was friendly. The panang curry with beef was spectacular. I ordered that and pad Thai my first night and only ate the curry as the pad Thai was not great. I'm very spoiled with Thai, though, as we have several excellent spots in my hometown. The curry was so delicious I ended up ordering it again two nights later. They also have mango sticky rice, which is my favorite thing ever. The only bad thing about the place is the parking. Or lack thereof. Prepare for a bit of a walk if you don't snag one of the few parking spots on the main drag. read more

What I really liked about this piece was our waiter, he was so humble and respectful and always had a smile on his face I hope he reaches the highest success in life because of his humbleness and humility. The service was excellent, the waiter gave us ice water, we got the chicken fried rice, we beef drunken noodle, green curry chicken, the food was 5/5, the chicken fried rice had an amazing fragrance, the ambiance I'll be honest they could use a makeover but honestly it doesn't really matter because the food was fantastic. The Mango salad was really refreshing, the green curry was so good, the broth was perfect in balance, I can eat ten plates of that, honestly, the drunken noodles were phenomenal I never tried them before but omg they're fantastic the noodles had the perfect chew texture and the sauce was phenomenal. Frankly, Seng's is the kind of Thai food you expect when you leave a big city. It gets the job done of being the place in town to order Thai food, but isn't particularly exciting. Plus the interior is pretty bare bones. We got ours to go. If you're getting food within an hour of closing time I recommend calling. We got burned one night when they closed early. Food breakdown! The Chicken Satay consisted of a small portion of three skewers and there was no peanut dipping sauce. The daughter loved it. We thought it was okay. I like spicy but I felt like chili oil spiciness overpowered the Tom Yum Soup. That was odd since I ordered another entree (Drunken Noodles) "medium" and barely found it spicy. The husband really liked this dish and likened it to Chinese hot and sour soup. I've had Tom Yum before and felt this broth was undimensional. Other than the broth, the only ingredients were chicken and mushrooms. Other stuff would have been nice. The aforementioned Drunken Noodles were clumpy and a little hard. I've had better versions but this was okay. The Mango Chicken was a winner though I'm not usually a big fan. The Spring Rolls were the best thing we ordered. I don't usually get them since they're not the healthiest, but these weren't too greasy and were a big crowd pleaser in my family. The food deserves two stars compared to other Thai restaurants but I'd still order food from here to go if I was in town and was in the mood for Thai. read more

The pad thai was really really good and I enjoyed it. We stopped by this restaurant while in the area and some things were done well while other things were not. Tom Yum Soup: The Tom Yum Soup was incredible! The flavour was amazing and I would give this 5 stars! Cashew Chicken: The cashew chicken was too salty, saucy and the flavour was too potent for my taste buds. It might be perfect for your taste buds but I prefer foods with less salt and sauce. Ginger Beef: The ginger beef was better than the cashew chicken, in my opinion but it was also too salty and saucy. I found the flavour of the sauce to be a bit too intense and like it needed to be water downed or to be made less intense somehow. Would we return? We wouldn't return for the Thai entrees but we would definitely return for a delicious bowl of Tom Yum Soup if passing through the area and if we need to warm up. read more

3.5 stars for this litre gem. Located on the main strip in Huntsville, there is some street parking not too far (5 mins walk) but nothing upfront. The shop has a small patio with 6 tables and 8 inside. This appears to be a family run establishment with 3 people working the restaurant. One cook, one runner and the main server who is plenty friendly. Don't expect to make reservations as they do not have time to answer. The food is quite tasty and well seasoned. The only drawback is the meat quality could be a little better. A definite must go to try out if you are in the area read more

We visited Seng's after spending a day at Arrowhead Provincial Park. We got there just in time for dinner service (the sign said that they open at 4pm). Everyone who walks in has to show proof of COVID vaccination. However, no IDs are checked and it's probably difficult to read tiny smartphone screens. We weren't that comfortable with indoor dining, so we did take out. There are patio seats out front that you can use, but they don't do full service dining there. We ordered the Penang curry and the drunken noodles (pad kee mao). The Penang curry was quite tasty with a bit of a spicy kick. You can definitely taste the peanut sauce. The drunken noodles were quite good as well. It was also quite spicy and also quite oily. The noodles were cooked well, but also a bit heavy to pick up with disposable cutlery. While it may seem odd to eat at a Thai restaurant in Huntsville, Seng's is worth a visit if you're in the area. read more

Came here because of the decent reviews - I'm shocked and totally bewildered how this place could get any good reviews. We were the only table there. So our visit to this Thai restaurant was a disheartening experience. From the outset, the lady at the front desk exhibited an abrupt and inhospitable demeanor, setting the tone for the evening. The absence of attentive service was palpable. Our dissatisfaction heightened with the Pad Thai--a dish that arrived with COLD, undercooked chicken AND shrimp. Anyone knows that when the protein is uncooked, the food is inedible. We sent it back and said we didn't want it (not risking our kids getting sick!), and told them the chicken and shrimp were cold. the kitchen's remedy was to microwave the same plate, neglecting to prepare a fresh serving. The raw carrot garnish on top only confirmed our suspicions. The woman at the front desk approached our table while engrossed in a phone conversation, displaying a lack of professionalism. Her perplexing question, "Why don't you want it?" was met with our explanation of the inedible, cold meat. Astonishingly, her response was a nonchalant acknowledgment, "Oh, you wanted the dish hot?" A moment that left us utterly astounded. We ordered pad Thai. No apology was extended, compounding the poor service experience. The Cashew Chicken dish further disappointed--drowning in an excessive amount of bottled sauce, barely any chicken, and an unappetizing huge orange wedges. Our kids were left with only the option of eating the small bowl of rice that came w the over sauced dish. Our experience, marked by indifferent service and subpar food quality, solidifies our decision to never return to this establishment. read more

Where has this place been all my life? I've had a lot of Thai food in my life, rarely has a meal exceeded expectations like this. My daughter and I ordered fresh rolls, fried squid, and we each had drunken chicken, hers sans spice and mine hot, not 'white people hot' The fresh rolls were delicious, fresh with a sweet sauce, not spicy. Not a complaint. The squid was amazing, batter fell apart a bit, but it didn't taste like unseasoned rubber, it was done so perfectly. My daughter wouldn't even leave any for me. Same sauce. I had to steal a small buy. The drunken chicken was an absolute knock out. My daughters version was flavourful, her beef cooked right. The veg perfectly firm and the rice noddles cooked immaculately. My Drunken Chicken was actually spicy, and beyond delicious the owner gave a nod to me as he likes the heat too. I have not had Thai food so authentic and good since I lived in downtown Toronto. It's a solid 4.75. This business doesn't deserve being rated at a 4. I'll be back damn the 2 hour drive. read more

Mrs and I were in town over the weekend and this place caught our attention. We surely wanted to try this out. With no or low expectations we walked in. Not busy on a cold Saturday night. Cozy little restaurant and were seated right away. The owner/chef came right away and we explained we wanted no eggs, dairy, meat and even fish sauce in our meals. He quickly acknowledged that he would make everything vegan - which was amazing as he knew his customers. Ordered a Tom Kha Soup - which was just amazing, the creamy taste of coconut milk, galangal, lime leaves and lemongrass aroma just filled our nostrils. The delicately spiced soup hit the right tones and were super impressed on how well the soup was done. Ordered a Veg Red Curry and perenial favourite Veg Pad Thai. The Red Curry comes with plain steamed rice. The Red Thai with coconut milk and lots of veggies and flavour basil. We could have just kept on eating this bowl after bowl. Again perfectly spiced not too spicy and did not need any other additions as the flavour was coming through enough that you did not need anything else. The Pad Thai was perfect combination of noodles and sauce. Slightly on the sweeter side for me, but Mrs loved it. Would have preferred a bit more veggies though. All in all an amazing restaurant and food. The service was so personal. The chef came in twice to make sure everything was good. If in Huntsville, we are there for sure. read more

Say yes! As weird as it might feel going to a Thai restaurant in Huntsville, this place is a hidden gem. Being from Toronto, we have high expectations on Thai food but this place did not disappoint one bit. It's a family run restaurant and the type of small business that makes you feel wholesome in supporting. Of the actual food, everything we tried was genuinely good. The Panang curry stole the show for many of us and in the words Drizzy was the Best I ever had (having been to Thailand n Pai TO). Everything else was good and rich in flavor. We loved their fried rice and pad won sen. The appetizers were good too but expensive and the amount is small. The restaurant is clean, with 2 washrooms. The service was good. Very nice people! I used to lived in hk for over twenty years and we have a lot of yummy Thai food in hk. DONT' COME TO THIS PLACE! Unless, you want to waste your time and be treated like garbage. We came to have a lovely meal here to cap off our vacation to Huntsville and were treated terribly. We initially called to book a reservation but no one answered either time when we called. So we came in person and it was busy when we came. I asked the lady by the front area if I needed to book a reservation and she looked at me in disgust and said "NO!" I said I don't mind waiting for a table. She asked if I wanted to do take out and I said I will wait until my husband came (as he was parking the car) and we will decide then. Once my husband came, he told the lady we will do take out and she said she will be right back. We waited patiently for 20 minutes while she was busy serving people, before she came back to us and said it would take an hour for take out food orders as it was just her and the cook. Ummmm...you couldn't have told us that 20 minutes prior?!? We turned on our heels and left. Just rude! I will never step foot in this place again.
