Some of his office staff is another story. In my experience, they were indifferent to my concerns. They were annoyed with me calling and asking questions about my condition. My initial visit was with Marie. She told me I may need to change my medication for my Gerd. I had a swallow test. The doctor who did the test told me I had a problem with my throat going into spasms. I assumed it would be addressed by Dr. Afzal or his team. I'm a person who needs a little patience from the person explaining things to me. That is not something they have. I like everything about Dr. Afzal . Great doctor , great bedside manner . In my opinion, the Office doesn't complement. Dr. Azal's way of treating patients. A staff member referred me to another doctor to address my problems. The woman who called to inform me of that was cold . I recognized her from previous calls. She had the same flat and cold way of speaking.

It's a waste of time and money! Luckily, I'm not the type of person to base my decisions on just the words of others, so I figured I'd give it a try! Upon arrival to the clean and serene facility, I was greeted by the pleasant receptionist, Cindy. Cindy set me up with my first appointment and gave me the option of going to the Joliet or Plainfield clinic. I choose Plainfield since it was a straight shot from my home. I was scheduled with Dave, who was actually the owner!!! Can you believe that?! The owner actually provided me with care! That was a huge deal to me! No Big I's or little u's mindsets going on here! He was very friendly and very knowledgeable in his practice. Since my therapy was a lengthy 3 month period I was also able to work with Sarah, she's so cute and tiny-- but don't let that fool you!!! She's strong and makes her stuff!!! I also got to interact with Nolan in passing-- he does elite training. EVERYONE I encountered was very friendly, professional and knowledgable!!! I couldn't have asked for a better experience and I am happy to say that I am able to jog again!!!! I am totally a believer in physical therapy now!!! All physical therapy companies are NOT created equal! Brightmore is definitely the best of the best because my specific condition got treated as such-- a specific condition! I really liked this cardiologist in the DULY (DuPage Medical) group. I felt Dr. Karim had great bedside manner, was efficient and knowledgeable, articulate and thorough, and had a quick study of the problem. The MD made room for me on relatively short notice, and I got in to see him quickly. He took his time and did it right, and scheduled a needed procedure without wasting any time. While the MD is part of the much larger Heartland Cardiovascular group, Dr. Karim really only works out of the Joliet office next to St. Joseph's Hospital. Dr. Karim is an electrophysiologist, and if you need services in that area you won't find a better place to start.

Anyone going through infertility knows how mentally, physically, and emotionally draining it is, but my experience was even more so because of what happen to me while being treated at CRH. First off, the organization of this office is very concerning. My second visit, Dr. Springer couldn't even find medical documents from my first visit. When I asked for my medical file towards the end of my treatment, they should have been able to provide it to me the very next day; instead, it took almost a month for them to compile and gather my medical records. Secondly, the secretary/receptionist is very unpleasant. The first secretary was amazing, but she left and the person that took over is unpleasant. However, Connie and Jennifer are amazing. They are very nice and supportive. Also the nursing assistant was very nice as well. Now I will explain why I put poor for this review. During my egg retrieval procedure, Dr. Springer hit a blood vessel in my left ovary causing me to internally bleed. I went almost an entire day with blood filling up in my stomach and around all my organs. It was extremely painful. I went to the emergency room later that day after the procedure. I couldn't get a hold of Dr. Springer and neither could the doctors and nurses in the ER room. Finally, the ER doctors and nurses were able to get a hold of them early the next morning and I had to have emergency surgery. I had to take off work because I had to recover from surgery. This affected me not only physically, but also financially. This should have never happened! It wasn't even explained to me that this was even a possibility! I went to CRH because they came highly recommended and I wish more than anything that I never went to them for this highly emotional time in our lives. I even had a bad feeling the first few visits, but I ignored it. I couldn't even figure out why I had a bad feeling, but either way, I wish I would have listened to it. I will state that Dr. Springer was apologetic for hitting a blood vessel and causing me to internally bleed and he felt bad. I did stay with CRH for the last procedure (embryo transfer). The only reason why I stayed though is because we already paid for everything and we couldn't afford to go anywhere else. We couldn't even afford CRH in the first place. I was furious to see that they charged me office visits and other fees for me having to come in after my emergency surgery because of Dr. Springer's error. I didn't see this until after I finally received my medical file and I saw what they charged my insurance for visits after I had to get emergency surgery. In my own opinion, CRH tries to take as much money as they can make from their customers. However, the only thing good that came out of this very traumatic experience is that we now have a baby girl whom we love very much. We are very thankful for that. I personally would NEVER go back to Center of Reproductive Health. I do not trust Dr. Springer due to my experience. This was an extremely traumatic experience and I still have anxiety from it. I would suggest going somewhere where you trust all the staff members and where all of the employees are understanding, pleasant, and supportive. Also, somewhere where you feel like they care more about you than making money. If you feel this way about CRH, that's great, but if you don't, I would suggest finding somewhere else right away.

There are so many doctors out there doing the "Ah ha. ah ha ...". They aren't listening to our needs. I had been going through hell for years. I was at my primary care physician's office and, again, going through all of these ailments. She told me about this Dr who had recently opened his office in Joliet. She went and made a call and that doctor would see me as soon as I got there (WHAT?!?!!!!). That was Dr.Cheema's office. When I arrived to his office, his staff was so kind and truly cared for my well-being. I saw Dr Cheema within a couple minutes after completing the necessary forms. Dr Cheema LISTENED and we developed a plan together to treat each issue as we could. I felt as though I was his only patient (which I definitely was not!!!). I was on my was to feeling better, whether it was with medication, acupuncture, injections and more. If you are experiencing ANY kind of pain: Headaches, knee pain, back pain, cervical (neck) pain, lower back (lumbar) pain, numbness, whatever it may be, please do yourself a favor, and please stop suffering through pain, even being uncomfortable, and call Dr. Cheema's office and get the treatment that is perfect for YOU. Everyone is different and everyone needs to be treated differently. My chronic pain is, most likely, completely different than yours. Do one thing for yourself, make an appointment And see Dr Cheema.
