History

Established in 2020.

Senior Helpers of Conroe was proud to join the system in 2020. Like every other owner, we too are fully-committed to the original goal of providing dependable and accessible in-home care with well-trained caregivers. Nothing is more important to us than being the best available resource for seniors and families in our community. We are lucky to serve hundreds of seniors in our community, and we are committed to continuing to provide uncompromising levels of care to all our families. Laurie and Ray Griggs were drawn to Senior Helpers because of the experience they had caring for Ray’s mother and the fact that Senior Helpers continuing education is second to none as part of their taking care of their caregivers. Our team has grown to include 24 caregivers plus office staff. We have served many seniors in our community over the year, and we are committed to continuing to provide uncompromising levels of care to all our families.

Meet the Business Owner: Ray and Laurie G.

Ray Griggs was born in Albuquerque, NM, raised in Temple, TX. Most recently he has worked in Health, Safety and Environmental Protection with energy and transportation companies. Ray enjoys gardening, hunting, fishing, and traveling. Laurie is a native Texan. She was born and raised in northwest Houston. Laurie loves to do yard work, abstract painting, calligraphy, and travel. Ray and Laurie know firsthand how difficult it can be to juggle caring for a loved one, working full time and raising a family. After Ray’s mother had a stroke, they were her primary caregivers with Ray’s brother for over 6 years. Ray and Laurie have two children: Zachary, age 23, and Meghan, age 21. The whole family served as missionaries on the east coast of Honduras for over eight years. They lived and worked with the local communities, developing relationships, and teaching / practicing self-sustainability. All four are bilingual English and Spanish.
