While making the reservation I secretly noted that it was husband's birthday weekend. The tour was $15 a person all well worth it! We arrived a few minutes before the tour started and we're greeted by Jeff. From our first meeting through the end of the tour he was AMAZING. He acknowledged my husband's birthday and even had a little birthday cake emoji printed next to his name on his "employee punch card". Through small talk we learned we had a ton in common. He was VERY knowledgeable while giving the tour and had answers to all of our questions and about most of the antiques on the property. The tasting at the end takes place in a speakeasy where you actually have to call on a phone booth phone and obtain the code to get in the secret doors. It was so funny and cool. The other guy working who answered the phone and talked to us before the tour was Richie. He was great too! There was only one other couple signed up for our tour time so it wasn't over crowded even though they max out tours at 16 persons. I was pleasantly surprised how detailed the tour was and how full of memorabilia and antiques the distillery was. A ton of thought and love went into building it. There is no way you won't love it! We were provided some unexpected souvenirs throughout the tour such as the employee punch card, a personalized "prescription" and a sticker. Jeff also offered to take a picture of each couple in the speakeasy. Overall I have told so many friends and other people we have encountered about it. I will continue to spread the word and highly recommend you go for a tour! What an amazing concept! Wine and books?! Does it get better than this?…read more I happened upon this store as I was picking up groceries nearby. When I saw wine and books I had to pop in. The interior is so cute! There is a lovely bar top meant for reading a book while sipping on wine. There is an extensive shelving unit filled with bottles of wine to purchase. Each bottle of wine has a tag around the neck giving a vivid description of the wine. I appreciated that the wine pricing averaged $25 which is within my budget. The selection of books is fantastic. I recognized so many authors and also discovered new books I want to read. I told the manager how in love i am with this store and she shared they also host book clubs and events. If I was not a tourist I would definitely become a member of their book club. The manager helped me pick a lovely bottle of white wine to take home. I appreciated how knowledgeable she was about the wine which is remarkable given how large the selection of bottles is. I will likely come back to pick up merch. I never want to forget about visiting this unique and adorable small business.

The downside was that there were more than a few comics with no marked prices (and took a lot of time to find the prices) and the staff, while friendly, didn't seem to know much about comics. I asked about some DC comics and characters and they simply didn't know the answers. I feel if you run a comic, you should have employees who can answer questions. Overall a really nice experience. Again, the staff was friendly and the back issue and graphic novel selection in particular was fantastic.
