They have a seperate gluten free menu in with their main menu 5/5 The Brussel sprouts appetizer were delicious with plenty of bacon flavor. 3/5 The sweet potato fries while cooked perfect lacked flavor. We had a great visit to Forgotten 50, where the clean and classic modern design and excellent service from the waiters really stood out. I went with my husband and his friend, who both ordered hamburgers; while the food didn't quite hit the high mark they were expecting, I thoroughly enjoyed my buffalo flatbread, which was a tasty and interesting dish similar to a buffalo chicken pizza. I also liked my "Mr. TEA" drink, though my husband and his friend didn't care for their drinks as much as I did. Not being from the area we took it to Yelp to find a good food spot for some happy hour specials. Down the street from Burley Oak we walked into the Forgotten 50, place was pretty Jamming for a mid day afternoon. They have 2 rooms, a smaller one with some bar seating and a larger one for events etc with a bar as well. Plenty of parking out front and a spacious patio. My wife and I each got a drink and opted for the chips and salsa and some wings. Chips and salsa was very good, highly recommend. Salsa was vibrant had some slight heat behind it and worked well, good size chips that didn't fall apart. For the wing flavor we got buffalo and the tandoori which is different and also the owners favorite flavor. The buffalo sauce left a bit to be desired but the tandoori ones are where it was it, great flavor similar to a dry rub. Our server was friendly and helpful, offered good recommendations. read more

I went here with my wife for a weekend dinner and had a good dinner. We were able to get seats immediately despite not having a reservation and received great service throughout our dinner, including our servers being flexible when we wanted to switch from being outside to inside due to mosquitos. We split the pao de queijo and the Fried Gnocchi, both of which were OK but not great. The fried gnocchi tasted like they came out of a package, were barely crispy, and needed more flavor. The chimichurri sauce for the pao de queijo was flavorful but the pao itself was lacking. I also got the French Onion soup, which was fantastic-tons of flavor, cheese, onions, and bread. I got the scallops for my main course. Despite being a bit salty, the risotto was good and the scallops perfectly cooked. The Fresno chilies and tomatoes added good heat and freshness. I would recommend Forgotten 50 Distilling if you are in Berlin or near Assateague, and looking for a solid, family-friendly place. read more

Overall not satisfactory with food or distillery. Service was okay, to be fair we had a waitress who was new though. Ambiance was okay, more of an upscale modern vibe. Music was good though, just overhead radio. Liquors including vodka, botanical vodka, bourbon, and gin were NOT smooth at all. Vodka reminds me of old school Pinnacle or something even more harsh that college kids buy. Bourbon was somewhere between American Honey and Wild Turkey. Chips were thick and very hard. Salsa was not a standard blend, has a weird orange cream tint... not sure what that is about. French onion soup had whole piece of toast making it difficult to split up. We were looking to try somewhere new for a change. After lots of research looking at pictures, menus, and recommendations we decided on Forgotten 50. As we arrived we noticed lots of parking space and a nice outdoor seating area though we chose to sit inside so we could watch some baseball. There are two bars inside that we saw, a bigger pentagon shaped bar that we sat at and a smaller more cozy bar in the next room over. The bartender was extremely nice, made some great drink recommendations, and was very knowledgeable about the menu. I asked him to make me his favorite drink as it was my first time there and he chose the Wonderlust -- beautifully crafted and refreshing. We also had a Margarita, Cosmo, Espresso Martini and a freezer door martini (premade martinis chilled in the freezer, smaller pour and cheaper than one of their regular cocktails). They also serve beer, wine, and have nonalcoholic options available too. We ordered a few appetizers to split and then each got a sandwich. Chips and Salsa which I'd probably skip next time around and buffalo wings which were good but I wouldn't put them at the top of my wings list. The cheesesteak was good (steak was great but the roll left a little to be desired). My dad and I got burgers which we both really enjoyed. From their house made burger blend to the soft brioche buns they were legit burgers all the way around. We definitely enjoyed our time here and were glad we decided on Forgotten 50. The food was good, great craft drinks, and the happy hour (which we missed) looks pretty good too. We'll be back in the area at the end of the June and will probably stop back in for a drink or two. read more

Booked here for Father's Day as brunch here last year was a big hit with our large party. Showed up this year and were disappointed that brunch was no longer an option. Overall still a good experience but unfortunately we'll have to find a new place next year. read more

I had a day on my own so decided to check this place out and I was glad I did. It's in Berlin and they have ample parking and a really cool outdoor seating area . It was lunch and I was alone so I chose to sit in the smaller bar area . The host - I'm not sure if he was the manager or owner was very friendly and accommodating. He told me all about the place and their products. I ordered a delicious cocktail called Caribbean Class . It was beautifully presented and came with a little side car of Prosecco, that you could mix in. It was delicious! I wanted to like my crab cake more than I did. While the food was delicious, it is the service that really stood out. The hostess was so friendly and set the tone. Our server, Sophia was super-attentive (without being intrusive as that can be a fine line). It sounds silly as I constantly hear people complaining about kids today (the same way our parents griped about us) but it was genuine. Both girls came across like they truly cared about us having a great experience. They took it personally. Phenomenal. I had a prosciutto, brie, fig sandwich which was fantastic. Crunchy grilled bread, salty prosciutto, tangy brie, sweet fig was a perfect balance of fun. Side of brussel sprouts were great. Hubby had a chicken and goat cheese sandwich on the same yummy grilled bread and had the chips. Not some crummy little bag of chips, but delicious homemade super crunchy chips that I stole a few of! The upscale cocktails are both creative and delicious. The presentation of the colorful cocktails with editable pansies, aloe, and mint were so beautiful. The food was SPECTACULAR. The skirt steak was marinated just right and a perfect medium rare. You could taste the herbs and garlic in the chimichurri sauce, and it so complimented the skirt steak and arugula. There was a slight heat with the red Chile that tasted so fresh. The "Goat Island" salad with beets, and goat cheese was perfectly blended with the orange-honey vinaigrette, and I loved the watermelon radish garnish. Amazing meals and apps! There were 6 of us on a busy Saturday evening, and we were surprised to get seated quickly. Server was very friendly. Apps came out quickly and everyone loved their food. We got the guac, street corn, and fried gnocchi. Our meal took a little longer, as there was a very large party ahead of us. Our server came out to apologize about the wait The Nashville hot chicken sandwich was delicious (and spicy!) They have SO many gluten free options. This was the worst lunch experience. I came in for a quick drink and lunch while working in the area. After wanting to take a moment to look at the menu the bartender served me water and I no longer wanted to order a drink as there was no longer a thirst for any of their drinks. I ordered the chicken sandwich with goat cheese and peppers. The bread was dripping in an oily and burnt toast and then seemingly grilled due to blackened marks. The chicken was not cooked for sandwich bite size pieces and was grisly. The goat cheese was a glob of cheese spread an inch thick and unbearable to eat.. The potato chips were so full of salt, I wondered what brine they had then sitting in. The lights were so bright shining onto the bar, I was blinded throughout my meal. I would not recommend this Distillery at all and hate that I have to leave any stars. I would recommend the owners stop their expansion and focus on basics for their staff. From ambiance to liquor sales to basic food preparation. Limit your menu items until you can serve an overall experience. read more

Stopped in for lunch again (first time was probably a year ago). My cocktail was good, hubby liked his beer. We ordered the Pao de Queijo appetizer which came with a delicious, spicy chimichurri. For some reason our entrees came out right after the app. Food was very tasty ... but we had some small nit-picks: I ordered a falafel sandwich which came on flatbread with lettuce, tomato and tzatziki. It was impossible to pick up (see photo). I ended up eating a few falafels by hand, then cut the last one up and sprinkled it back in the flatbread. They had a thick, crispy coating that almost overpowered the delicate chickpea mixture inside. Hubby ordered the roast pork sandwich with provolone and broccoli rabe. With every bite, a long piece of broccoli came out. He said it was good but would have preferred if the broccoli had been chopped. Daughter ordered chicken sandwich with roasted peppers and goat cheese. I think she said the cheese kept falling out but otherwise liked the sandwich and the crispy, thick bread. All were served with very good homemade chips. Service was pretty good. I think there was only one server handling 6-7 tables so there were a few delays but we were in no rush. Awesome spot we saw on our way to Burley Oak Brewing. After looking at the pics, we had to stop here. Absolutely fantastic! We had the Corn Salsa w/Lump Crab, the Pao de Queijo with the Chimichurri, and the spicy salsa. Besides the food, we also tried a couple of cocktails and their in-house spirit flight. Ended up buying three bottles to go. The staff was so friendly! Big shout out to Adam for taking care of us and telling us the history of the space. First time visit this week and pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. Small food area inside a distillery but great service, food choices and location. We did a flight of vodkas which was a terrific bargain and fun way to taste the products. Fried pickles and grilled sandwiches were spot on as were the fries. Food served hot and perfectly done. We had a reservation and were seated immediately in a very busy night. The server was kind and sweet and efficient. The ambience is really nice! The food was just ok. I had a salmon pasta dish and it wasn't to my liking but may be fine for some. I thought the salmon was fishy and pasta overcooked and sauce too heavy. My friend sent her crab cake with fingerling potatoes and squash. Everything was dry. I probably would not go back for entrees. Maybe I would go back for cocktails and apps. read more

Stopped at Forgotten 50 on way to Ocean City. What a GREAT experience! My daughter has celiac and we went there for the gf options and wow - there were so many! Even for those of us that eat gluten, we couldn't taste a difference. Excellent find. The decor has old patents of distillation equipment in frames around the lounge. The drink list is a thorough treatment of cocktail sciences. We tried their house made gin cocktail, Cabin Fever. It had a refreshing tartness and unique flavor from the pine needle syrup made in house. You can also try a local IPA or porter on tap. On the food, the stars were the Brussels Sprouts charred with Maytag Bleu Cheese topping, the Fried Oysters, the Crab Beignets, and the French Onion Soup. The soup was amazing, beef broth redolent with soft onion and a slice of bread with cheese that perfectly complemented it; a meal in itself. My husband and I ate here twice when we were in town it was so good. I'm always excited to find a restaurant with a dedicated gluten free fryer! I had a scallop, tomato and ramp special and they were able to substitute risotto for the pasta. The second night I had a crabby grilled cheese and fries. They had a hard cider and some cocktails that were gluten free too. There was live jazz music on Friday night and the place was hopping around 6 pm!
