I went here for my first Brazilian Wax with Delilah. Upon walking in, you can already tell that the store is clean and well-kept. After checking in at the front counter, I was brought to a room within ten minutes. Delilah was very brief with conversation, just like another reviewer mentioned -- most of the time, it was silent. Throughout the session, she would occasionally give tips about waxing. She also did not recommend any steps for after care, but nonetheless, she got the job done. As for the price, I found Senses through Groupon, which made it significantly cheaper. However, when you're in the rooms, they will ask if you want other services without specifying the additional price; so so your research before coming! Considering the large amount of waxing studios in South Florida that also offer Groupons, I would still give other places a try too! read more

***Delilah*** I purchased a Groupon based off of the reviews and location. I booked the appointment for my birthday and schedule with Delilah. A couple of people here have commented/complained about the lack of conversation from Delilah. Here is my experience: *Senses was conveniently located in Pembroke Pines. *The salon was bright and clean. * I was greeted at the front by Delilah and we went straight to the back. *Delilah was very professional and experienced at what she was doing. * Delilah provided some tips during the session. * I've had other technicians from other places and can I tell you I love that there was limited conversation because it actually allowed me to relax and close my eyes while there. I did not feel offended that there was limited conversation. *First time ever that I had a wax done where it was pretty much (almost)painless and I have ZERO tolerance for pain. BRAVO!! My experience with Delilah was not as I expected it to be. She did not really speak to me, i would try to make conversation and she would cut it short. When she was done she didn't even recommend any products for aftercare. I had to ask her what I should do and she just replied with telling me to exfoliate. She was not friendly at all. The place is nonetheless really clean. I will be back because I want to continue waxing but will be going with another waxer. read more

I am only giving it a 2 star review because the person who took care of me was nice but wow. First off I walked into that room and the wax had a stick in it already with old wax on it and she was using that on me (likely because it gets used on everyone). I opted for deep bikini and full legs but she insisted I didn't need full legs because I had no hair so she just did inner thigh. Well now there's plenty of hair I see on my thighs. Then she decided to do my legs with another apparatus used on everyone and then a wax linen strip and my hairs were pretty long but I run my hands through my legs now and it feels like I shaved two days ago, ton of stubble. There was a $4 (since I originally paid for full legs and deep bikini) difference that they told me they couldn't refund or give to the lady as additional tip because they had already closed the cash register. They offered to put it towards next service but I don't plan on coming back. It was $95 total with tip and I definitely don't think I got my money's worth. I was visiting for a short weekend and was looking for last minute wax. From the moment the phone was answered they were extremely friendly and welcoming. I asked if they had time for a wax and was given an appointment within the hour on a Saturday evening no less. When I arrived they were early and took me ahead of my scheduled appointment. Nora did my wax and I told her this was my first time, she used a hard wax.. she was very kind and gently, I had a few questions and she Answered them thoroughly and we began to talk about personal lives. I made an appointment on August 11th and booked an appointment for the same day. I came in and the atmosphere was very nice. The place was extremely clean, relaxing, and appealing to the eye. The receptionist was very friendly. I came in for a full Brazilian bikini and butt strip. My technician was Maria and she was very helpful. I've been going to Uni k wax for 3 years and they recently hiked up their prices by double the amount from 25-44 for a Brazilian . I endured it for a while because I was spoiled with the hard wax and I was really picky about who I would go to see. After spending $44 every month on a wax I decided it was time to find somewhere else and move on. I stumbled upon senses through Yelp and I'm so glad that I did. The reviews are right listen to them, it's very clean, looks like a spa, the employees are very welcoming and nice and my specialist Sandra was great she did an awesome job and I have found my new home!! The only thing I will miss about Uni k wax is the aloe Vera gel and ice pal provided after a wax but that's so minimal compared to the affordable prices and great service. read more

This is my waxing studio. I've since moved away from Florida but everytime I visit my family, we always make an appointment for me here. I don't let ANYBODY touch my eyebrows except for Nora and Dalila. This is from many a-times of horrible experiences, I clean them myself but to shape them and give them a face lift, I wait because it's worth it. They don't double-dip which is a huge problem in other studios, this is a very clean and relaxing space. Plus it's right next to a mediterranean restaurant so if you have the munchies afterwards, hello- easy, breezy greek salad or pop to the starbucks in the plaza in the front. Basically, I've been coming here for years and have delayed my review in order to keep my appointments easy to book haha but Nora and Dalila definitely deserve a shout out!!! read more

I have waxed with both Sandra and Esperanza who are both great. So it was my first time getting a wax ever, and I got the full bikini wax and butt strip and eyebrows waxed. My husband came along for the experience, and it was at bit scary, but the way my technician (Sandra) catered to us, made the experience a great one. She used hard wax, and that was awesome. I had a few rebel hairs, but she educated and guided me concerning them, and took care of all that she could. In addition, on the eyebrows, she stayed to my natural arch, and simply cleaned and accented what was already in place, and that's exactly what I wanted.
