Good follow up would have been for SOMEONE to notify my daughter the clinic was closed AND to not allow appts to be scheduled if the clinic is CLOSED. No one cares about providing any kind of good customer service or even care if people receive care when they are sick.

I'm not too familiar with Charlottesville, but it was fairly easy to park in the Lee Street garage and navigate across the street. At reception, a kind person walked us to the suite where I needed to check in. That was appreciated since I would not have found it on my own. All of the nurses, aides, and the doctor were friendly and efficient. The prep was quick, they asked me about allergies several times, and then poof, I was out like a light. It was the first time I wasn't told before they were starting the anesthesia, so I was surprised to wake in recovery. One thing I didn't love was that a transport guy wheeled me to the curb while my mom retrieved the car...and then LEFT ME THERE. Like sir, that is not how it's supposed to work. A woman was blasting her music and I was pretty crabby/vocal about having to listen to it. I did successfully get myself into the car, but isn't that kind of a liability if I had fallen? Other than that, it was a good experience and they kept me at ease during a really stressful day.

The staffing is pretty decent with lot of float pool nurse filling in the shortage gap. The nurse to patient ratio of 1:4 is nice, the hospital has a lot of resources to help the staff, and the cafeteria offer a diverse range of food. Many staff ride bike on campus so there are a lot of bike rack area to store your ride. Staff have to park off site and take a bus to the main hospital. It annoying that during the football season staff have to park somewhere else or risk getting ticketed/towed. All in all, a pretty good place to work at.

The receptionist has been offensive and abusive in every interaction I've had with her as well as humiliating. I would like to keep the care and services of Dr. Disabato but his front desk makes it impossible to continue. I will never subject myself to that kind of treatment again. Be mindful and aware.
