However after paying, one of us checked the receipt and the full Visa card number and expiry date were printed on the receipt! This seemed sketchy as every other receipt always had the first numbers starred out. In calling the bank they agreed this was fishy and cancelled the card as a precaution. Just something to watch out for when shopping!

They had a wide range of souvenirs that I was interested in taking home, specifically sweatshirts/hoodies/t-shirts and mugs. I ran into a lot more souvenir shops in the more touristy areas of London, but they looked a bit sketchy.

So just for nostalgia's sake, I did go into the Harry Potter shop at Heathrow airport. The shop has everything from candy and wands to actual robes and other clothing in each of the house colors. Everything there was out-of-this-world expensive, and we didn't have space in our luggage to buy anything too large. So I just grabbed a gold chocolate coin. I am not going to eat the coin as it's more of a souvenir, and hopefully that metal coin wrapper holds tight because I don't want it to get moldy inside and draw bugs LOL If you're still a Harry Potter fan (which I know many are, separating the art from the artist), then definitely make a stop here for everything Harry Potter themed, if you're passing through Heathrow and want to grab a souvenir!
**June Weekend Visit (Sunday) & July Weekday Visit (Wednesday): 2022**…read more I visited this shop twice while I was in London since I took multiple flights in and around the UK. As such I bought a several items on each visit lol. This shop is located in Terminal 5 (International Terminal) and has a good assortment of items in each of the Hogwarts Houses. I've been to the original location at Kings Cross and this shop does a good job in carrying about 1/2 of that location's items. It's a good assortment if your trip didn't allow for a stop there. Unfortunately the discount at airport shops concluded when the pandemic hit so guests would be paying retail price, regardless, if you want to buy lots and lots of Butterbeer without having it take up space in your checkin/carryon - you can get a mini four pack for £12.95 (If you want the cool and protective Butterbeer package it's an additional £1). It won't count as extra weight in your luggage since you already passed the luggage drop off. Anyways if you need a little bit of magic before jetting off to your next destination this shop surely has something for everyone!

The place was crowded with tourists (Surprise, surprise) but it doesn't matter. The staff were helpful and proactive at cutting the line down. After much deliberation, I ended up picking some Butter Fudge up just for the beautiful silver and blue tin. I can't wait to drop back in to collect more darling tins, foreign candies and souveneirs for home.
What a delightful candy shop!…read more While on a day trip to Oxford to show my 10yo daughter where she *will* be attending university (hey, a mom can dream!), we happened upon this absolutely wonderful little shop, filled to bursting with every delicious sweet you could imagine! All of the standard favorites: humbugs, sherbet dips, chocolate-covered everything, fruit-shaped everything...you get the idea. But imagine my absolute surprise when I spied a shelf stocked with American candy, cereals, and snacks...including my favorite: Cheetos. Not even 48 hour prior, I was telling my husband that I would go to obscene lengths to have a bag of Cheetos, so strong was my craving for the vile snack food. Little did I know that all I needed to do was go to Oxford and visit Hardy's. Sorted! Now excuse me while I go wash the orange from my fingers...

They have a good selection of hats (caps, Berets, wide brims, bowlers), T-shirts, hoodies, and stuffed animals among things. Their basement also sells roller luggage. Another funny thing I saw was they had a security guard downstairs, but originally I thought he was a cardboard cutout from a distance since he was standing motionless next to a poster of someone wearing the exact same uniform. I had to do a double take but thought it was a cool trick to blend into the surroundings like that. I bought about $50£ worth of stuff - would make good souvenirs or random last-minute Christmas gifts. I couldn't find any cute stuffed English Bulldogs, so I hope my wife likes the Hello Kitty wearing Union Jack I picked.

Here's the spot for everything you need to bring back to the kiddies! Tshirts. Sweaters (jumpers). Hoodies. Mugs. Decals (stickers). Tiles. Posters. Name tags. Fridge magnets. Pens. Pot holders. You name it, they have it here. The selection is MASSIVE. And not just Union Flags. They have Beatles and Monty Python and even Paddington Bear stuff! It's not cheap, but it is certainly inexpensive. There's a helpful entrance from the Piccadilly Circus Tube so you don't have to go outside in the (what, again?) rain.
