I usually get some of their dried sweets like orange peel, hibiscus, and ginger, and some cooling herbs in bulk. The people at the counter are friendly and knowledgeable, and they also speak Cantonese which makes it easy for me to communicate with them. Great shop, will continue visiting in coming years!

When I fill up at a gas station, I don't know how many gallons I'm buying. The gas pumps at Top Hat do not have any credit/debit keypads, and I don't like that. So I go down the street about 1/4 mile to the Union 76 and pay the same price. As of Jan. 2026 it's $3.79 a gallon here, but I don't know if I'm getting top tier or commodity gasoline, the latter of which doesn't have the same cleaning agents as top tier.
