I am a little bit obsessed with my New Roots Organic bin. I talk about it all the time. Every Sunday, I eagerly check the website so I have an idea of what to expect for delivery day. Then I spend a LOT of time thinking about what's already in the refridg, what I'll be adding, and then I plan and re-plan what to make out of it all. Then on Monday (Capitol Hill's delivery day), I rush to get home before my roommate so I can be the one that gets to unpack the bin, arrange it on the counter, snap a picture, and then wash and package it all for easy use throughout the week. When I'm able to use 3+ ingredients in one meal, I squeal with joy, because I feel like I've solved a difficult math problem. For example, I realized yesterday that I had all the ingredients for ratatouille, thus knocking out the eggplant, zucchini, and tomatoes. This is an awesome service that I highly encourage anyone who is interested in incorporating more fruits and veggies into their diet to use. And for those who also want to be challenged to make seemingly disgusting foods that you typically avoid (for me, its eggplant, beets, and cabbage) into delicious edible meals.

Pure awesome. I had forgotten that strawberries tasted like actual fruit instead of a tasteless fiberious mass. Hint: they taste like strawberries. Roasted veggies from this place are delicious and will refresh your memory about what food is supposed to taste like. You can get delivery weekly or bi-weekly, depending on how much you're around to eat fruit and veggies, and they have two sizes of basket to choose from. I emailed them a large list of things that I didn't want in my basket and they save it for reference. They deliver organic loot from the farm to your doorstep. Local, seasonal, sustainable, organic, delicious, relatively cheap for what you get.

Get in my MOUTH! you delicious produce you....

I not only get a personal bin that is plenty for myself and my husband weekly, but usually order eggs as well.

~~ {{ Arcade No. 2 slot at Pike Place Market }} ~~…read more Love this stand! Christa(?) and Holly (when there) are wonderful ladies. Christa is kind, cool and friendly whenever I have questions or want anything in particular. The main love I have for them is that everything is organic AND plenty of variety to select from! Yams, carrots, garlic? They gots 'em, yo. Their booth size is very decent covering a variety of roots, greens, herbs and jams. Lately, I've been loading up on potatoes, sweet potatoes and yams for steaming and baking. They're located south in the arcade - just a short walk north from the flying fish crowd. Thumbs up & much love!

After one bite, my husband (who mostly ate spinach has his primary veggie), announced, "I never thought I liked beets, but these taste sooo good!!!" Growing Washington changed the way we cook and eat!!! We've been members of this CSA for three years and have offered our front porch as a hosting site. They provide 100% LOCAL and ORGANIC fruits, veggies, and even butter, flour, fresh flowers, herbs, and eggs. All the products are fresh and unique. The BEST thing about this CSA is that they provide a LIST of all the FRESH stuff on the farm that week, and you CHOOSE what works best for your taste, cooking style, and needs. You can be adventurous one week, and conservative next week. It's all so flavorful and delicious. I've been particularly impressed with the service. We've been going with the CSA for three years and anytime there has been questionable quality they always replace it, no questions asked. Two weeks in a row we got some icky misuna, and the third week they sent us FLOWERS. I always feel like I end up on top. Just another reason to love summer in Seattle.

This is a cute grocery store that we're lucky to have in the Fremont neighborhood! It is a bit…read morepricey but you're paying for fresh, local food and supporting a local business instead of a giant big box grocer, so I think it's worth the spend every once in a while. The layout of the store is nice and I always feel at peace shopping here whereas larger stores sometimes stress me out.

A few days ago, I came in to get a breakfast bagel with no meat. The manager was helping the woman…read morewho was pricing and told take $1 off because there was no meat and that's the most expensive part of the sandwich. Between that and the coffee, it was a great deal and I decided to make it a more regular thing. When I came back today, another woman priced my sandwich and charged me the same as one with meat. I politely asked her if she could take the $1 off because there was no meat and her response was "Actually, I'm charging you an extra dollar for making it custom." Mind you, there was another woman making breakfast sandwiches behind her... I then watched her take an already made one with meat on it, take off the meat, and then put it in to be heated up. This entire time she was "preparing" my "custom" sandwich, her mask was also below her nose and she was whispering to the other girl and looking back at me. I typically really like MarketTime but that woman is awful. I wasn't rude to her when I asked and her response was really uncalled for. It would have been just fine to say "I'm sorry, I can't do that", or "I'm not sure I'm allowed to do that", or " we have to charge all the sandwiches for the same price point". Here's a photo of the egg with meat bits and seasoning still on it.

It has been quite convenient to have this QFC as the closest grocery store from home. What I like…read moremost about it is that price is mostly reasonable and there is sales going on for some staple items always. Produce quality is pretty good and I've never had anything go bad in too short period of time. They also have a small international food section where I sometimes buy Asian snacks and ramen - I usually do my shopping for Asian groceries elsewhere, but when I'm in a hitch or randomly craving Asian food, I have an emergency stop at QFC. I also buy Japanese condiments like mirin and cooking sake from their alcohol section, which is a big win too! I saw another review about the deli section closing early and I did notice that - I asked what the operating hour is to the lady working there one day, and she told me on a good day it's open until 4 pm but they are generally understaffed. I haven't visited the deli section in months so it may be different now, but I hope the issue has been resolved. I always go through the self cashier but QFC staff are polite and helpful whenever I have issue with the machine. Some sale items wouldn't show up discounted, so you should watch out for that. When I ask the staff if they could correct the price, they are more than willing to fix it. Another pro is that the wifi game is strong - it's interesting to me because I feel like wifis weren't a thing in grocery stores in New York. Without the wifi you can't get any cell service, but once you join the wifi network, it connects immediately every time you enter the store.

How do we know this did this? Kroeger went on to have windfall profits that year. They're at it again with the increase in oil prices. Looking at some of these price increases, which are so large, you just know you are being gouged. Most of the staff is helpful, but there's two cashiers who -- perhapos because they are so overworked -- are rude, short, and impatient, they really ought not to be serving customers. Managers: get your act otgether.

I've been coming here for a few years now and then I left the city but whenever I do come back, I make sure to make a pit stop here. Why? Work is right next door to it. So that helps. But also, I feel like the veggies and fruits here are fresh, crisp, and tastier than other places. However... I do feel like prices are a bit higher than last time I was here a couple of months ago.
