I took my little family to check out this store after having a hectic day. We walked around the store innocently and grabbed a couple of snacks. On the way to check out, after they charged us our snacks, they threw in this back scrubber demanding that we pay for it because my 6 year old held it in her hands.. I said no, and they insisted the manager "saw" her grab it off the shelf. I agreed to pay due to the unnecessary embarrassment they were causing while the line was held up behind us. We did not see the manager as he or she was hiding away like a coward. Do not shop here. I would give 0 stars if I could. The experience was terrible. Side note: my children are very well behaved and never get into any trouble everywhere we go. They are very rude and MAKE u pay for extra items. We finally got to try their hot food and it was yummy! I had the bibimbop with beef and it was super delicious. I forced myself to save some for the next day and it was just as enjoyable then. E had the spicy pork bulgogi and it was really tasty too. It wasn't really spicy though, but still had a great flavor. He doesn't care for the sides, so I borrowed his sides for my meal. We also ordered the pot stickers. They were deep-fried as opposed to pan-fried, but I thought the flavor was fine. E doesn't like vegetables and thought they were "too vegetabley." With Covid the food was only available for take-out, but was carefully packaged and survived the 45-minute trip back home. We look forward to eating there again! read more

Menus are at the cashier - simply walk in and order/pay and have a seat. Loved the Korean music videos playing on the tv for entertainment. Once you pickup you food, return your tray and enjoy some time shopping for some Asian essentials if needed. Would definitely stop here again to try some of the other items on the menu. They got some of the harder to find products that the two other Asian markets don't have like prepackaged minced garlic and ginger, but they rotate through a lot of different products. Sometimes, they'll have it, then the following week, its gone. It's a good way to get exposed to a variety of products though and they probably have the best Korean selection in the valley read more

I always go shopping for groceries here but this is the first time I order food from the restaurant. Ya'll this food is AMAZING. The Ttukbokki Spicy Rice cake is a MUST! You need to try this. It's so good. I got that and Bulgogi Fried Rice which ended up being perfect for two people. We shared both dishes. I got the Udon Noodle Soup to try it out and the flavors are so fresh, just be careful let it sit before eating because it is boiling hot! Lol. We also tried fried beef and pork dumplings. I really enjoyed Seoul Asian Market. There are a few Korean places in town, but somehow this place seems less intimidating to those who are new to Korean food. It is more like a grocery store cafe. In fact you order at the grocery register and then pick up your order at the window. Upon first entering you notice that there are actually Korean people eating there. Good sign. The menu is fairly limited featuring just a few staples. Sometime I want to try the ramen, which is only $5. I'm sure it is based from prepackaged, but honestly I've never had any ramen worth the $13 they like to charge at other places. For drinks you can buy any beverage in the grocery store, and while they don't offer desserts at the cafe, you can pick up some Asian cookies or sweets in the grocery. My wife and I really enjoyed the meal. It is a break from the same old same old valley restaurants. Go give it a try. Even if you have never had Korean food there is nothing here that will be too weird. And the staff is friendly to give suggestions. read more

I love this market and cafe & am super excited that this place is in Pharr! It is a definite gem & much appreciated to have something different in this area. This is definitely comfort food for Asians. Most of the patrons and diners were Asian so you know it's good! Of course there were some who weren't (such as my hubby) and enjoyed it equally as much which brought a smile to my face! The only downside for me was there isn't much seating and can get a bit cramped. We went after the lunch rush around 1:30 and all the tables were occupied so we paid for our meal at the register and since there were no open tables we decided to look around the market. However, there is no wait list for tables even if you get there before someone else. A couple came in after us and snagged a table before we could get to it so we had to wait longer for another table to leave and we felt kinda weird just standing there looking at all of them so we wouldn't miss our chance to sit again (hence 4 stars and not 5). The food takes a little bit of time but, it's worth it as it's made fresh to order (and since we didn't have a table right away I didn't mind). I don't think I would come on my lunch break though. You can see all the cooks bustling around getting it done & then serve you with huge friendly smiles. I recommend getting the dolsot bibimbop vs the regular one cause the hot stone bowl gives your rice a nice crispy texture (just make sure to stir often so it doesn't overcook it). All in all looking forward to coming back and trying more dishes as well as shopping! read more

Stopped by and was surprised to see how empty it was. Cashier didn't greet us, kinda just stared off into space. There wasn't a lot of people in but the time we're in today I guess that's a good thing. Options were few which was disappointing because it being more Korean, I would think they would have more beauty products and food options...especially snacks. The food looked ok but way too over priced. 5.99 for a small dish of japchae? Nah. Again, maybe it's our situation today but probably would come back in a better time frame.
