They should either drop the price down to $20, or put some money into renovations which it desperately needs. When WiSpa is $40, this place just can't justify charging $30. One other oddity I experienced - I got a body scrub on this most recent visit and the guy who did the scrub demanded a tip right after the service, before I was ready to leave. I told him I needed to dry off and he insisted I walk into the locker room dripping water all over the floor to get him a tip. I wondered if he does that to pocket the ten dollars? I've been to at least 4 other Korean spas and never once had this problem. If you're looking in the South Bay area, I'd recommend Riviera spa. Paid for spa access and a body scrub. I'm the past, scrubs included exfoliation and a soap bath approximately 30 minutes. Last time I went I was just scrubbed, rinsed and dismissed. 15 minutes! Talked to the lady at front desk and she informed me that it is a 30 miniure service. I'd rather go to Riviera Spa. Larger, cleaner and not shady!!! read more

Seoul Health Spa is the best place for guys to hang out with other naked men while relaxing and enjoying themselves and each other. A great place to get away from the rat race and daily grind and enjoy a steam room, heat rooms and tv room with recliners (featuring a lot of great sports games). There are three pools: ice cold, steamy hot and regular. Lots of free clean towels and cold water, and best of all the massages are over the top! For $30, you can relax for hours and enjoy new friends! The owners are very friendly, too! read more

Don't let Grace fool you! She's tiny but mighty. Worked out the kinks by kneading me like bread dough. I came out feeling like a new person. No more stiffness! Make sure you communicate how strong you want her to go because she definitely can test your limits. Facility was a little run down and that's the only detraction. I maintain the 3 star rating because it's still a functioning spa. nothing else has changed either except the fees to get in. the steam room is still just as hot, the dry sauna same... the sleeping / tv room is the same, and the hot sleeping jade room is also the same, though now has a squeaky door, i assume from the humidity. I have yet to try the services, now that I moved out here to the south bay, I've been needing to get a good scrub, and my regular scrub guy in garden grove has been laid off, so i'm out of a good scrubber. some people are too strong and i feel like i'm getting a new layer of skin (i mean, you should be not THAT bad?) and some people are too soft, idek if they scrubbed anything off. LOL. it's a local one for me and it's accessible, that's why i maintain 3 stars. read more

Dirty/scummy as the previous reviewer stated. In December I went for a body scrub. Wasn't terrible but mediocre at best. I tipped $5. I returned a couple of weeks later just for sauna mostly because the place isn't too far from home. The worker approached me and said I only tipped in $5 and he wants $10. WTF?! I should have told him to F-off but instead I politely told him I tipped him what I thought he earned. I went today and requested a body scrub. I went in and immediately saw the worker and let him know I scheduled a scrub. He said I have to pay him "$10 now". Again WTF?! I said I would tip him after he completed the scrub. He said, "$10 now or no scrub for you" and walked away. I should have walked out and asked for my full $70 refund... When I did leave, the female owner was at the desk. She said she knew my scrub was cancelled. I said yes, because the worker wanted $10 tip upfront. She had a poker face and handed me $40 back. I said it was very unprofessional and asked if she was okay with that demand. She just stared at me with no comment. I guess they have enough business that they don't need mine anymore. read more

Older but clean. Hot, warm & cold tubs; hot, warm, relaxation & steam rooms. Body scrub was good but had better.

I know that 5 stars is pretty high, but I think about this place and just smile. I started going here because my original go-to spa, A-Ju, was forced to close down. Walking in, there is a small lobby and public restrooms. Sauna $10, body scrub an additional $20, massages start at $50 for an hour. Down the hall to the left is the entrance to the sauna. There is another hall behind it, that leads to the massage areas. In the lobby area, right when you enter, they do have a cooler for bottled/canned drinks. There is a public restroom there, too. When you pay, you'll get a large towel. Inside the locker room, there is a large wicker basket with little orange towels. There is no limit on small towels. The locker room has shoe and clothes locker.s. The shoes lockers don't have locks anymore. The bench in the center is huge and wooden. There is a bank of sinks. Razors, toothbrushes and grooming supplies flank the western wall. There is a door that leads to the sauna area There is a large hot bath, a cold (super friggin cold, actually) tub and a third one that is warm water. There are four upright showers and an area with a few Asian-style sitdown shower areas. Behind the bathroom is a body scrub area. There is a large dry sauna and a large steam sauna. Between those two rooms is another, more hidden shower. Hooks line the eastern wall for the large towel you're given when you stop at the front desk. This area is super lit. They have banks of halogen lights in the ceiling. If they were all on, it would be like being under a magnifying glass concentrating the sunlight. I appreciate the brightness. Beyond the locker room is the relaxation area. They have several recliners, all facing a huge LCD/plasma TV. Behind them is the jade stone room. It is a small chamber with broken jade rock on the floor, covered with a sheet and bamboo mats. The room is heated and quiet. I got a body scrub. Mr. Lee is quiet and efficient.. He scrubbed me real good. He nudged the junk a little, but not prying like some guys I've had in the past. The best part was the soapdown. He has some gloves that he soaps up and then drops suds all over your back and then rubs you down. It felt like velvet all over. When he was done, my skin was so smooth. The steam sauna is super nice. It has a different kind of steam generator than I have seen before. It comes out of the ceiling like a mist. (Very rarely used anymore. They have two small steam generators in opposite corners.) There is some sort of herb in there which adds a nice perfume to the air. (mugwort?) Depending on how many people have gone in there and how long the door has been closed, some days, the steam sauna is just stupid hot. Other days it is perfect. There is a faucet in there and someone usually leaves a blue bowl in there, so you can cool yourself down in there or use the water to wash down the seating area. The cold water pool is colder than any other pool I've ever jumped into. It closed my pores in less than .3 seconds. I walked in, dunked myself and dragged myself out. I thought I was going to trigger that reptilian reflex that slows down your heart and breathing, but luckily I was able to get myself out of there. Super clean, super bright, nakedness abounds. Most of the guys I've seen there are Asian, though there were a few Americans the other day looking a little shocked at all the nakedness. Unlike many places, they don't yell at you to leave after a few hours. I've never stayed more than 3 hours, but there are guys who will sleep in there for multiple hours. They do have good masseuses. All of them are Asian. They will walk on your back, if you like. Be sure to tell them how you like your pressure. If you don't say anything, they tend to go for strong pressure. Don't expect any funny business. This is a legit and professional massage. I appreciate that about them. Jenny is my favorite, but Mimi does a good massage, as well. They will give you some oversized shorts to wear in the massage area. This is a men's only facility. read more

Cute little place i discovered when my regular K Spa was closed for Black Friday. Definitely on the small side, but it's kept up well, the place was clean and well stocked, everything worked. The hot tub is HOT and the cold dip is COLD (as it should be). The front desk staff very friendly. Worth checking out if you're a K Spa person and you're in the neighborhood. read more

This place is terrible, don't come here! For starters the guy at the front desk short changed me and then argued the math 90-87=3 but he was adamant it was 2. I should have taken this as a sign and walked out. But I needed a good massage. Second after the lady started the massage she asked if I wanted oil, I said sure because that's how it's done right. Anyway she handed me my wallet and said it's $10 extra. Frustrated I declined and got a dry massage. Afterwards she would not leave the room so I could dress and then held out her hand for a tip. I told her to give me a minute so I could dress and she stood there the whole time with her hand out. Finally I gave her a $20 and she wanted more! I told her "NO, it wasn't even a good massage!". I then sited my complaint about the oil and it should have been brought up when I entered. She rubbed her sweaty forehead on my wrist and tried to look sad. On a recent visit to LA a friend and I were in need of a massage before a concert. We saw this place online, but didn't think we wanted to pay the fee. We ended up stopping by to ask if we could massages and the person at the front desk said yes, but it would be an hour. I thought okay, we can just visit the sauna in the meantime. He emphatically said no. He explained in Korean that it was a men's spa, but we could get massages. I giggled and we went out. As we explored the neighborhood which seemed to have no people around at 10 am he saw us and called us in for the massages. My friend who is Korean had a woman that spoke mostly Korean and me, the non-Korean got the person who was English speaking. Either way wouldn't have mattered to me. I like opportunities to practice my Korean even if strangers won't indulge me, but that's not the story now. We had to pay for the massages upfront. Oddly we also had to tip at payment too. Desperate times had me tipping upfront. We both used the restroom before massages. The reason I can't give 5 stars is the bathroom wasn't very "attractive", but it was functional. The rooms where the massages took place were simple. I thought it was different that they had like saloon doors, but I kept it moving. We had to change in the room into the uniform which was a pair of shorts. My masseuse was good. Without telling her anything she could find all my issues. At one point she asked me what did I do to myself. I wished I knew too because I was struggling. She massages everything deeply. She offered to use her feet and I accepted. She had some strong feet but did a thorough job. I wasn't struggling to breathe either. After an hour she finished up and I came out of the room looking and feeling worked over. She did give me an envelope for tip but I reminded her that I already included it when I paid. I feel like that was just a miscommunication. The person at the front desk was very nice and when he learned how far we had traveled he gave us some hand cream. Such a sweet gesture. I'd visit again if I was in the area and need a good massage. read more

Update on my trip here. I apparently contracted scabies here. I had a deep tissue massage and used the facilities. I have been up nights now miserably scratching. So I checked out this place today. The facility is lacking. The One hour deep tissue is $65 not $55 as the last picture posted here. I paid with credit card, he asked me if I would like to add tip. So I did. I got my hour deep tissue and as usual with other places the masseuse handed me a tip envelope. So is the tip I paid at check in for the facility? I've never had that at any other K Spa. The massuese was good. I totally wanna tip here but at the same time I feel taken with the tip st check in for a very lacking facilities. Thoughts? read more

I hated this place. I only wanted the spa/sauna and they kept asking me about a massage. I had never been here before and I was meeting a friend who was already inside but he wasn't answering his phone. I kept telling them I just wanted the spa but they took me back to the massage room. I asked repeatedly if this was a part of the spa -- or what I found out later -- the sauna. I even used the google translation and the lady just smiled at me and kept saying massage. After about an hour, she finally understood but wanted me to give her a tip and the manger wanted me to pay for everything and it was just a mess and then tried for force a big tip. I went there after a bad experience with a weird guy who was playing with his Johnson. In my mind I was this "weird guy is no more..." "the price went up he ain't gonna be here" so I went...when I stepped in this guy was there playing with his Johnson and taking pictures..."I was like dangit" very very weird!!! So I went upon my own business jumping from pool to pool, "for I had no other option I had paid already..." anyways, later I noticed this guy was on a seat in the resting area scoping out the entrance...then I seen this young cat with long hair enter the hot pool and suddenly this guy "the Perv" comes from his resting spot and sits next to "long hair guy" and then stated to arouse his Johnson like before...I felt bad for the long hair guy for he seem very uncomfortable! I immediately took my exit shower, and changed!!! I immediately went to the "Owner" or manager up on the front desk and snitched on this dirty animal...this is very sad!!! I really want to like this place cause this place looks clean and have all the necessary amenities I want. HOWEVER, one of the employee who seems like he's patrolling the place was constantly talking to the regulars really loud for a extended period of time in Korean. If he's patrolling the place, why are there people wearing bathing suits in the pool and some people are even using cell phones in the sauna area when we're all butt naked. read more

Had a couple hrs to kill between son's hockey and picking friend up from LAX so thought a Korean Spa (jjim jjil bang) would hit the spot. Got here and they were super cool. Place is old and kinda dumpy and you get what you pay for but it gets the job done. Couple mins after getting here I get a text from my friend that the flight came in an hr early. So I had to cancel and rush out. Felt bad so didn't ask for refund but they insisted on it. Thought that was cool of them. FYI non-Asian gangbangers will prob not be in. So it was my first time here and so lets start outside. Vast parking and a huge lot so no problem there. Outside of the business and surrounding area is very clean and felt safe even in the early evening hours. I walked in and a nice women greeted us with a smile and gave us our towel with our locker both myself and my boyfriend walked into a very quaint and quiet spa environment. We spent 2 hours circulating thru their hot cold and tepid pool. The dry sauna and steam are small but very hot and invigorating. Overall i enjoyed myself at this nice establishment and walked away relaxed and destressed. Would recommend and will visit again soon. read more

(recommend it) 3 pools: hot, cold and warm Sauna and steam room are well-maintenanced. steaming herbs (asian medicine) in steam room, smell nice. I would suggest a meditation room if possible. Overall, the spa is average but the price makes it worthwhile. Entry is only $12 and includes towel, locker, razors, toothbrush. The sauna and steam room are pretty hot, do not leave you wanting. They also have an area with large recliners for napping/resting, I would prefer if the main tub/pool was hotter, and the facilities are pretty small. The showers only have bar soap, not exactly sanitary. Liquid soap or body wash would be preferred. The sandals are also just piled in a rack, it would be better if they handed them to you with keys so that you know they are clean, but this is probably why the entry is such a bargain. read more

Basically what the other reviewers said. It's a small, basic, no nonsense men's K-spa. The price can't be beat, and it's clean. I've been a couple of times and had the scrub, but not the massage/acupressure treatments. I went there on weekdays 530pm-ish ..& it was slow almost no other people & actually I could relax since it's so quiet.. dry sauna, steam sauna both were great. the shower section...they don't have body wash..I don't wanna share the bar soap with random strangers...& shampoo were kinda cheap suave brand..like 99 cents stuff...therefore 2 stars minus:-( still not bad for the price & If it's slow like that, you can relax for sure! read more

I go here mainly for 1hour acupressure. Clean locker area and decent rest area. The masseuses are nice ladies who can unloosen any tight knot of muscle. But I prefer medium pressure as high pressured massage gives me bodyache next day. Normally, second day after massage, my body feels much more relaxed ans light. Skin exfoliation is another good way to have smooth and soft skin, but no pain no gain. Place does show sign of age, especially shower heads and floor. read more

Relaxing and awesome place! I have came here three times already and it's been a good experience all the times I have gone. The first time went, I accidentally left my locker open and one of the other patrons there watched for no one to steal from me while I was gone for a few minutes. I realized fast that I left my locker open and he told me that someone tried to steal from me and to make sure I stay more vigilant next time. So make sure you lock your locker before leaving the locker room. read more

I went there today not really knowing what to expect. The spa is located in a mostly Korean strip mall painted bright marigold. Its unassuming exterior belies the relatively nice interior. They've got the usual amenities for a small Korean spa: locker rocker, resting room with TV and lots of lounge chairs. The spa area has the sauna and steam room, hot, medium and butt-cold pools, too, along with showers. I also had a massage, the kind that requires a sweet but very strong Korean walk on back and most of my backside. G R E A T massage. The $10 entrance makes it worth it.
