Across 2 visits and 4 phone calls, she regularly interrupted me, told me I was wrong, and made me feel unwelcome. I'm 36, and this is honestly the worst customer service I've ever experienced. The good news is that Dr. Zonshayn has an excellent bedside manner, is clearly an expert in his field, and he gave me a cortisone shot that helped ease my pain. However, given the receptionist, I won't be going back unless absolutely necessary.

The doctors who work here are knowledgeable and want to give the best care they can (along with the staff), and from what I've seen in several visits, they have a lot of patients who need help. The building is within a business complex, and there is plenty of parking. The waiting room has a lot of magazines out to read, and a very old box TV hanging from the ceiling. Based on the level of care that my family has received here, I would recommend anyone else to come if they are in need of these services. Everything is clean and orderly.

Every time I have come, the nurses and doctors explained everything to me and what to expect and were so friendly. I looked forward to going since I knew I would be treated so well. The steroid injections were semi helpful but I have so much scar tissue that needs to break up before I am 100% again but I've had some temporary relief and have noticed some positive changes. Thing I couldn't normally do, I can now do- which is always a positive. The facility is clean, the front desk checks you in quickly and the staff is amazing. The last time I came for my final injection- I had some bad side effects and got lightheaded and couldn't lift my leg, I freaked out a bit and gave myself a panic attack- the nurses stood by my side and helped me get out of the panic attack and reassured me everything that was happening as far as the leg pain and the fact that I can't move my leg was normal side effects due to the heavy dose of steroids. The last times I got the injections I had no side effects besides being drowsy from the anesthesia. When you're done your procedure they give you ginger-ale or coke and cookies and crackers to try and come to after resting in the room a bit. I wish I had all the staff members names because I'd like to recognize them on here but all the staff there including doctor Bruno are awesome! This facility is full of a lot of people that really care about their patients, and it shows through their actions. When I arrived I was told I was a "no show" because my appt was at 1:20 when I had written down on 2 different calendars that it was 1:40. I believe the receptionist put me in the wrong slot. Almost in tears, I expressed how long I've waited, how much pain I've been in and that it would be impossible for me to leave work again. I was told to wait and sat for over 30 mins to be told Dr. Khoury wouldn't see me. But "the good news was they wouldn't charge me for a no show fee!!" Unbelievable! He ended up developing a dependency and ended up in a detox facility. I was surprised that the doctors in this practice felt comfortable prescribing the patient opiates again two years later! Praying a dependency does not develop again and if so will Independence Pain Associates pay the $2000+ detox program?! She is a seasoned professional who has done so much for me over the last 6 weeks! I have had foot neuropathy and balance problems for a long time. Recently I had major back surgery at HUP. After recovering, I needed help to learn to walk again. Finally, I made an appointment with Margaret for a very long evaluation along with testing. She recognized my problems, identified a few more, and put together a comprehensive plan to address my many problems together. Every member of her staff is kind, competent, and caring. They work with clients one-on-one. I feel supported, motivated, and cared-for as I learn how to feel better and stronger. I read and often rely upon reviews from others for all sorts of things. My therapist, Dr. Val Davi, was smart, professional, and personable. She made my twice weekly visits a lot of fun, plus I always left with exercises I could do to improve my balance to reduce my risk of falling. I also have occasional vertigo so I'll be going back when and if that re-appears. I highly recommend this facility (and Val!). You can't do any better.
