For reasons unknown, MBO NEVER answers their phone. A recording claims "Your call is very…read moreimportant to us . . ." but that's clearly a lie. If you know the person you need to talk to, you can, with difficulty, reach their phone, and of course they won't answer either. So leave a voicemail, and I wish you the very best of luck. Generally, I don't get any response until I leave the third or fourth (increasingly irritated) voicemail. Example 1: I was in more pain than I had expected, and I called my doctor for some oxycodone, which he had offered previously. I had expected a call-back. Didn't happen. I had expected my pharmacy to fill the prescription within a day. Didn't happen, because THEY NEVER GOT THE ORDER! It took SIX DAYS and FOUR VOICEMAILS before the order was filled. Full disclosure: there was a weekend and a holiday intervening, but if MBO had reacted on the day I called, that wouldn't have been a factor. Example 2: I called to schedule surgery, asking for a particular week. (Per usual, no one answered the phone, and I had to leave a voicemail.) As it turned out, scheduling for that week wasn't available yet; it was too far in the future. Did I get a call-back, explaining the situation? Nope. All I got was ignored. So, not realizing the problem, I called again, and had to leave another voicemail. [wait . . . wait . . . wait . . . ] No call-back; I had been ignored again. Once more I called, and, uh . . . expressed my frustration. This time, I got a return call, and I had the common courtesy to answer my phone. [MBO, take note: actually answering a phone call is considered a GOOD thing.] The conversation did not go smoothly. If I had only gotten a return call after my very first voicemail, explaining that I was calling too early, all the ensuing mess would not have occurred. On the other hand, the actual medical care has been fine. The problem is entirely with the support staff, who seem to view patients as an intrusion into their very busy workday, to be ignored if possible, and barely tolerated otherwise.

What happened to all the NEGATIVE reviews regarding Dr. Ranelle??? When I posted this review in…read moreJanuary of 2023, there were MANY negative reviews. After many years of going to pain management for neck pain, I felt it was time to see an orthopedic surgeon. I thought I had made an appointment to see Dr. Sutton, but a Dr. Ranelle came into the room instead. This guy is a trip. He made a grand entrance, spouting comical remarks that fell flat and awkward. He asked me a few QUICK questions I felt he already knew the answers to. I didn't get a chance to tell him of my neck history because this guy already had an agenda. That agenda was to push GABAPENTIN and physical therapy. I informed him that I would not be taking gabapentin due to its side effects - some quite serious - and if he asked the right questions, he would have found out that I am not a good candidate for that drug. And if I was going to take gabapentin I would have stayed with Pain Management. Mr. Wanna-be-the-next-Eddy Murphy did not like my response and went into a spiel of condescending and intimidating remarks that bordered bullying, going into a rant about how "he doesn't know ANYONE who wouldn't take gabapentin," while shaking his head and alluding to me being strange as he continued. I felt like I was in the twilight zone and just wanted out. He also kept telling me to "trust him." Look, if a patient doesn't want to take a certain drug, ACCEPT IT. I left disappointed. I was hoping that this doctor would be the one that would talk to me, give me options, and let ME decide what treatment is best for me. I do want to point out that the staff people were very nice and professional. I will not be returning to this office.

To receive this kind of customer service, during this hardship time, really makes a difference. I've always been in and out during every single visit. That's a plus.
