My daughter and I also had a bad experience at Sephora inside JCPenney today. Immediately they said, "here's a basket, the $5-$15 deals are in the hallway". We said we were coming to look at skin care and they literally laughed in our face & WALKED AWAY. This was by 2 workers: a young man & a young woman who would rather spend time "so-called working" & actually talking to each other and making fun of paying customers who are there to buy Christmas presents. Shame on management for letting such rude and ignorant people work there. I think they're only nice if they think you were going to spend a lot of money, hence the one glowing review where the shopper had a free facial. Who is going to buy from Sephora JCP when they consistently treat customers so poorly? Here's my advice: just buy online and leave honest reviews. We left feeling completely blindsided by their rudeness!! I will tell anyone who will listen to stay away until they hire pleasant, professional and polite workers. read more

This Sephora is located inside JCPenney. Compared to other Sephora locations, this has a smaller assortment and limited stock. If there's something that you need real quick and hoping they would be in stock here instead of going to Sephora in a mall or large shopping center, then this is the place to go. Service: There's limited amount of people working on the floor. Probably two - three people working most of the time. It seems like most of them were busy checking out customers, so I ended up helping myself out and using google to help me pick out my moisturizer. Other than that, the workers were still friendly at checkout. Product: Like I had said, this location has a smaller assortment since it's a shop within a shop, so don't expect to get everything you have at your regular Sephora. They do have some great giftable sets during the holidays and stocking stuffers specifically for JCP. read more

I am not sure why there are so many negative reviews on this place. On my visit to Sephora, I enjoyed my experience. I opted in for a mini facial from a Sephora employee and had loved the outcome. I was told to sit by the studio and the employee asked my skin type. As I'm extremely dry, she grabbed all the products that penetrate hydration to my skin. My favorite product was the Peter Thomas peel mask product. I could see the dry skin peel off right before my eyes and there was an amazing glow to my face. I would recommend this Sephora and the employees for his location. Thank you the employee that helped me with my facial! You're amazing! read more

A couple of weeks before my wedding this past March I made a trek to Sephora and... things got weird. $400 dollars later I was armed with everything I could ever want (and MORE!!!) and had been taught by Ken, a wonderful guy at the Sephora store, how to do it all. This store is much much smaller than the one at Memorial City Mall as it is located inside the JC Penny like a little side item to your main meal, but it has all the staples, and the people are just as knowledgeable. This was my second Sephora, as at my first trip at a different location I left looking like a geisha with bright red lips, super white skin and glitter everywhere. Not the look I was going for for my wedding day. Or ever. I felt that Ken really listened to what I wanted and helped me figure out how to get there. He even threw in a lot of freebies and a hug. I HATE this location so much ! Customer service is terrible . Nobody greets you what so ever and when you do need help tha associates does not help you what so ever. All they do is stand there and talk there coworkers! Place needs to work on there customer service skills . Why do they have one sales person working today on Valentine's Day? I patiently waited my turn for assist on finding a few items that I needed. There was 4 ladies that were there before me so I waited my turn but then she keeps helping everyone else l, I made a remark saying I hope I'm not and she said yes I'm so sorry you are after I help the customers at the counter, I said no worries. I've worked customer service and retail I completely understand she's only one person running a story and nonstop traffic but when someone has already been waiting 45 minutes pati for there turn and then help someone find a good color match that's not going to be quick help. After 50 minutes I sat my items down and walked out. That's waaayy longer then I'd norma wait at any place but I understand and was giving the benefit of the doubt. For now on I will go all the way to La Centera to get my stuff even though traffic and parking sucks but at least you won't wait an hour to get some help! Avoid this location at all cost! and they don't have a large selection of products anyways and everything is empty, idk if they don't know how to order supplies to accommodate the store or what!! read more

Walking into the store the music is turned up so loud that it's completely disruptive. Not to mention when u go to check out there's one check out girl and another girl just sitting at the register. Could she not take a minute to help out her coworker by checking out a guest or two?? read more

Really needs work on their customer service. I was greeted at the door and that was it! I came in on a weekday and the store was empty. It was hard to get someone to assist me in matching my skin color. There were several associates just standing around and talking to each other. I had to approach an associate for assistance and she just looked at me like I bothered her and to top it off she matched me with a shade too dark. I will not be returning to this location. read more

Cashier was not friendly at all. Was just at the location in the mall not too long ago and they were SO much nicer!

This location gave me the worst customer service. People here were so unprofessional, rude, and not classy. I have been shopping at Sephora since my early middle school years and have never experienced such a degrading customer service as I have experienced at this location. I came in asking for help and walked out with nothing accomplished, the employees here seemed to not even care about the concern I had or the invasion I experienced. read more

I came in today to get a certain color and instead of the workers guiding me they rushed me. I wasn't greeted at all and I had to find someone to help me. The first person who "helped" me told me about different colors instead of walking me to them and showing me the colors. The second person looked annoyed as if I was bothering her with my questions. I'm not a makeup guru and just needed help finding a few colors. If you want real help without being rushed go to the one in Memorial City Mall. No wonder why this store was empty on a holiday. They're NEVER willing to give me a sample either. Everyone looked as if they came out of a bad meeting. read more
