he did a good job cutting my hair, but did a horrendous job when fading my taper and left it super uneven. I rock the man bun so now I have to wait about two years for it to grow back so it's even again. I can't put my hair up because it's super embarrassing the bad job he did. Today I went to the Sephora at La Plaza Mall. Most of the time I order online but I needed to buy something so I decided to check it out. OMG, the store was a mess. All the samples were disgusting. Product outside the containers all smeared and slimy bacteria overload. Shelves were in disarray. I'll continue to shop online. The employees were very nice though. read more

A guy being the first to review Sephora? YES INDEEDY... From what I understand this is one of their "Flagship" locations, and one of the biggest in Texas. I totally love this spot, they carry Jack Black products which I have used for the past 3 years, and are ama-za-zing! They also have a huge selection of men's fragrances, and skin/shave products. I always walk out w/ so many FREE samples since not so many men walk in there and ask for them. GOOD STUFF! read more

I walked into the store looking for a new foundation, I wanted to try something new, get some feedback and suggestions. When I walked in, absolutely nobody greeted my mother and I. Every employee just looked at us, they didn't even bat an eye. Maybe if they were busy, but they were literally just standing there, staring. A simple "Hello" or "Welcome" would have sufficed but a "How may I help you" is expected since I was willing to buy multiple items Anyways, I went to Mac Cosmetics and found exactly what I needed! read more

This is my first visit here. This place is clean, the two ladies who were working here forgot to ask their names were so courteous & helpful. They answered all my questions with honesty & very knowledgeable. On top of that the samples I asked for they gave me sample size but not just a drop like some places have given, she also told me about Sephora's website called Play by Sephora which I never heard of. I've been a Sephora-holic for many many years, mainly online shopping. The benefit of in-store shopping is trying out swatches, matching colors & experiencing the store vibe. I'm never going to this store again after getting my debit card number stolen from an employee there. There were charges up to $1000 in one day! Due to their card swipe machine being behind their counter, it is very unsecure & left my information vulnerable. I'm extremely let down. Be very wary shopping during these holidays. read more

Shopping for cosmetics, perfume or anything beauty related is an absolute joy at Sephora in La Plaza mall in Mcallen. All of the staff is very friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. I went in there looking for a sunscreen and a saleslady suggested I sample several of their products to make sure I chose what was best for me and I have found the sunscreen and several other products which I plan on using for years to come. read more
