On Saturday, February 1st, my wife bought me a perfume as a surprise for my birthday, knowing I had run out. However, I had already ordered the same perfume online. When I told her, she asked me to return the one she bought. To my surprise, when I arrived at the store, the manager refused to process the return, claiming that the item was missing the cellophane wrapping. I immediately called my wife, who confirmed that it was sold to her exactly as it was--without any plastic seal. Despite this, the manager insisted that they *never* sell unwrapped products. How is it possible that they sold us an open product and then refused to accept the return, even insinuating that we had opened it ourselves? Completely unacceptable! I even asked them to check the security footage, but they dismissed my request, saying it was handled by another department. This is a disgraceful way to treat customers--accusing them of lying instead of taking responsibility. We will *never* shop at this store again. I demand a full refund, as they sold us an opened product that, by their own admission, shouldn't have been sold in the first place!

The company began in 1970 in Paris, then was acquired by Dominique Mandonnaud in 1993, who merged the purchase with his own perfume chain under the Sephora brand. Thereafter, they sold to LVMH which has grown the brand expeditiously. Not sure what the ownership status is today, but obviously the Company has been quite successful since its first started. What I like about Sephora is their assisted self-service sales experience, which is not as common from their competitors. My main reason for shopping at Sephora is for Men's shampoos and face creams.
