To make matters worse, after causing thousands in damage, they had the audacity to send me a bill for hundreds of dollars. I called the next day on Sunday and left a message on their recorder, someone did called me back that day, who ever I spoke with told me that they would be able to come on Monday. Sure it was inconvenient for us to have to use the SuperMarket 2 miles away for our more urgent needs and we ate out, you don't know how much you miss running water or flushing until you don't have it! Anyway, the Arky guys came and pumped out the septic and replaced the filter on the pump, the young man said it was most likely caused by the gunked up filter, I asked if we should have the septic pumped more often, at that time we had lived here for 4 years, so I knew it had been pumped at the time of the sale. But he told me that what I really needed was the have the filter replaced every 6 months because of the configuration of the pipe from the basement to the septic, so I follow the instructions and keep a heathy septic and replace the filter every six months, they come automatically and do it. The problem is solved and the service and price is good. They did tell me that for just two people and keeping the septic healthy you should be able to go for several years without pumping the tank.
