This organization took a great experience for us (building our new retirement home in Dingmans…read moreFerry, PA) and turned it into a nightmare. The Contractor/Builder work was extremely inferior. There was absolutely no project management nor any supervision during our project, resulting in us, as the homeowners, having to create a punch list that was pages and pages long. We identified broken windows, never-tested appliances, dented brand new refrigerator, incomplete electrical panel labeling, no furnace filter, brackets and screws missing on our decks, multiple doors hung incorrectly, mis-aligned cabinets/fixtures, poorly caulked kitchen island and sinks, inoperable exhaust fans and light switches, badly spackled walls, missing fireplace molding, never-installed washer/dryer stack kit, non-working doorbell, paint stains on new flooring and kitchen cabinets. The list goes on and on. Bottom line: there was no Project Manager to supervise the work that was performed in our home. We were told many times that this organization's owner/project manager had other large project obligations. Not something we wanted to hear as it was evident our retirement home project was suffering. We mistakenly made our last project payment in good faith as the owner promised to remedy all remaining open items. Foolish on our part, for sure. He addressed a few items on our punch list and then went radio silent. Unfortunately, to date, we continue to find other problems in our new home, which we understand may be considered unsafe. My suggestion is to make sure you find a Contractor/Builder who is 100 percent dedicated to your project. And, that organization has someone on their team who is responsible for Quality Assurance. Or you will be the person creating an extensive punch list and crossing your fingers you will get 100 percent resolution to issues that never should have been on your punch list to begin with.

I don't know if there is enough space to express how incredible Glenn and Griffin of GJP…read moreContracting are. They have done a couple of projects for me so far and its been hands down the best experience. Glenn always makes himself available, works with top notch sub-contractors who he's known for years. His team of subcontractors are all just as professional and and reliable as he is. The difference with Glenn and Griffin is that they are present for each and every job; they don't send a random crew. They are on site all day, every day with their sleeves rolled up to get the job done. They are always conscious of the fact that this is your home and leave the place spotless at the end of each day. Given the quality of work and service, their prices are also very fair. Finding a contractor who is honest and trustworthy always seemed like a golden unicorn but we have found this in Glenn and Griffin. Aside from their impeccable work, they are both genuinely one of the nicest people I have ever met. How many people can say they want to hug their contractor and take them out for a drink? There is a reason why almost every house on my block has used them, not once but multiple times. I can't recommend them enough.

GJP Contracting is truly "As good as it gets!" and is hands down the best experience I've ever had…read morewith a contractor my entire life. Around a year and a half ago my wife and I were deciding whether to sell our house and upgrade or build upon our existing starter home (a small ranch). After checking out and being disappointed with a lot of houses in our price range we decided to explore building up and renovating our existing home. It was then that we contacted GJP Contracting to get an idea of what we could do, how much it would be, what the timeline would be, etc. Little did we know, this conversation would also be the prologue to the story of how we now live in our dream home. From our first discussion with Glenn, we could tell he was experienced, knowledgeable, fair, and most importantly honest. He recommended we contact an architect, a colleague of his, to get things started and take it from there. From the initial drawings to when we broke ground in early 2017 flew by. As the house started to take shape, Glenn met with us EVERY step of the way, kept in frequent contact with us, and let us know how everything was going. This gave my wife and I an enormous sense of comfort, which you need when you drive past your house and see the roof missing and the walls being knocked down! Throughout the process he was able to provide recommendations for literally everything we needed. This includes, but is not limited to bathroom fixtures and vanities, tiles, flooring, painting, exterior design, windows, etc. Needless to say, ALL of those things came out absolutely perfect. Due to the work going so smoothly, we actually decided to dip into our rainy day fund and do a bit extra to truly transform our little starter ranch into a dream home. By the time we were done with the project we turned out 2 Bedroom 1 Bath 1050 sq. foot rambler ranch with an eat-in kitchen into a 3 Bedroom, 3 Bath 2200 sq. foot home with a dining room, play room, master suite with raised ceiling, walk-in closets, and office. Glenn and Griffin are TRULY miracle workers. Oh...and did I mention he completed all the work within an incredible amount of time? I recently saw Glenn and he asked what thought of the house and the work of GJP Contracting and only 1 word really came to mind - perfection. Best contractor in NJ - you cannot go wrong with GJP.
