I have been trying to schedule an appointment with them after my surgery for over 3 weeks. I asked by doctor to use this group instead of their group as I liked Kyle. However, this place has gone to the dogs. they don't call you back. When I finally talked to Lisa, she promised to call me back. nothing. Terrible service. Look, if they are booked and don't want my business that is fine, but have the common friggin courtesy to call me back and tell me. I have been sitting here, wanting to get started on PT and they have no respect for anyone. I have since found another qualified PT group who actually called me back in like 5 minutes. KU Sports Medicine has gone the way of its basketball program, right down the tubes.

Both injuries had become chronic and nothing had helped significantly until I was finally steered in the right direction. I have been really diligent with my exercises for both injuries and have improved by leaps and bounds! I imagine all of their therapists are good but I worked with Megan and I highly recommend her! The only reason why I am not leaving a 5 star review is that their services are VERY expensive. If you've got good insurance then that shouldn't be a problem but I mine has a very high deductible so I did have to pay a significant amount of money out of pocket for the physical therapy. It was worth every penny but still very expensive.

My orthopedic surgeon at KCOI…read moregave me specific activity restrictions, but instead of respecting those restrictions or contacting my doctor for clarification, the therapist argued with me about them. As a patient, I don't think I should be put in the middle of a disagreement between my physician and my therapist. Another concern was the lack of consistency in my care. I was treated by different therapists, and each seemed to have different opinions, different treatment plans, and different exercise recommendations. It was confusing and made it difficult to feel confident that everyone was working toward the same goals. I wasn't told when I scheduled I wouldn't just be with one therapist. In my past with different clinics I had always been seen by the same physical therapist throughout. The gold standard of care. I expected better communication, coordination, and respect for my care and physician's instructions. Patients benefit most when their healthcare providers work together rather than giving conflicting advice. I spoke with the owner and it seems they may be short on therapists and overbooked.

The care and treatment I received from the Physical therapist as well as the office manager was above exceptional. I received excellent care and treatment for the rehabilitation ofy shoulder after a slap tear fix and then car of my knee after having a repair done. The exercises taught in office and then done at home were successful in getting both shoulder and knee back to full use with in the 6 to 8 week treatment time . I feel that both are stronger then they were even pre surgery. .I was taught exercises to help stretch and strengthen the areas and feel they are easy to do at home which has allowed me to return to playing pickleball which was the goal.

Amanda at the front desk has been amazing trying to help us as best as she can but this has been an on going issue with the actual billing office and sadly lack of communication with ALL management. My son has always been dual insured and as someone who works in medical billing I do this for good reason, Amanda has always collected and kept that updated in his chart. The billing department has failed to 1 file both insurance companies 2 file the correct insurance company and 3 file in the correct order. I am afraid to know how much we have overpaid without realizing it. I didn't start paying attention ( my fault) until I started getting $500+ bills from them when we should have only owed $35 per visit. It took having Amanda request a detailed ledger multiple times before they sent it to her for me. They do NOT have a phone number to speak with billing on any invoice and refuse to contact patients. I have requested a call from them, their manager, Amanda's manager and the director. I still have not heard anything from anyone BUT Amanda. They do not have an issue with texting and emailing me reminders about at $50 balance every week and a new statement every month ( with the practice phone number not billing ) but they can not be bothered to reach out when requested. This is bad practice management at it's finest. As much as we have loved our physical therapist and my son has built a really good relationship with them we have switch our care to another practice based off of their billing practices and lack of adequate management communication.

None was able, or even interested in, getting to the root cause of my foot problems. The analysis that Dr. Dischinger conducted was far more thorough than I'd experienced previously, and the interventions/exercises made it clear that he had identified the source of the issue. My…read morefriend Doug talked to me for weeks about how much his chronic back and hip pain had decreased since starting PT. He also mentioned Dry Needling, which I hadn't heard of, though I had tried Acupuncture before. (Let me tell you, acupuncture and dry needling couldn't be more different. If you have knots in your muscles, you MUST try dry needling!) Because of my chronic back pain, I was nearly immobile and damn near bedridden. I had Degenerative Disc Disease in my L5-S1 disc, sciatica pain which ran down my glutes ask the way to my feet. I had tried physical therapy before, but I didn't like that he therapy at other PTs was not one on one appointments. My therapist was always bouncing between me and 3 other patients at a time. My first appointment was with Ethan McCoy. It was a one on one session which started with needling. I got worse from physical therapy the last time I tried it, so I had NO intention of doing PT beyond dry needling. But Ethan talked to me about the necessity to "get moving" and said he could help me. I reluctantly scheduled some appointments for PT and I've never been more happy with that decision. I went from having deflated, atrophied muscles throughout my entire body to now down 28 pounds from consistent exercise multiple times a week and walking everyday, and I'm now showing more fun, lean muscle mass. Ethan and the staff and their support has completely changed my outlook on physical therapy. I went from barely being able to walk a few city blocks to walking up to 4-5 miles a day. Ethan has taught me the importance of consistency of movement. He's been my biggest cheerleader when it comes to my workout progress. He helped me get into shape before I had Disc Replacement Surgery on August 1, 2020. He continues to help me post-surgery while my doctors are working to continue to find solutions to my pain.
