There is also a large garden inventory and a small metaphysical section. Items are a mix of old and new, and they're unique - I didn't see more than one of anything. Because of this, you literally have to plan to look at every shelf. Every time I turned around, I spotted something I wanted to buy - and I left with quite a haul. Owner wrapped and packaged everything for me. Definitely should visit this place if you are visiting the antique mall next door!

It's in a convenient location for me too; and it's doubly nice because I can walk through Michaels and Target during the same errand run. It's definitely worth stopping in seasonally to see what's new, at least to me! I had so much fun shopping here over the summer because of all the outdoorsy/camping-related decor. Now of course the store has been taken over by fall and Halloween items - which means soon I'll be back again to see if I need to add anything to my in-house winter wonderland. This place is wonderful hidden gem that certainly lives up to its name! I stumbled upon it after a…read moremonth-long search for an original Hoosier cupboard. Not wanting to drive to Ohio or Philadelphia to purchase one, I happened to call The Treasure Shack to see whether they had any in stock. I spoke with the gentleman who owns the Shack and he informed that he did, indeed, have a couple original Hoosiers in his store. He described them both to me in great detail and, based upon that conversation, I decided to drive out to Bridgeville and check them out. The moment I walked into this store, I knew I would be going home with more than a cupboard. The Shack is a well-curated little antique store that sells everything from mid-century furniture to (gorgeous) Imperial carnival glass to creepy little trinkets from the 1940s and 50s (i.e., wobbly clown toys). It's well organized, nicely decorated, and smells kinda like grandma's kitchen (in a good way). I ended up purchasing a Hoosier, as well as some glassware, after perusing the store and chatting with the owners for a couple minutes. (Side note: The owners are quite personable and very knowledgeable. They seemed more than happy to answer my random questions.) Even if you don't have something specific in mind, I recommend taking a couple minutes to browse the store if you're in the area. The selection is quite varied and the prices are more than reasonable. Needless to say, I definitely wasn't disappointed with my Treasure Shack experience, and the 25 minute drive to Bridgeville was worth every second.

The cash registers and the self-checkout had long lines, but the machine rang up my purchase correctly. Furthermore, I used the women's restroom here, and it was fairly clean.

It's a store that sells upcycled furniture that the owner, Galene, rescues, paints, and sells to a good home. Gaylene used to work for the May Company as a decorator. It's obvious she has a flair, as she has a lot of cute vignettes dotting her store. She has everything here, from scented candles and bath salts, and paints for your DIY projects, to rolling pins made in Lancaster by the Amish. These were particular favorites of mine, as I loved the visual texture of the wood grain in them. Having lived near the Amish, and visited them monthly, I can appreciate just how hard they work, their fine craftsmanship and the pride they take in their work. The Amish workmanship is beautiful, and will most definitely outlast me and Daughter. There's a variety of furniture there, from antique dressers and vanity tables, to a very sturdy farmhouse table and matching chairs. If you don't see something that that you want, just ask. They might have it in the back. While there, her coworker, Pam, dropped in to say hi.She was so nice, and I could tell that they were friends, too--- the kind that you want to sit down and have lunch or coffee with. They are located on Route 88 in Finleyville, conveniently across from DQ, and not far from Trax Farm.
