Got a hold of a receptionist one time and she stated I have to call the "main line" and wait until someone calls. I have been seeing Nurse Practitionar Mike T. for about a year. I have experienced nothing but professionalism and the utmost care and respect from him and his workers. With my condition, I experience ups and downs in life, as does everyone. However, I do not expect a therapy session with Mike because he is not a therapist He is a Nurse Practicioner who specializes in Psych med management. He made this clear from the first session. I would recommend him to all of my friends, family, and acquaintences. If you are in need of a therapist, I am sure he will recommend one to you. The staff here have literally turned my life around. I feel that my therapists and doctors here listen when i talk, and have an exceptional ability to let me not feel like i'm a guinea pig. therapy requires patience (haha), and its important to remember that it takes time. Years ago I was seeing a therapist multiple times a month, but now i've drastically reduced that and for the first time in my life am able to experience a sense of independence. read more

I have been seeing Mike for a little over a year. He's excellent at what he does. He is kind, professional and caring. He's helped me with tremendous anxiety and depression including some very serious panic attacks. If it wasn't for him I'm not sure that I could cope with life at all. I had been in a very low place for a long time. Gradually with medication and separate counseling I am emerging from that dark place and learning to enjoy life again. I see Julia Jordan for management of my meds. I can not find words that truly describe the difference she has made in my emotional well being. She is compassionate and listens. She really listens - values my input and we always come up with a treatment plan together. The office staff is equally nice at both locations and I am so thankful I have found an office and staff that truly care and have compassion. I've Been seeing mike T for almost 3 years. He still sends RXs to two different Walgreens despite me telling him the correct Walgreens for about 2 years. I have always had issues getting the correct dosage and even medication to treat my mental illness. I've suggested some of the drugs have had adverse side effects only to be told that im not feeling what I'm feeling. It's funny how each med affects people differently until you complain about it. Another grievance I have is the fact that I called to have an RX refilled and before I could even tell him what I needed he accused me of taking the narcotic he prescribed too quickly.. I had over half the bottle left, I just needed mood stabilizers. His response "oh ok I'll send it now" Never even mentioned the narco or an apology for assuming I was misusing the RX he gave me. Now, some issue with my insurance caused some sessions bills to be backdated leaving me with a 500 dollar bill. The administrative staff is equally careless. When I showed up for my appointment the front receptionist loudly explained my "huge bill" with a room full of patients. Terrible experience for someone with an anxiety disorder. I authorized a payment of 100 dollars I look at my account the next day to see serene minds helped themselves to 250 dollars. It took almost 2 weeks to get the funds back into my account. After calling and making two payments in two weeks (one $50 and one $100) the receptionist penny tells me I have to pay the full bill or mike t will not speak to me or refill my meds. I tired to explain I just made payments toward my balance and my daily meds that I was warned heavily to not abruptly stop taking we're running out. She didn't care. So here I am, bi-polar, two days without meds because serene minds won't a. See me to prescribe my necessary medications or b. Extend my current medications until I can pay off their bill in full. Which would take about another two weeks. Mind you, I didn't rack this bill up over time, it was due to an insurance change. For a place that is supposed to assist to those who are in need of help they show a great lack of compassion. read more

We are in the middle of a pandemic involving a respiratory droplet transmitted disease that is asymptomatic for the first 2 weeks of infection. (This is only deeply alarming in a deeply understood and real way if you have any meaningful medical education, or work in an ICU right now so if this doesn't register as *that* big a deal, don't worry. If you end up COVID-19 positive at some point, you will discover how alarming and insidious this really is). I had my first visit at this practice because, like many folks during this pandemic, I am having trouble sleeping, I am becoming depressed, my anxiety is increasing and now it is affecting my ability to think clearly and be productive. I am also struggling with physical pain from an injury that hasn't been managed well so if you have ever dealt with chronic pain, you know what *that* does to your mental well being too. I walk in and was greeted by a sweet natured, older woman who was wearing a mask correctly. As I was talking to her, another woman walked up and sat down at another computer behind her. Her mask was under her nose and she didn't seem to notice or care that her mask wasn't on properly (and reminder, this is a MEDICAL clinic). I waited for her to move her mask to correct position but after 3 clients had passed the desk in front of her, it was obvious she saw nothing wrong with the toddler defiant compromise of wearing her mask UNDER her nose. The person who would be working with me came out and took me back to the office. In case any of you are wondering, you won't see the actual doctor. He is there to sign off on prescriptions and make his money off the labor of the staff (psychiatric staff are typically the lowest paid medical professionals in the medical heirarchy). The person you WILL see is a "nurse practitioner" which roughly translates into over-educated nurse who has limited ability to prescribe medications but no actual training to make a legal diagnosis for pretty much anything, much less mental health issues. Many doctors use them in all fields (including your general practice doctor) to maximize their income because 4 nurse practitioners are approximately equal to his individual salary cost but they can see 4 times as many patients per hour, making his billing per hour 4x as profitable without ever having to see a single patient. Five minutes into the intake, her mask (which was precariously perched on the edge of her nose as if this were a secure fitting for a mask) moved down and was visibly below her nose. I stopped what I was saying (which ironically was describing my horror at another medical professional wearing his mask under his chin the entire time he was talking to me in the office) and asked her, politely, to pull the mask up over her nose correctly. The conversation continued and she put on her "readers" while working on the computer and the mask, again, slipped down and was sitting UNDER her nose with no sign of her making any effort to pull the mask up over her nose. I asked her a SECOND time to pull the mask up over her nose. She responded with a defensive, "I am trying but they fog up my glasses" ... (and she's a NURSE practitioner, not a medical secretary who is playing ignorant here). I reminded her that surgeons and doctors working hospitals wear glasses and must deal with the same issue, especially in situations where a surgery could take multiple hours. Everyone knows you put the mask UNDER the glasses or put a tissue along bridge of nose because not wearing a mask is not an option. She pulled her mask up and then switched tacts asking why I asked for an in person appointment when telemed was available if this was such a concern for me. YOU ARE A MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL WORKING IN A MEDICAL OFFICE. THERE IS NO POINT WHEN DELIBERATELY WEARING A MASK INCORRECTLY IN A CLOSED ROOM WITH A PATIENT OR CLIENT IS CONSIDERED RESPONSIBLE PRACTICE. For you folks in the back, this means that the onus of burden is not on YOU to stay home and avoid contact with everyone INCLUDING medical professionals who are SUPPOSED TO KNOW BETTER AND BE MORE RESPONSIBLE WHEN IT COMES TO PUBLIC HEALTH MATTERS AND PANDEMIC RISK REDUCTION. The burden is on them because if they are willing to be this careless and irresponsible about possibly infecting OTHER people during a pandemic, THEY should keep themselves quarantined at home around other people who also don't care or share every virus they come in contact with. If your medical practitioner isn't taking your health risk seriously during a pandemic, they are only in it for the money not your well being. Given that both of these irresponsible women were blonde, White, slender, similar in appearance and close in age, his hiring practice appears to be based on his dating preferences and not their competence. Absolutely worthless as a Dr. - the only purpose he serves is to write drug prescriptions. You'll pay for repeated visits in order to get your prescriptions refilled too. You pay for a full appointment, but he spends 15-20 minutes with you (after you wait forever in the waiting room) asking a list of generic questions that you could make up any answer you want to in order to get your prescription approved by him, it's not like he's really listening or analyzing you for any purpose other than to give drugs out. read more

I was going back and forth with their receptionist to schedule an intake appointment. I was told they did not take my insurance and she wrote back for me to find some IN NETWORK (no kidding she wrote it in all caps). Very unprofessional. She did not even offer to take me without insurance. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

My first visit was fine enough as far as visits go, I saw Dr Mike T. I told my story, shared my life, but something felt...off. I don't know if it was having another doctor come in on the visit and be read back what I was saying, like it was an interrogation or something. Or maybe it was being told WHAT I was feeling. Whatever the case I chalked it up to "they're the professionals". I was seeing Dr Mike for a little over a year and each visit was either just to refill my prescription or check up, the latter being more of a "everything good? Ok fine see me in 3 months". No real communication, the meetings continued on, getting shorter each time. One day I had a breakdown at work and needed to be seen to be cleared for safety reasons regarding operating machinery, I scheduled a visit and was greeted with a very disgruntled Dr Mike, more so than usual. After telling him what happened he then shrugged it off as no big deal, just a fight with the girlfriend (not at all the case), and that he wasn't here to listen to my problems or tell me how to fix things in my life, he just prescribes medication, but when someone is clearly in an unstable, scared, broken state with no clue how to go about fixing or helping themselves, the last thing they need is someone who is supposed to be there to help them yelling at them and shirking them to the side in a very disrespectful manner, I was floored to say the least. I got up and said "I am done, were done, thank you goodbye". I left a voicemail stating I would be ending my treatment with them, which I have every right to do so, and a few weeks later I received a letter stating I have been terminated as a patient for non compliance. Umm...what? I have been treated negatively by people who don't understand my illness enough, I do not need a professional who's job it is to help doing so as well. Find another place because this one will not understand or give you the help you, and all of us, desperately need. read more
