Communications with LaQuita and staff in the office to set up our first 2-month stay were great. They were so kind and helpful throughout our October and November stay. The assigned spot, 97, was large and drained well when raining, with ample room for both our big 5th wheel and dually truck. The park is quiet, well kept, and friendly. The voltage at our site was strong and stayed in the safe zone even during warmer days. We were so happy to see our Verizon signal was 5 bars of 5G for streaming. LaQuita suggested a great mobile RV repair guy to use when we had a couple needed repairs. There is a Camping World only a few hundred yards down the highway. The stay all went smooth. When it came time to leave, we rented one of the secured, covered and powered (to keep batteries charged) storage slots next door and backed our 5ver in it, protected till we come back again. As others have mentioned, it's a little pricey given the sites aren't full=service, but still a good value with the location and other amenities. Shower facilities were very clean. Only real negative is the that the majority of sites--especially lake front--are super not level, even though the website says they are all level. First time our automatic levelers wouldn't work. Had to use a total of 20 leveler blocks to get the back end of our 25' RV level. There are a few level spots, but you can't tell from the website. Quite misleading. We'll go back but only if we can get into one of the few level spots we found.

Fishing is easy right off the center platform and the little store has minnows, worms, etc... everything you need!! Rv spots have water and electric, & really large nice fire pits. Staff are very friendly and responsive. They have Taco Tuesday (taco truck) with several taco and burrito options ( tacos were very good!) and with purchase of a meal you get a free margarita! There are fully furnished cabins to rent, and they even have glamping tents with air conditioning! Cabins and glamping sites are kinda spendy, but with all the amenities available, the beautiful grounds and really nice and helpful staff, its a good value for sure!

We talked to the front office about it and they said they would call housekeeping and nothing.. none of the issues were fixed besides the coffee maker. We also ordered from the canteen and it was the slowest service I have ever experienced. The employees seemed completely lost and not sure how to run it. For the amount of money we spent, we expected a little more. Probably won't return and will go To camp Fimfo.

Our party arrived and EVERYONE at the park had their own snacks, food, drinks etc. So we paid $50 for pizzas for the party and one of the women in the cafe was kind enough to supply the drinks after i explained to her that i added the birthday package to the reservation and dont even know what i paid for because nothing about paying the extra amount made it a special birthday for my daughter. The bear appearance is included in the "birthday package" but there are only set times for the bear to appear and you have to gather your entire group to go to him. (i was told he would only be at the arcade and that's where we would have to go to see him) But then he appeared near by the cafe an hour & 1/2 later once almost all of our kids were gone :( The cafe told me they couldn't refrigerate our birthday cake, then said that they could. VERY VERY VERY TERRIBLE communication and so embarrassing for me with the other parents that attended. A couple of the other kids from school were considering having their birthday there and now ARE NOT. Ultimately, im just glad the kids were ages 5-7 to hopefully not notice the inconveniences and chaos, but it stuck with the parents. I will 1000% never book another party or even event here.

If you ever think about camping in Tyler, DO NOT say at Lions RV Park. The owners are rude, told us…read morewe would be in one of two spots (either right next to the private lake backed up to the woods or right next to the dog park, which would have been perfect for us). Instead we were parked less than 10 feet from the next camper and maybe 10 feet on the other side from a metal building. The view to the back was a parking lot to their storage buildings. When I mentioned this, I was told I should have planned better, so I could have been there earlier. (I told them what time we'd be there when i called to make reservations.) There was one picnic table to share between the campers next door and us. There are no fire pits or grills, and that dog park...there is a lake on one side and then two sides are fenced in with fencing that both my dogs could crawl through. We were told there was a fence in the back, but we couldn't see one. And did I mention that also happens to be where the septic sprinklers are, so it's wet and you could be caught by the sprinklers if you aren't quick enough to get out? Quiet hours start at 9 PM, but I guess there isn't really anything else to do outside after that anyway. Also, the rules given to us at arrival say that the dogs are not to bark. Am I suppose to put a muzzle on them to keep them from doing that? Oh, and another rule was that bicycles are not allowed. And when we arrived, the lady asked how I was going to pay, and I handed her a card. It was then that she told me they only accept cash or checks. Why didnt she tell me that when I called for reservations? And why doesn't it have any of this information on their website? I didnt have cash, so she told me I could just go to the bank to get some the next morning. (Ummmm....nope....we had to be at baseball 30 minutes away by 8:30.) Fortunately, I did have a checkbook with me. And even if I had gone to the bank to get cash, I wouldn't have been able to because she kept my ID. I called and called to try to get it back, but nobody would answer. She finally brought it back to my husband yesterday evening. Then she called me like it was my fault! As we packed up to leave this morning, the man owner came out to watch us and complained because we backed out rather than pulled through. There was no way our 44' camper was going to make the sharp turn to the exit without hitting anything. Backing out was simple because of the large parking lot behind us. The man had the nerve to say that we were lucky we didnt hit anything. We weren't even close to hitting anything! It was a very uncomfortable stay, and it is not a good place for a family. We felt like we were constantly watched and wouldn't even leave our dogs in the camper for fear they might bark and we'd get in trouble. So, you've been warned!
