Based on what she said, I understood that I'd only be paying for the $20 add-on plus a tip. However, when I went to check out, I was charged for the masks, bringing my total to about $70 -- essentially paying the full $140 value of the facial on top of the original cost of my gift card. I felt blindsided. If the masks were going to cost extra, that should have been clearly stated beforehand. It's not about the money so much as the principle the whole interaction felt disingenuous. I was actually planning on booking my next appointment before I left because I initially liked the aesthetician, but after this experience, I won't be returning. Transparency matters, and this just left a bad taste in my mouth.

I went through a traumatic experience shaving for them before every session (used to blood baths when shaving because I get severe hand spasms and cut myself instead). I really wish I had known this prior to booking but they are savvy saleswomen and want your $$$$. I feel misled and taken advantage of. I went back for my 6 month follow up to address these concerns and Dr. Khan insisted that "it looks great" even when i said there was no change visible, however i still have the same subcutaneous fat on my abdomen and did not fix the issue in the slightest. I also found it alarming that during my consultation I was told that I would have 70% of that fat removed, during the procedure it was changed to 50%, but the reality was that it was WAY less than that, another doctor i went to review this said that it had to have been only a 5% total reduction. Absolute waste of money for someone who has been struggling for years to get rid of that last bit of stubborn fat after weight loss. The deeper i looked, it seems like i am not the only one whose having this issue, ive seen comments on instagram and even here on yelp mention the exact same thing. Please look for another surgeon. One word of advice is to find a place where you are consulting with the doctor themselves instead of a nurse or representative. They demanded that we provide proof that we had actually received services there. We provided the requested proof. Regardless of what ultimately caused the rash, I expected the salon to take a customer's health and sanitation concerns seriously and respond professionally. The way our concerns were handled was extremely disappointing and made an already upsetting situation worse. Based on this experience, we will not return to this salon. I also intend to report my concerns to the appropriate health/licensing authorities so they can determine whether any sanitation or infection-control issues need to be investigated.
