Each individual sub contractor that was sent out to the house were absolutely the most friendly, respectful, punctual and skilled artisans in their craft. The electricians were super sweet and always punctual and efficient with their time. The painters were so nice and friendly and incredibly hard workers. They showed up early and literally worked non stop all day each day that they came. Pablo, the head carpenter and all of his guys were so talented and really worked hard to produce their best work! I'll admit I'm a very detailed oriented person to a fault and they really managed to exceed our expectations!! Unfortunately, my experience turned out to be frustrating and costly. From the start, we ran into issues -- the wrong shower pan was ordered, forcing a last-minute pivot to a tiled shower floor that I didn't want and which increased the total cost. Then, the shower door I had selected didn't fit, causing additional delays. The most serious issue, however, is the poor workmanship. The shower was not grouted properly. The step began separating while Sergio was still working on it, and it's now held together with caulk and a prayer. Grout on the shower floor continues to crack in multiple places. I've had to attempt repairs myself -- and I'm no expert -- but new cracks and gaps keep appearing after each use. Even further, the shower door groans loudly despite attempts to lubricate it. I reached out to Sergio to address these problems, but he didn't respond. Honestly, the communication had become so terse and uncomfortable that I didn't feel good about continuing the conversation. I've now had to take on a third job to pay for having this shower redone by someone more experienced.

The quote was within the range of what I was expecting for this type conversion. Joseph and his crew did an excellent job and gave me just what we wanted while making some great suggestions which were incorporated into the build. They took great care of containing the demo and construction dust, and had a cleaning person come at the end to clean the whole bathroom. All Roman does now is call me a fraud and a cheat! Of course he says that now after he took my $30k. He should stick to hanging Christmas lights since and not real contract work!
