I am 80 and needed hearing aids. A friend suggested them. I am very pleased with the doctor, the staff, and the hearing aids. They filled out the forms for my insurance and did a 2 week check up and will do another at 6 months,but made sure to tell me I could contact them as needed. read more

I can not be more grateful to the ladies in the office and also Victoria for going above and beyond for me to get my hearing aids back to working order. I was so dishearten as every place I called refused to try and help me but not Sertoma. Not only did they see me same day they did everything they could to get my hearing aides to work and I left their office like a brand new person. The ladies also in the front office have such a compassion for the patients coming in that it shows. I did not originally purchase my hearing aides here as I just moved to the area from out of state, but you can bet when I do I will definitely be coming here. Thank you again for everything. I am giving one star not because of our experience overall, but based on our appointment with Nicole Kreps today. She was so rude, condescending and extremely unprofessional in her responses. I brought my 83 year old mother to have her hearing aids checked and it was one bizarre rude comment after another. Our normal audiologist was booked so given my mother is deaf without her hearing aids, we couldn't wait. I highly encourage anyone going to Sertoma for services to use a different audiologist. read more

Sertoma specializes in Speech and Hearing needs. My involvement with Sertoma is in the realm of Speech Therapy so I will focus my review on that aspect. I cannot say enough about the staff at Sertoma--especially Michelle Morrison (who was the Lead Speech Pathologist at the time). She worked with my daughter for years and I consider to be something of a miracle worker. My daughter has regressive autism--meaning she developed typically until she started "losing" all her words at 18 months and, eventually, stopped speaking altogether. Michelle worked with her all through our "early intervention" phase and for a time after my daughter began receiving services through our local school district. My daughter, now nine, is not only verbal but astoundingly so. Something that I very much attribute to the hard work and amazing dedication of the Sertoma staff. Sertoma works very hard to service their community. They have sliding fee scales for those who need it and are flexible with their payment plans. Their main focus has always been servicing their clients versus receiving payments. If you are looking for dedicated professionals that truly care about their clientele Sertoma is the place you need. read more

The Golden Girls (front desk) make the experience here awful and awkward. They make sure to talk loud enough so everyone in the office can here your business. And when you have a discrepancy about something (normally because of how late they do things) they try to belittle you when you question them and make you pay. Seems like another business focused on lining their pockets than actually helping those in need. *Except the therapist. Good experience with her. Just the Golden Girls make it not worth the time.* read more

Hi, This place is horrible! I was treated unfairly and I believe it's because of my insurance. The lady behind the window closed the window every time the doctor went back there to discuss issues and opened up to see what the doctor conveyed to me. They didn't accept my referral as the doctor addressed it to different address in which they wanted me t pay $255 dollars for the service. I don't have that kind of money - jeez. I was discriminated upon and I feel horrible. read more

Been coming to Sertoma's Palos Hills office for over 6 years and have had nothing but positive experiences with them, particularly when I've had issues with my hearing aids. Dr. Wardzala is the best. read more

The actual doctors inside are very nice but the receptionist is very rude and cold. Every time we come here she gives us dirty looks when my child starts wandering around even though he doesn't make any noise. She makes me extremely uncomfortable. I see children here all the time and if she's going to be such a bitch towards the parent and/or child, I suggest she find a job elsewhere. Perhaps teaching her how to smile would work too. read more

I took my son to Sertoma today for a hearing exam. Right from the start Dr. Nicole Kreps was rude. She was rude to us in the hallway walking from the waiting room to the exam room. My son doesn't speak yet and is a little hyper active. When we walked into the exam room Dr. Kreps began scolding my son for touching the computer keyboard and started the visit off on a negative note. My son has sensory issues and doesn't like when his head is touched and began crying during the exam. Instead of showing any kind of experience or professionalism Dr. Kreps just kept telling my son quiet down or you will have to leave and your mom will have to return with you at another time. He is 3, he is not going to understand that. If this is a professional with training, is there nothing else she could have done besides speak to him in a harsh tone? I asked her has she never had a child cry during this exam and she her response was no, which I find hard to believe and as a mom worried about her child and his behavior made me upset. I tried soothing my son then I tried redirecting his behavior and she then said his crying and the noise we were making is disrupting the other patients and kicked us out. I would not recommend Sertoma, especially for children or children with special needs, they will not accommodate you. The treatment I received from Nicole Kreps was deplorable. As a concerned parent I'm trying to find out if there is a problem with my son's hearing to try to get him help as soon as possible because as medical professionals would know that the sooner any issues concerned with hearing get resolved the better for the child's development and Sertoma's concern is that my son is making too much noise and disrupting the other patients instead of finding a way to test him and their only resolution is to keep sending me away and having me return at another time for another exam. This was my second attempt! Is this more of a scam to continue charging for visits? Are they waiting for him to outgrow crying? I will definitely be going someplace else, but now this only means that I will have to wait for another appointment date someplace else and more time where I am in limbo in regards to my son and whether or not he is getting the help he needs. And if he does need assistance with his hearing, Sertoma has wasted our time in getting him that help as soon as possible. Don't waste your time. Update* they responded saying they'd be happy to discuss this with me, yet when I called to discuss if they said they would call me back and no one ever did. read more
