Side salad not on menu with their own house dressing.
Penny S.

Delicious, authentic Peruvian food! Our server was friendly, personable and very attentive. She had good recommendations and explanations of dishes. I went went for the classic Aji de Gallina, with chicken. It has a creamy yellow sauce with chicken & some bell peppers, etc. It came with rice. I felt the need for a salad so I requested a side salad, which wasn't listed on the menu. They were happy to accommodate. My husband enjoyed their 1/4 chicken (breast) which came with fries and a side salad, and included a spicy sauce and the yellow one like was on mine. The prices were reasonable and ambiance pleasant and relaxing. We would definitely come back next time we go to Sun Valley.

Lomo saltado and Ceviche

No need to get too crazy here. Stick with the Peruvian bread and butter meals and you will be beyond satisfied. Lomo Saltado and Mixed Ceviche are must haves. We plan to hit this spot for many years to come while visiting each winter. The restaurant seating is very open, but maintains a low-lit and intimate feeling at each booth. An ideal day in Sun Valley consists of the following: Corduroy all day on Greyhawk, a nice dinner at Serva, and some quality hot tub time watching the SnowCats doing what they do best.

A nice courtyard to dine outside, a Nasca line depiction on the interior, overall, it's nice and intimate. Having been to Peru and frequented many a Peruvian restaurant in Los Angeles and New York I had high hopes on the food, especially after seeing Peruvian patron after Peruvian patron come in for lunch and noticing all the employees were also Peruvian. A bit pretentious in the presentation, high prices for a typical Peruvian restaurant, but the food was quite delicious and could hold its own with some of the better places in the big cities. Leche del Tigre was well balanced, but not as spicy as we would have liked. The plantain chips were nice, but needed salt. The Lomo Saltado was delicious, especially with the aji. We wished there was more sauce, but the rice was a fail...undercooked and underseasoned. The beef cut was better than the typical and very tender. The lamb chops were succulent, deliciously seasoned and ample in quantity. The papa's huacainas were equally as good. Portions are generous, flavor profiles are on point, and the service was attentive. We will be back.

Service was friendly and quick. We sat outside during some nice weather. Food was ok. Kind of bland and just meh. Enjoyed the yucca fries. Had the fried rice dish with chicken. Standard fried rice. Nothing special. They used the same sauce for many of their dishes. Same sauce as we used for our fries.

Causa with shrimp

Sooo happy to see a Peruvian restaurant in Ketchum. Real Peruvian. Delicious food, friendly attentive service and welcoming atmosphere. I love causas and there's was fabulous (I had mine with shrimp in it). Great ceviches too. Beautiful presentation on the dishes we had. Highly recommend!

Arroz Chaufa with Extra Veggies

Holy smokes. The food was fantastic. Excellent service. Warm owners. What we ordered - Lemonade Fettuccine a la Hauncaina con Lomo Saltado - Beautifully creamy and savory. Arroz Chaufa with Extra Veggies - Basic fried rice. We would order it all again!

Serva causa - a very tasty combo!

We loved the flavors of Serva. Not being sure what to order, we went with a variety and couldn't stop eating because everything was so delicious. However, we had leftovers and then ate them for breakfast and lunch the next day. We've been to a number of Peruvian restaurants (including in Peru) and this is amongst the best! We sat inside, but outside seemed to have a better ambiance (though will be better once Main St construction is completed, I'm sure!).

2 appetizers: Basically veggie rolls and "dry steak fries"

I'm sitting here at the table writing this. Now, I admit, we were part of an absolutely enormous group - probably 30+ people. That said, hearing what the server just told my fiancée is BEYOND unacceptable. She was asking about something on the menu, and literally told my fiancée she couldn't have an item prepared the way it is actually described on the menu. "If there weren't so many people I could be more accommodating" No special adjustments at all. Just not serving it the way it's written. Unbelievable. The first time she came over to take our order, she literally started talking and walked away and we didn't see her again for 10+ minutes. There is ABSOLUTELY no excuse for the level of rudeness experienced here, I don't care if it's a group of 300. If you can't accommodate, don't take the reservation. This might well be the best meal I've ever eaten in my life, but this is still a solid 1* review. If I wasn't part of this group, I'd walk out. I'm disgusted. Update: not the best meal ever. From my fiancée: "I'm paying a lot for this, so I'm eating it. If I made it at home, I wouldn't." (Basically she had 2 appetizers, which were effectively veggie rolls and "dry steak fries" - the veggie rolls were the better of the two but neither very good). I had the fettuccini and it was fairly good.

This seems to be a local's spot for sure. Majority of the employees and guests were Spanish speaking, and that's always a good sign of a Peruvian restaurant! We stopped in for a quick snack, and ordered the Ceviche Mixto and the Yuquitas Fritas. I also ordered their Sour drink. Everything was delicious, and we felt satisfied and healthy afterwards. I would love to come back and enjoy their entrees another time. The ambiance felt like a warm, local ethnic restaurant with tons of families having a great time.

Quarter chicken meal

Our group came here on impulse, and I wish we had more time in Ketchum so we could eat here again! It smelled delicious as soon as we walked in and you could quickly identify where the yummy smells were coming from--the big case of rotisserie chickens cooking within view of the entrance! We tried the chicken rolls to start--simple and tasty. Then on to the quarter chicken (dark meat for me) which tasted as good as it smelled. The dining space is brightly decorated, and the service was friendly. I don't know when I'll be back in Ketchum, so I hope others will visit here on my behalf!

We were here for a weekend of snowboarding and decided to try Serva! It was seriously so good! My boyfriend wouldn't stop talking about it and he's a really good cook!

Best food in Sun Valley hands down. If you never been at this place you are missing the most delicious food, prepared and served the same as you are in fined dining. Only regret is we haven't found it the first day of our stay!!!

The food and service were very reasonable and met my expectation. Their wine by the bottle was a plus, with good selections to choose from.

Service was poor and food matched. My visit was a long time ago so maybe they improved both. I would not visit them again.

Totally unassuming place. But don't let that fool you. Service was perfect from start to finish…read more All smiles and welcoming. We sat out back on the large patio area in the early evening with the sun still bearing down (early July), and the server voluntarily moved an additional umbrella over to block it. Orders were timely, but they weren't terribly busy. Wife got the grilled octopus, and oh man, was it ridiculous. Got the whole critter, not just a few tentacles. Perfectly cooked, flavorful, with an assortment of grilled veggies supporting the presentation. I got the seafood soup and will say it's the best I've ever had. Ample mussels, solid shrimp, good hunk of fish, and the lime in the broth takes it over the top. We had no room for dessert, but the options looked amazing. They DO serve wine though the internets say they don't. And it's a good selection. Be sure to get a Peruvian beer! My wife did and loved it. You have to check this place out.

It was alright. My ceviche was bugger than most places lately. They told me the fish was red…read moresnapper so that was a slight pleasant surprise. My daughter got a kids pasta which was just some small ate of spaghetti. But overall it was good food. Service on the other hand wasn't that it was bad but I felt the server acted as if we were being a nuisance. I wousl talk spa jsh and she'd answer in soanish but always come back in English. We got like 1 min to look at menu before she was ready to take order. Asked for 2 more minutes and seemed irked at my request. The one of our cups was dirty as well. Service wasn't so bad outside of the wanting to get our order in super quick (and we were the only ones there). But at least good was a over average
