    I contacted Coleman's since I'm having issues with a recently installed, brand new water heater…read morepurchased from and installed by another company. Truthfully, I feel taken advantage of by that company, like they just wanted to make a sale, neglecting to properly inspect and diagnose my prior unit. The issues I was having previously have returned. I'm very frustrated and don't want to deal with them again. I should have known better when the responding tech took less than 5 minutes to mutter, "This heater is bad. This is not a good brand," despite my previous heater being only 4 years old. I contacted Coleman's A/C Heating & Appliance Repair seeking a professional who would listen carefully to the issues I'm describing and offer sound advice/solutions on how to proceed. I expected to hear back from Coleman's within a day or two. But my inquiry was responded to quickly. The technician was friendly, listened, and we discussed what could be done to get my hot water going again. It was suggested I contact the company that performed the install since I'm still under warranty. But it was such a negative experience with an inattentive, apathetic tech that I'd rather cut my losses and allow Coleman's to care for my unit. I will follow Coleman's advice. But at the first sign of indifference or rudeness by that other company, I'll call Coleman's out to fix my heater.

They were very professional and the communication was excellent. The unit was installed quickly and works wonderfully well. Their estimate was below other businesses in the area and I felt that they, being a family owned business, were more invested in providing exemplary service. Which proved correct. They supplied some extras and explained operation and maintenance as well as the warranty. I highly recommend this business for anyone seeking trustworthy, reasonable, and professional service.

    Our unit stopped working in the hottest time of the year. We were worried how long it would take to…read moreget someone here. I called Reed's not knowing much about them. A tech came out the same day we called, identified the problem (needed a new fan motor, I think. I'm not great at mechanics). This was late on Wednesday. By Thursday morning they had ordered the part which arrived Friday morning. They set a time for 3 pm. The tech called earlier today to ask if he could come before 3. Thrilled to have some AC back. Charged less than we were expecting. Asked If we wanted to sign up for a year's service contract, which seemed a little high until we saw all the discounts and perks, such as 20 percent off instead of the 10 percent fee that we've been offered other times from different companies; no extra fee for emergency calls; and several others that we had not typical seen when using other companies. The woman who answers the phone is very helpful, friendly, and polite; the owner really knows his stuff and will go through everything with you; and the tech was early, quick, and polite. This is the first review I've written in nearly a year. We're very happy with them.

Either they're performing HVAC miracles... or someone's got a heavy hand on the delete key. Here's my experience: I got home after a week of travel to find my AC completely off. I checked the basics -- thermostat battery, breakers, etc. -- but no luck. I called around, and Reed was the only company that had time to come out. At the time, I was relieved. Now... I have an idea why they had availability. The so-called technician arrived and diagnosed the issue as a bad coil -- said it needed replacing for $280. Not great, but I figured okay, let's get it fixed. Then he went out to inspect the outside unit, called me over, and showed me some exposed wires. "Actually," he says, "it's not the coil -- the short happened here." I thought, well, maybe that's a good thing -- wires have to be cheaper than a coil, right? Nope. "That'll be $280 to fix." Funny coincidence -- same exact price as the original issue. I raised an eyebrow and said, "You've got to be kidding me." suddenly, without hesitation $180. Impressive how fast that price dropped $100. So, I said, it's hot and I'll have air. I said sure, go ahead and fix the wires. Twenty minutes later, he's back with a plot twist: "Actually, the short damaged your air compressor and is shot. He begins to explain that the unit should be under warranty and if I knew the owners name that had it installed, I could get it fixed for about $2,200 if it's under warranty, $5,000+ if it's not." At that point, I felt like I was in an episode of HVAC: The Upsell Chronicles. Not entirely convinced, I brought in another company for a second opinion. Guess what? The only issue was the wiring. Compressor? Totally fine. They not only fixed the wiring but gave me a complete inspection all for the low price of $195. No drama, no doom, no five-grand surprises. Moral of the story: If you're in or around Vicksburg, MS and you're having electrical issues AC/Heater "DO NOT CALL REED" Call: Martin Air Conditioning & Elect. You will be glad you did. Unfortunately, the installers left us with a gas leak that ran our monthly bill up to $300 for January. We didn't find out about the leak until two weeks later when questioning the bill and the gas company showed up to assess. After CK fixed the leak, we tried to get CK to reimburse us for the high bill and they ghosted us. Pretty poor customer service to ignore us.

I felt compelled to write this review to help others. No system or company is perfect. Professionals make mistakes. Now, Im the caregiver for my 87 year old dad who has dementia. I take turns with my sister staying at his home for a week at a time. He lives in a rural area and my sister and I both work full time and use caregivers during the day. My dad's AC went out two weeks ago. He has a very old Carrier system. I called American Home Shield which he's had a policy for 2 years. I paid the $125 service fee plus of course the monthly amount. They identified Climate King. I called and they schedujed me for a week out. I asked if they had anything sooner due my father's condition. Moreover, the caregivers would be uncomfortable. Mine you, there were heat advisories. So, we braved it out and Climate King sent Justin Wilson. I was at work and asked him to call me upon arrival. Hecdid and said the system was operating as it should and he checked everything including the fan, motor, compressor, fuse box, etc. He assured me everything was ok. I told him the system was inconsistent in that it would get very cold and then not cool after a day. He said it must be the thermostat so he put in a new one. I told him my dad's 97 year old sister was going to be coming in from Memphis and that I needed to be sure it would be cool. He said it would. I said if not, can I call you. He said I'd have to call American Home Sheid to get a recall. That night when I arrived home, it was 91 degrees in the house. I called American Home Shield and they issued a recall to Clumate King. Climate King said they could not come until the fliwing week because they were only in the area once a week. I explained to the young lady that I could not wait that long. I called American Home Shield back to ask if I could use a vendor that I know could come. They said I had to wait 4 hours and if they could find someone, I would have to get pre authorizaction to use a vendor not in their list. They found someone who could come in 48 hours. Still unacceptable. I ended up calling Russell Refigeration in Clinton. They sent someone out same day and the tech found the problem immediately. The motor in the fan was weak and the unit was very hot. He said we didn't need a new thermostat. We needed a motor for the fan. Due to my fathers situation and we had already spent $125 they only charged me for labor and parts. Not a service fee. I'm sitting in a 72 degree cool home. I'm canceling American Home Shield. I'm disappointed in Climate King. Justin was professional and thorough. He missed the fan issue and since the AC still didn't work, I thought they should have worked something out to come back sooner. I understand why some reputable companies do not sign on with American Home Shield. Russell is now our choice. We worked out a maintenance plan with them and considering upgrading our system. They are giving us an estimate. The tech they sent was very knowledge and experienced. He knew what was going on right away and didn't leave until he felt the air cooling after instling the motor. Lessons learned- read reviews on the home warranty company and the vendor. They both had very negative reviews. I missed that you can't select your own vendor but I see why. I actually have Climate King a good review roght after Justin left and I received the link fthe review. Lesson learned again-- wait until it works and if they are willing to come back sooner and make it right. We are in MS in the worst heat. Where is the compassion and empathy for our elderly. I was willing to spend more money out of my pocket to take care of my dad and his caregivers. Thanks to Russell Refrigeration in Clinton I could. You can't beat hometown local service where they card and make you a priority. I hope this review can help others.
