Home Heating is the clown car of customer service you've been searching for. I'm a disabled vet. I didn't ask for a mansion. I didn't ask for gold-plated vents. I asked for a repair. A simple, honest fix for my A/C during a brutal summer. But these vultures saw an opportunity to upsell me into a $11,000 furnace and A/C replacement instead. Because nothing says "thank you for your service" like trying to fleece someone barely holding it together in 90-degree heat. Enter Joe Ludwig, the human equivalent of a shrug in a cheap polo shirt. His role? Apparently, to act like I'm crazy for not kissing their boots while they slow-walked my suffering. Snippy tone? Check. Condescension? You bet. Gaslighting? Like he read the manual and annotated it himself. And when I pushed back? "You're imagining it." Oh, am I? They had the audacity, the unfiltered gall, to tell me they were "doing me a favor." A favor that never actually happened. A favor that cost zero repairs, zero installs, and two months of literal misery. If that's a favor, then mugging someone and complimenting their wallet is customer appreciation. Here's the truth: this is what happens when big companies get drunk on their own importance. They forget the customer, they forget the job, and they definitely forget their dignity. Want HVAC work? Hire an independent tech who doesn't think you're just a walking invoice. Home Heating didn't just fail, they humiliated themselves. I wouldn't let them install a fan in a dollhouse.

Upon move in, the carpets were…read morestill dirty and full of cat hair- the cat hair was the main reason we requested a carpet cleaning. There was actual no indication that our carpets had been cleaned at all, but I've got to assume they at least showed up. Their invoices say "satisfaction guaranteed", but that's certainly not our experience. We ended up hiring a different company who came in and did a good job of cleaning the carpets- including removing all the cat hair. K&S did nothing to make up for doing an extremely poor job and were actually quite rude about it in fact. If you hire them know that poor quality work is a real possibility, and if the work is poor they won't stand behind any satisfaction guarantee and they won't treat you with respect. They've been around a long time, have grown considerably, but no longer seem to care about the quality of their work.

We contacted K&S Carpet Cleaners & Restoration to have them do the carpets. The workers arrived on time, were extremely polite, did the cleaning quickly and did a wonderful job. I received a curtesy call from the company a few days later asking if I was pleased with the job that had been done or if there were any issues. I told the lady I was happy and all was well except the one spot that they had taken out when dry was still there, although it was way smaller than it had been. She said she would send them out to redo it, sometimes as the carpet dries a stubborn spot may need to be redone. I was surprised that they would offer to come back and redo this at no charge! Wonderful company, polite and respectful in the office as well as the gentlemen that cleaned my carpets. I could not be happier and will certainly use this company again in the future.
