I used a coat hanger to pull it ouT grabbing the head of it from the hole In The ceiling. You could've burned down their house by starting and electrical fire or ripped the electric cables out of the breaker. I immediately noticed I was being charged for services they did not perform. They did take off a small amount from my bill but not what I believe they billed me for on the original bill. They also charged me for more equipment than what they used at my home and was told false information by their estimator. The reason they gave me for my bill being so inaccurate was because they had so many jobs going on. Really?? After many phone conversations I was told no further adjustments would be made to my bill. My husband took time off work as he works an hour away. Unfortunately, no technician arrived. The next morning, he called and was assured that someone would be there at 4pm that day. He took additional time off work. He called at 4:30, he was told we were the next stop after the technician finished the current job. Again, no one showed up. He contacted a competitor who was able to schedule us for the next day with an exact appointment time. One thing that stood out was that every time he called, he spoke with a different person. I'm not sure what is happening with the dispatch/office processes, but the service seemed disorganized with no regard to customer service or managing expectation.

(A little side note here, I can't stand when you tell someone that you just want an estimate and when they give you one, and you say, "I'm gonna call around and get some more, thank you" they go on the defensive and start bashing every other company in town. To me, that's just childish; tell me what sets you apart from other companies in the area and be dignified about it.) Ok, back on point now... I called A-1 a little past 10:00pm and the man I spoke to (I wish I remembered his name because he was great) gave me an estimate and explained what he thought might be the issue. He answered all my questions and said he could have someone out at 8:15am the next morning. I was surprised because the last place couldn't even get me in the next day. Morning came and Tyler from A-1 showed up on time, assessed the situation and within 5 minutes, was laying down drop cloth and rolling in his machine. About an hour later, he was done and now everything drains correctly. The best part, the price I was quoted, was the price I paid! I won't give specifics, but let's say it was probably a little less than half of what I would've paid with Roto-Rooter. Bottom line, a great local company that knows how to talk to customers on the phone, show up on time, and get the job done at the price that was quoted.

Gave Travis a run down of what the issues were, general thoughts and what had been done already and minutes later Travis and Terry had everything hooked up, rolled out a towel and got to work. Job was done, in and out, less than an hour. Fast, knowledgeable and friendly service. They took the time to explain what was really going on and talked us through as they worked. Turned out the issue was far less severe than I anticipated. I would definitely recommend them if you are looking for a good honest local company. Cost of service and time required was exactly as quoted by their receptionist.
