Uga and Painting Plus can not come more highly recommended. They did an outstanding job on a very difficult project. The entire crew was professional and highly experienced. In addition to great painting and staining, the carpentry work that they were able to do really set them apart from a lot of fly by night or inexperienced painters. They took care of even the smallest details and made sure everything was perfect. I feel like I am living in a new house. The showed up every day and worked full days until the project was done unlike other painters that constantly seem to be juggling several jobs. We had another amazing experience with Services Plus recently. The painting and carpentry work on our front deck was top notch but their main focus was on a gorgeous, large pergola with a sky poly roof over our side deck. Uga went above and beyond again, once even rearranging his day to bring samples of stained wood over to prevent us from making a terrible color choice. The entire crew was so nice and respectful. And, we felt their price was very reasonable. I cannot recommend them enough. read more

Beware! First day they show up to paint, they taped off windows for spraying. No scraping or caulking was one done. They sprayed first coat the first day. I pointed out need to scrape and caulk, so they did some after first coat. After "finishing" the job it was apparent that around the window frames had not been scraped or caulked. The site manager did some cursory prep and repaint on a few spots and said they would be back. Never been back. Countless emails, sending in pictures they requested, no one has ever showed up again. The 3-year warranty period is now past. I have been more than patient. I doubt they will ever address the deficiencies. I do not recommend this company. read more

It was good experience from the start. The Rep (Phil) arrived on time to discuss my project and took notes of areas I wanted attention. Later that day I got a quote with clear breakdown of work to perform, photos marked with where and what would be done, and pricing. The brochure he left had references, licenses, insurance, etc., which was very reassuring and professional. The Field Manager (David) was courteous and professional. He was on site from start to finish. As there was additional carpentry work beyond the original quote, he and Uga explained clearly why and what was required and gave me a quote with good description and photos for the additional work. And I like it that Rafaela (Operations Manager) was able to give me an update daily on the progress via email so I would know what to expect the following day. It turned out to be a big project but work progressed smoothly and quickly. The overall workmanship was great and is to my satisfaction, and my house look so good now. This is a follow-up to my previous post of August 11. To re-cap, Services Plus painted the exterior of our house in April and the project completed in early May. The house exterior looked great, but I found that the crew had not protected the foundation plants and light fixtures with plastic film as specified in the contract. As a result, paint splatter was visible on 8 rhododendrons, on two light fixtures (a walkway light and a flood light), and one electrical outlet cover. In addition, a walkway light was broken at the base of its post, possibly due to being pushed over by a ladder or a worker stepping over it. I brought all these to the Operation Manager's attention. She promised that these would be fixed, but by August (4 months after the project completed), she no longer answered my emails and phone calls asking for an update. After posting about my experience in August, the owner Uga suggested I call them, which I did. The Operations Manager then told me that two light fixtures were ordered, to replace the one that was broken and one that had paint splatter. She said that a gardener would come and take care of the splattered plants. I asked what would be done about the remaining splattered light fixture and electrical outlet box, and she never answered. It is now November, and still nothing has been done. No light fixture replacement that was promised, no gardener showed up. The Operations Manager did not return my emails. Nor did Uga, the owner respond to my messages left with the company operator and contact via Yelp messaging. For whatever reason, they decided to ghost me again. This is very frustrating and unacceptable, and that is why I am rating them at 1 star. read more

The entire process (coming over to assess and provide quote, scheduling, and doing the work itself) went very smoothly, and they did an amazing job replacing rotted fascia, painting soffits, and taking care of some custom interior carpentry. In our estimate we were told that our paint job would likely take two days and originally, we had made plans for my mother to be present at our home while the work was being done as to not interfere with our work schedule. Unfortunately, due to some medical issues with my father the previous weekend, my mother was not able to be present, and my husband and I made last minute arrangements to be available for Monday and Tuesday. On Monday, the painters finished around 3pm and asked me to do a walk through. I verbalized that everything was still wet and that it was difficult to see the quality, but I was still able to point out some areas that I was not pleased with. The project manager discussed that if I continued to not be pleased in the morning when it was dry, they would come back the following day to fix anything. I was asked for payment, which by my own mistake, I provided a check for the full amount. That evening, as the paint dried, my husband wrote an email to the company to alert them of our dissatisfaction and that they should come back the following day to complete the job. The next morning, he received email correspondence back and forth and had to send pictures of the job. The original check was cancelled so that they could not receive payment until the job was complete. At 11am he was told that someone would be at the house within an hour to complete the job. At 2:15, 3 hours and 15 minutes later, one painter came back and assessed the quality of the job. Using a translator app, he told my husband that it was too much work for one person and that they would have to come back with more crew the following week. I then called the office to discuss that there is no reason that we should be inconvenienced further and have to leave our house in disarray with our belongings displaced for a week just to have our paint job completed. We had written in about our dissatisfaction the previous night and our job should have been prioritized and a crew should have been present that morning to complete. I was put on hold for 3 minutes and when Chloe returned, I was told that it was a miscommunication and that the painter left to get more crew and will be returning, if they are not already on their way. I was also told on the phone that there was another job that was time sensitive and took priority. Chloe was extremely condescending and rude, and I did not at any time feel like a respected customer. I don't understand how the fact that both my husband and I rearranged our schedules for Monday and Tuesday doesn't make our job "time sensitive" and a priority as well. At 3:30 my husband called the office to confirm if the crew was in fact coming back and he was assured they were. At 4:10, ONE painter, the same who had arrived at 2:15, came back ALONE and he worked alone until 6:00 pm. What I don't understand is how a company can be so insensitive to the customer and outright verbalize that they had a more important job to complete. They also lied multiple times saying at 11am a painter would be there within an hour, and that when the one painter left, he went to get more crew. Ultimately, the job was completed well, but there is no reason that we, the customer, should have had to intervene with multiple emails and calls and demand to get workers back on site to finish a job that was not initially done well. Customer service is certainly not a strong point for this company. After all was said and done, no one reached out to us to ensure that it was completed to a standard or up to our satisfaction. I'm extremely disappointed with the service and will not be using or recommending this company to my friends/neighbors in the future. read more

Our 4000 sf Home exterior, shed and decks look absolutely fabulous! Painters Plus does not take payment until the job is done and accepted. Wow! We interviewed a number of painters who strung us along and eventually said they couldn't do it this year, but first thing in 2018. Frustrated, I called Painters Plus. An excellent experience with Services Plus from first to last. They combine the efficiency of a bigger operation with the responsiveness and quality control of a small crew or a single painter. They did a lot of carpentry and repair for us as well as painting. They did everything well, and on the one or two occasions where I had questions or concerns, they responded immediately and satisfactorily. Our crew chief, Douglas, was great, as was Gleydson, who came to provide the estimate and Chloe with whom I corresponded by email. We selected Services Plus to paint the outside of our home after getting quotes from 3 other companies. What stood out was the outstanding customer service from day one, detailed proposal/scope, and wide selection of services they could provide. Our project included the replacement of some trim and clapboard as well as new shutters, it was terrific having all of that work managed and completed by one crew. Phil came out for the initial estimate and then graciously passed us over to Mat who was our operations manager for the project. Prior to starting we were able to get some paint samples to try on the house to see what color we liked best, this was very helpful in the process. There was constant communication throughout between myself, Mat and Ivomar who was the field manager. He and his crew of 2 were great to work with and despite one rain day they were able to complete the project in a week. At the final walk through with the Project Manager and Ivomar, there were 2 tiny items to be addressed and they took care of it on the spot which was most appreciated. The house looks amazing! As a quick summary, I would not recommend hiring or using Painter's Plus of Holliston MA for any paint projects as their workmanship, preparation, thoroughness and most importantly commitment to quality, is simply unacceptable. A little background - I am a licensed building contractor and woodworker with 30 plus years of experience. During that period, I have hired, contracted and engaged with a variety of tradesman/craftsman and have been very satisfied with the project outcome and especially their workmanship. Last year I contracted with Painter's Plus to prep and paint the exterior of my home. Below is a lengthy recap of that project and my dealings Uga Defreitas, CEO of Painter's Plus. I highly recommend you read the full recap prior to engaging with Painter's Plus: Work was scheduled to start on Oct 8, 2016 however Painter's Plus was late and finally arrived the week of November 7th. Our contract called for surface preparation along with 2 coats of stain/paint on both clapboards and trim. Very simple, very straightforward. Day #1: A crew of 2 arrived early and I discussed and reviewed the job with that crew. Day #2: At approximately 2:00 pm I received a call that the project was complete and ready for a walk through. Although surprised, I had not seen the size of the crew for that particular day and agreed to a walkthrough and payment on Saturday November 12 (fairly standard). Saturday morning, I met Anthony from Painter's Plus. As we performed the walkthrough, I observed many areas that had either been missed, insufficiently coated or displayed poor surface preparation. Areas that required sanding were not. I questioned Anthony on the lack of prep and especially the lack of paint/stain as all the new trim and clapboards appeared to have received only a single 'heavy' coat as opposed to the agreed upon 2 coats. I was very disappointed in the quality of their work so Anthony immediately contacted Uga Defreitas, CEO of Painter's Plus via cell phone. Uga and Anthony agreed that they would rectify the situation and guaranteed that Painter's Plus would add another coat of paint/stain to the entire house. The resolution was agreeable and I made payment to Anthony in full. What a mistake! A few days later Painter's Plus contacted me and requested that I meet with their CEO Uga Defreitas. Uga wished to review and discuss alternate resolutions as they were no longer willing to repaint the house. I was very upset but met with Uga and reviewed the poor workmanship. Uga refused to accept responsibility and continuously claimed that it was the stain/paint however the areas where I had previously applied a single coat looked good. It was evident that Painters Plus never applied 2 coats and the job looks awful. Uga became frustrated when I began to question his lack of commitment and quality. He adamantly stated that he never agreed, and would never add another coat of paint nor stain to the entire house. He stated that I should take him to court. Well he certainly did not meet my expectations and I find him to be one of the most dishonest and reprehensible people I have dealt with. After further discussions, we agreed that Painter's Plus would perform the following: 1. Add another coat of stain to the 'entire' back and right side of my house. 2. Repaint the complete rear portico (trim only) as the amount of paint on the portico trim was truly insufficient. 3. Repair all trim areas that were deficient (paint runs, visible primer from lack of paint). 4. Add additional paint to any area on the front or other side trim that was insufficiently coated especially the trim around my new front door. 5. He offered to paint my foundation as a peace offering as it was previously painted but not part of our contract. A few days later, another crew was dispatched. Shortly thereafter I received a call from Anthony informing me that the new project resolution was complete. The following day, I reviewed the work and found the following: 1. None of the clapboards on the rear and side of the house had received any additional stain. 2. None of the rear portico trim had received additional paint. 3. None of the trim areas were repaired as the paint runs and primer where still visible. 4. None of the areas on the front, side, or front door trim received additional paint (primer still visible). 5. They painted about three quarters of my foundation but never power washed. Yes, they painted right over dirt! Once again, Painter's Plus failed to complete the project and made false claims that it was done. When I brought this to Uga's attention, again he back peddled by now offering to only 'spot paint' the areas that 'he' deemed to be of issue. Since we all know spot painting is another useless effort which results in further subpar workmanship, I declined Uga's offer and will hire a reputable painter to rectify his deficiencies.
