do not ever use this company. they rob people off. paid online for servicing my car oil change £100 for a £12 oil filter, extra £30 for adding oil not changing it because they asked £100 for changing the oil. i used to do my car services with them for 4 years 5 different cars. not anymore. most rubbish garage i have ever met. in total paid £130 for an oil gilter, collection and delivery and add a bit of new oil to the car. hope they go busted. read more

Save first, overpay later Wouldn't recommend using them unless you know your car stuff or want to be a mug like me... I booked an MOT and interim service. The car was picked up as arranged and a few hours later I received a link to the report for the interim service (a list of checked items that were done during the service). A short time later, this was followed by a phone call by one of the service reps from Servicing Stop. In the call I was told that there wasn't anything major, that my MOT had only failed because of one light bulb (a bulb that, I was told, "doesn't do anything much other than fail you on your MOT", which we both laughed about) but that obviously I would need to have that fixed* and surely I wouldn't want to pay for the MOT again (I did not). I was then told that there were a few suggested works and since I knew I wouldn't understand the details just asked for the total, which I understood to be about £65 (which may sound low but fit the overall tone of the conversation which was "nothing much to do"). I agreed to that. Imagine my surprise when a few hours later I received my final invoice which wasn't for £65 or even £650 pounds ... but for £790! (*Since then, I looked up the MOT on the official government website and was again surprised that no failed MOT was logged, nothing about a tiny bulb, just a passed MOT with advisories that seem to be in no relation to the work allegedly needed or recommended.) Looking at the details on the invoice I realised all the optional works (beyond the alleged MOT fail and service advisories) were not only majorly overpriced (roughly £400 for items included in a major service by other companies that charge £220 for the entire service!), but apart from the amount I certainly hadn't been told that it was WITHOUT VAT. And of course, looking at the whole business model, it makes sense to try and coax money out of you once the car is at one of their garages: The garage is chosen centrally and you're only told after you made your booking - mine was 1.5 hours away, they sent two people and one of their cars, between the petrol and their time alone my initial payment would probably have been used up before they ever got to the services I paid for, let alone any profit for the garage or Servicing Stop. Furthermore, most of the communication throughout the whole process is through automated system messages and done online, notably NOT the step where you are told about and asked to agree to more work. Why not send a link to a form where you can check and uncheck options? Everything else is done that way ... But, of course, then people would have time to think and not feel like they have to make a decision on the spot like I did. I begrudgingly paid the invoice to get my car back, got a call from the garage shortly after saying their driver wasn't available anymore that evening (no problem), and then the next day - radio silence. After midday, I emailed Servicing Stop to ask where my car war - radio silence. A bit later I used their online chat system and was told the car would be back that evening. No calls, no messages, finally just someone at 9pm knocking on my door handing me back my keys. Seriously - don't use them. It might work out for you if you're car-savvy - the upfront costs are low and they seem to make more dates available than other MOT services (in fact, I only booked with them this time because none of the garages in my town could have done my MOT before it was due). But if you're like me and your yearly MOT is already a source of trepidation and anxiety, learn from my mistakes and STAY AWAY. read more

Well saying they only show the good reviews, the car was collected on time and delivered earlier in between. Everything in between that was a shambles. I have no issues with the garage in Glasgow itself, they did their part but getting the call from the office down in London with the update, quoted £89 for brake fluid, £89 for clutch fluid, over £220 for brake pads, £130 for spark plug etc alarm bells starting ringing especially for the price of the fluid. I rejected all of the above and advised I would get it seen to asap when I get paid. He was not happy and was getting aggressive on the phone, saying my service light will stay on(didn't have a service light on in the first place) just that the engine oil needed replaced and how dangerous my car would be, and then had to pay for the specialist oil, not given an option. Meanwhile the report came through which said that the brake fluid, clutch fluid etc was ok, so why am I being told to pay a ridiculous amount of money! I paid for the engine oil via the link and got my car back earlier than expected. Will never use this service again. read more

Please, please, please do yourself a favour and do not use this company! You will not be saving money! You will pay way over the odds for any parts and when you pay for a full service you will not get that unless you pay extra for filters etc! I paid about £130ish for a full service and MOT, my total bill came to £426! Take heed, you will regret using them. The do not reply to emails and do not answer phone calls! The garage they use will not have your contact details, it is all done through servicing stop! They did not return my car the same day, i had no idea where it was and I've got to the point on day 2 of almost reporting my car stolen! Fortunately i managed to get through to the garage before doing so! The garage stated they would have charged me over £200 less if I'd have gone direct through them! DO NOT USE servicing stop! read more

Booked and paid for Servicing and MOT with pick up and they haven't called to pick up my car on the day or the evening before how they say they would!!! They have no number to call, only via chat you can contact them! So my money are blocked 7-14 days and my stress levels went up high because they are so unprofessional and untrustworthy! If could, I would give them - 5 stars!!! Do not book with them or pay upfront like I stupidly did! read more

This is a scam company, which tricks you in with cheap MOT and servicing offer, but then charges you between double and quadruple for repairs and don't even do the work properly. Returned my car with a scratch and a check engine light on. They are shamelessly exploiting vulnerable people in this cost of living crisis. read more

AVOID !!! save your money and time, go directly to a mechanic! dont book through servicingstop, one price on booking different price on web and trust me when the service start they will call you for a lot more money example i was offered fuel filter replacement £83 brake fluid change £77 air and polen filter £62 WTH when i ask the mechanic how much they charge for fuel filter he said around £30 brake fluid rep. £30-35 and both air filters i rep. them for less then £20 do your math and see is it worthy and all the discount you get online for paying upfront youll pay for that and some things like waste fluid and top up even twice! when i went to the garage in the morning and told them i have booked service he said i dont know nothing about that, many of the full service checks are skipped but ticked on the list and another unprofessional thing week ago did car valeting but the mechanic doesn't really care about black oily hands and clothes gets inside the car touching everywhere ... read more

Absolutely awful and scam company! DO NOT USE!! They are quick to take your money, asking you to pay in advance a few times when booking. Quick enough to call and confirm the booking, including the date and pick up address. They did not show up to service my car and I later picked up a voicemail saying they had no availability on that's date so would look to rebook it in. As if this isn't bad enough, I didn't hear from them then contacted them to find out what was going on. They had rebooked my car in for a date nearly three weeks later without even speaking to me! I asked for a refund as I said I didn't trust a company with such poor customer service but was refunded less than I paid. When I contacted them again, they said that it is in their terms and conditions that there is a £25 charge for refunds???!!!! How on earth does this work when the only reason I asked for a refund was because THEY DIDNT DO THE SERVICE I BOOKED AND PAID FOR?? Add to insult how rude the customer service assistant was, the fact that the only way to contact them is a live web chat that the assistant ended on me whilst I was trying to ask for contact details, and a non-responsive email address you can send your concerns to. I will be contacting the trading ombudsman regarding this, I know it is only £25 but the principal and service is verging on fraudulent! AVOID AT ALL COSTS read more

I found service stop on Google, I needed a full service and MOT, as my partner has had 13 strokes, the fact they would collect and return car was great as I still had to go to work. I booked in, they collected the car. I looked on dvla site after a few hrs and it had failed mot. I wasn't too surprised as my engine management light was on which is why it failed. I also had an advisory of read brake pads low. Fine. I called the call centre to see what I was supposed to do next, and the guy started rambling on about other things... I asked why as I had 1 advisory and he said that I needed wiper blades and would cost £85!!! I asked him if that included a person that lived under my bonnet and manually wiped the windscreen when it needed it (lol) he then proceeded to say I needed brake fluid at £90 and all the work would cost £625!! I said "no thank you" he started his intimidating tactics then of "well its failed, its not insured, you can't drive it, they won't return it, you will be illegally driving" I basically told him to jog on. He then proceeded to tell me if you drive a car it "needs to be able to brake you know" I said to him "I've been driving 25 yrs, if I don't know that by now then there is something wrong" I asked him why he was saying about brakes as I just had it on an advisory and he said it was dangerous. I ended the call. My friend dropped me off at the nominated garage where my car was, they said they didn't refuse to bring my car back, and proceeded to tell me the work that was needed to remove the management light. I declined, they brought my car back an hr later. I took it straight to my usual garage to be told in their opinion no service other than oil change had taken place, the engine management light wasn't on, and my advisories were just a rear tyre no brake pads. My garage said in their opinion not only did none of the work need doing that if it had needed done it would be less than £100. I didnt go back for the free mot test, I paid another garage to complete it. I will never use service stop again. Absolute daylight Robbery!! I was angry for all the people that maybe intimidated by these thieves. Unbelievable!! I wish I'd read the reviews so I basically paid for a full service that wasn't done and an mot that the advisories were not an advisory and didn't show rear tyres read more

Do not use Servicing stop , they initially get you with a special offer for Service and MOT, which has hidden extras in the small print , they charge extra for Specialist oil when it's not needed and when you say you don't want it they won't deliver your car back unless you pay. They try and charge for additional work which is approximately 40% more than even a main dealer would charge . They are a nightmare to get hold off on the phone and do not respond to E-mails. How this company is still in business is beyond me . Avoid like the plaque is my sound advice to everyone . read more

PLEASE DO NOT use this company !!! I would like to tell you about my experience with Servicing Stop. vary poor lack of service Following a service a paid £524.96 which felt is too much. I phoned the garage who completed requested work. Owner of the garage explained to me that they did all work but had from Servicing stop £100 only. On question ,,Why they took so much money from the customer'' Servicing stop answered: ,,We can take as much as we want''. Unbelievable. and they didn't fixed properly after couple of weeks all most an nearly dyeing because wheals they didn't fixed properly one of the rare passenger side wheal making noise I take it to local garage they noticed the wheal locking bolt is gone other three over 80%come out. the guy told me am so lackey otherwise If drove on road without going to garage the wheal definitely com out This company is an absolute disgrace. I wish I was more careful, had read reviews and seen the WatchDog investigation prior to booking. If you are thinking of using this service -- don't take any risk !!! with service stop read more

This service is a hit or miss service. I'm not sure how they select the garages but the first garage I used was acceptable. However, the second garage who did my car left it in such a state I wonder if they are even capable of doing car work. I paid £600 for some work done which when returned the driver said I need to check the steering which was all bent. I took it to a different mechanic and they told me that all the work that was badly done and was in a dangerous condition, plus I was over charged for every item in the list they provided. They will write up a report and i will be getting my money back for their negligence in a simple MOT. EDIT: They are now ignoring my emails and fobbing me off on the phone saying the customer service department is busy. Not recommended at all. read more

DO NOT use this company!!!! It's a complete false economy and a SCAM. I had multiple issues following a service - The garage DENTED my car in 3 different places, scratched the rear bumper and left oil marks over the fabric of the seats. They then denied liability for nearly 6 weeks -which customer services took as the truth despite clear 'before and after' evidence (a video and photos) illustrating the car in perfect condition and then the damage on return. ServicingStop also took my car WITHOUT my consent to a garage nearly an hour and a half away.. after GUARENTEEING (twice) that it would be taken to a local garage we had agreed on. The driver picked up the car 2 hours late and returned it 1 hour late - even after explaining that I had another appointment and needed to leave, the staff at the garage consistently LIED to me and said the driver "was just around the corner". Even the driver admitted they hadn't even spoken to him for an update and he hadn't even completed the previous job! I'm also sure I have overpaid for the work that was recommended - nearly £60 just to change a pollen filter! Having read other people's experiences, I am now getting a second opinion on the other work that was recommended. On top of this, my engine warning light came on 2 weeks after the supposed service (and this is totally unrelated to the recommended work..)!!! The fuel injectors were blocked - once again ServicingStop denied that this should have been identified in the full service and covered up the garage's incompetence. 8 weeks have now passed and customer services have failed to offer me any sort of compensation and failed to rectify the damage. They have access to hundreds of garages and yet supposedly couldn't find another one more local to me to have the repairs and the remaining work done. They even had the audacity to suggest I pay the original garage (who vandalised my car, denied liability and lied to me multiple times) another £168 to have the remaining work done?! This company is an absolute disgrace. I wish I had read reviews and seen the WatchDog investigation prior to booking. If you are thinking of booking with them, just don't risk it!! read more

Booked in for a service and mot with 2 weeks notice, I was called the DAY BEFORE it was due after 4.30pm to say it was cancelled as the garage had no space. Apparently their policy is to try and book you in to a garage 2 days before your selected date - can understand why places would be full! No apology just told that's how it is. Awful customer service. They wanted to reschedule for a weeks time but this isn't convenient as my mot is due and I already took a day off work for this booking, wouldn't risk it again. Really let down by Servicing Stop and recommend going elsewhere - anywhere but here! read more

I Booked the car in for service & mot and I expected to pay a fee on top for my oil and spark plugs but when I was told it had failed the mot I said I would have the car back and do the work elsewhere and then have it rebooked in but Daniel then said why would I do this and kept on questioning me I told him I wasn't happy so he hung up on me I then rang back and he said that we will get the car back to me and then hung up again In the end I had to get them to do the work as I haven't got time to book the car in elsewhere as it had no mot. I basically had no choice I told them to do the work and was quoted £180 I then had a phone call to say the work was done and had to pay £466 instead of £180 by this point I had given up and just accepted it as I couldn't do anything as they had my car I then agreed to pay and Daniel said before I pay I have to leave feedback before it allows me to go the payment screen and he would refund £10 for a good review I wanted to leave a bad review but was worried they would do something to my car as they still had it. read more

Booked in for a full service and MOT. I arranged for my car to be picked up between 10am-11am, however the man arrived at 8:30am. I managed to fumble everything together quickly, like my service book and keys while he took some pictures of the car and then off he went. Two hours later I receive a call that my car has passed its MOT but they recommend I have my oil changed (£24+ VAT), new spark plugs (£75 ish), new pollen filter (£65ish), and brake fluids (£65ish) so all in all with my service totally over £400... what?! Not only are those extortionate prices for those services, but they were sold to me essentials when really they were unnecessary extras. I felt like I was caught really off-guard and the services weren't explained to me clearly. I didn't agree to them all, just the brakes and oil because they seemed to sound the most vital (so I was told), but upon further research should have been included as part of the service anyway. When the car was returned, there was then no paper work for any of the work done either printed nor emailed so I have no record that it was. For all I know, they could have not done any of it. I booked Service Stop because I thought it was easier and a more convenient option. Instead, I was upsold, rushed and probably didn't even get the service I paid for. Ridiculous. My advice: go local and go trustworthy. Avoid this deceiving middle-man. read more

Appalling service at inflated prices - I was sold on the idea of a company managing a simple service and MOT with a garage, this can be difficult with a busy work life. There were complications with the job - these things happen, but my case handler was invariably either not available, needing to chase the garage or not calling back when promised - what should have been 2-3 days work maximum ended up with me being without my vehicle for more than a week. Upon return of the van I raised a complaint - and over a period of more than three weeks of trying to pass the blame onto the garage I was eventually offered a derisory refund (initially it was a voucher for a future booking unbelievably). The staff are all incredibly polite, but unwilling to take responsibility for their failings nor make good on their promises to get back to you when they say they will. As noted above I understand the business model and would be happy to pay a premium for a slick service, but this has been worse than any dealing I've had direct with a garage - indeed, in my case ten garage broke protocol and contacted me directly as they too couldn't get the response they needed from Servicing Stop. A truly shocking customer experience. read more

Absolutely horrendous!!! Please do not use this company. Looks like if you drive a bmw or any high spec car they charge for specialist oils. I paid nearly 200.00 and still no car over day late dropping it off!!! No help from customer service as the offices are in London and they are rude and dismissive not to mention disrespectful!!!! Stranded at work with no means to get home and still no car the next day!!! Have no call from service stop... I had to chase them for information as the garage didn't know anything. In relation to my recent service and MOT ... This was originally arranged for Friday 26 October although at the time they were supposed to collect my car they phoned to rearrange for the following week, saying the pick up driver had an accident. Hence my car was picked up on Tuesday 30 October instead ( luckily the MOT expiry was not imminent) and when I enquirer about the well being of the original pick up person they were unaware of any accident. However the car was taken away and serviced / MOT carried out and returned to me (as I decided to have the work carried out by my mechanic instead who did the work for £200 less than quoted, as I did not think the prices quoted by your company were realistic). As I did not leave the servicing book in the car I sent an email asking for a full receipt of all servicing / work carried out at the time, since this will link to my servicing records. I requested this on 7 November. I had to chase this up 3 weeks later as this had still not arrived (furthermore, by this time my car was also showing that it was due for a service which may suggest they didn't reset the servicing button or worse). Please avoid! read more

Definitely the worst company I have ever had dealings with. On January 30th. 2019 I booked an mot through them as it was expiring on Feb. 8th. Booking was accepted, money was paid and I thought that was that. On Feb 7th received an e-mail to say that the garage was unable to do the mot and they re- booked me for the 12th. Feb. 5 days after the mot expired.!!! I frantically had to ring round several garages and finally got Halfords to do it. This year I wanted a full service done so I thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt and duly booked it through them. My booking was made on the 2nd. June 2020 for 6th June. Guess what, after paying the money etc. I received a phone call informing me that they had had to re-book for the 12th. June ?? (sound familiar), yes, they let me down again. It is now The 11th June and I am still !! waiting for my refund as I had cancelled (again). Try to ring them and you will not get through. Fly by night firm who are only after your money. Don't use them you will regret it. read more

Car was booked in for full service and mot. They did the MOT first and failed the car. They informed me the service was completed and car required futher work to pass mot. When I call the garage directly was told they were in the process of doing the service. I was charged a full service on a car they rendered un road worthy with no option to cancel service. They then keep my car 3 days after payment before returning it and used a full tank of petrol. They have ignored my emails and have failed to respond to my complaint. I have had very unpleasant experience with service stop and will not recommend them to anyone and will not use this service again. I had multiple issues with them. First, they first booked my service on a day which I took off work specifically for service and then cancelled service one day before contacting me to inform that garage is full. Then when they performed service which they claim was on discounted rate, eventually they charged me over 500 pounds for what appears to be minor additional repair work. I gave in as I wanted my car to be in good condition after service. Then after service was done, they claimed to have found a new fault and applied additional charges to repair this which amounts to near 100 pounds. This turned out to be most expensive service ever for me. I am unhappy with them and will not risk using them again. read more

servicing stop booked me in to a garage who took my perfectly working car away for a service. Servicing stop recommended additional work eg changing brake oil and coolant which I paid for. The garage returned my car with the brake oil cap off, by the windscreen wipers, low brake oil and the coolant not up to spec. This was confirmed by an independent garage. Servicing stop were difficult to get hold of for customer service and only replied to emails after serveral attempts by myself. The customer adviser on the phone was not helpful to me or my wife. I never write reviews and don't like reading bad comments as I feel a lot are nagging on for no reason but I have signed up to write my first review just for this company. The worst experience ever - From not collecting my car at 8am when arranged while I sat there on my birthday all day until 3pm when they finally came meaning i missed my birthday meal, when finally collecting the garage couldn't do it that day and had to keep over the weekend and do it on the following monday as nobody was in to do it, but then that same weekend when my car was meant to be locked up safe ready for serving monday the garage took my car out joy riding my range rover sport and then I received a speeding ticket from the police due to the garage getting caught. This is only a few points in which I was let down and I could do on but hope it gives you a basic overview of my experience. Now 2 months later and all the calls, emails and letters i've had to send plus the stress this has called me with the police, my complaint is still going through, they are refusing to refund my money i paid for the servicing which I would of thought would of been the least they could do. Plus they charged my extra £80 without my consent and without needing the extras. But this is were they get you so my servicing was over £270. Its a joke read more

Don't take the convenience route of letting Servicing Stop do your servicing. They are in essence just a milking company letting the work done by their appointed garages as leggies. Their charges might look cheaper (don't be taken in by this, as I did) with the pick up and drop off service, the garage made up its slim fee paid by Servicing Stop through pushing customers to let them undertake other work which is not necessary. If they fail to persuade the customers to commit to this, then they would compromise their service like in my case, the engine oil, air filter and fuel filter which were not changed even though this was part of the service. In fact I would go as far to say that the vehicle was not serviced at all. When I complained to the garage, the staff even told me that I should have come to them in the first place instead of through Servicing Stop as what they were paid was not sufficient for them to make any money. I contacted Servicing Stop but they just make my complaint drag on and on. It has now been well over a year now and they still wanted me to provide the parts which the garage did not replace but refuse to pay for the postage to send to them. At one time, they suggested to contact my mechanic but so far they haven't spoken to him. So think again before giving Servicing Stop your business. read more

Excuses, Excuses, Excuses A £160.00 Full Service not I have used the service once before, last year, I thought that the service was very good and they did everything they said they would. Collected and delivered to my place of work, washed & hoovered. So using them this time I expected the same. Last year I did think that they had invented a fault just to bump up the charges, but not as much as this year This is what they came up with this time, over £1,000.00, add to this the cost of the service. FUEL CLEANER & ENGINE FLUSH £35.40 BRAKE FLUID REQUIRED IN-SUFFICIENT CONCENTRATION £54.00 O/S/F HEADLIGHT REQUIRES NEW BULB £28.20 EXHAUST LEAKING AT JOINT ADVISE REMOVAL & RE-SEALING £46.80 EXHAUST MIDDLE BOX SLIGHTLY LEAKING OF GAS REQUIRES REPLACEMENT AS THIS SECTION OF THE EXHAUST IS RUSTY HAS DEVELOPED A HOLE £126.42 N/S/F LOWER BALL JOINT RUBBER SPLIT REQUIRES REPLACING £74.72 N/S & O/S ANTI ROLL BAR LINKS WORN REQUIRE REPLACEMENT £83.57 REAR FOG-LIGHT NOT WORKING REQUIRES REMOVAL DRAINAGE OF WATER BULB INSERT & REFITTED £53.70 POLLEN FILTER DUE ON SERVICE SCHEDULE £41.40 FUEL FILTER DUE ON SERVICE SCHEDULE £41.74 SPARK PLUGS DUE ON SERVICE SCHEDULE £37.12 FRONT TYRES AND N/S/R TYRE ARE CRACKED AROUND THE WALLS RECOMMENDED TO REPLACE CONTINENTAL £96 (PER TYRE) N/S/F HUB CAP IS MISSING NEW CAP £32.38 All prices are inclusive of parts, labour and VAT. I can probably do some of these things myself, the car is only 7 years old, but the prices seem quite steep. I did have the Anti Roll Bar Links done and the lower ball joint, the brake fluid was allegedly full of water but £54.00 for some Brake Fluid, it was explained to me that it was important so I agreed that this was done, I also agreed that the Spark plug cover should be done, as it wasn't actually the spark plugs, however, that couldn't be done as allegedly the part wasn't delivered. But wait there's more to this story. I'd arranged that the car was to be picked up the night before, which worked out really well for me, the driver collected the car and seemed really interested and filled me with confidence about the service side of what they were going to do. Chatty and polite and very focussed on giving customer service. According to the information you are provided with, the car will be delivered back between 4.00 and 6.00 p.m. after all the work has been completed and once you have paid, I paid on-line as prescribed this came to £456.21, including the Spark Plug cover which would have to be done the next day at no extra cost at my place of work £37.12. Anyhow I didn't hear anything more from Servicing Stop except to say that the payment had been accepted so I waited for the car. 6.00 p.m. arrived and I called Servicing Stop, they said that the car was on it's way back and it would definately be delivered by the latest 7.00 p.m. So 7.00 p.m. arrives the car is still not back I call the Servicing Stop line again and they tell me that they can't get hold of the driver. Call again at 8.00 p.m. if it hasn't arrived. I've now missed two social appointments I made thinking that I'd have had the car back. I call again at 8.00 p.m. I ask to speak to someone senior, but this seems to fall on deaf ears, I'm told again that the car is on it's way and will be there in 20 minutes. I ask what happens if it doesn't arrive, I'm told I'll be connected to Customer Service, (who have I been speaking to for two hours?) At 8.30 p.m. the car shows up the driver unaware of anything, he starts by asking if I'd had the list of things that they had recommended to be corrected, I tell him I've been calling every hour since 6.00 p.m. to find out where the car is, he looks at me as if I've grown an extra head, I admit to being very curt, but not rude, I just told him that I wouldn't be using Servicing Stop again. I was very annoyed though. I called the Servicing Stop lady (Michaela) to tell her that the car had arrived, and to cancel the Spark Plug cover fitting, I will get that done elsewhere, she apologies profusely, I interrupted her and said it's all very well her apologising but this doesn't help with the catalogue of things that have happened at the inconvenience of the customer, I told her that I wouldn't be using Servicing Stop again. So here I am, telling you all about it, I can see that lots of people have had a very good experience like I did last year. I'm very dissappointed though, I'll be off to Halfords at the weekend to get the bulbs and Kwik-Fit for the exhaust. The tyres will get done next week at Costco. Filters and hub cap off eBay. The fuel flush out I'll ask another garage, my friend has just given me a recommendation for a garage she uses locally. read more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS https://www.theguardian.com/money/2017/mar/18/servicing-stop-charges-can-add-up-car-garage-driving Should of read this article first before dealing with Sevicing Stop My vehicle was serviced and the MOT done at an additional cost of 313.93, bringing the total to 411.49 Pounds for a hand brake adjustment and cleaning of some parts. They suggested a payment plan over 6 months, to which I agreed, but on completion of the forms the bank I use (Starling Bank) was rejected, same card I used to pay for the full service and MOT. I let them know what was happening and was told that they would revert to their finance department and get back to me which didn't happen. So I loaned some money and made a full payment this morning as my vehicle was not released yesterday 18/10 I have tried phoning them repeatedly to let them know that the payment has been made, only to get the engaged tone or unanswered calls and no one has bothered phoning me back either. After writing this review, one of the Servicing Stop Managers Michael was in contact on Tuesday the 19th October to try and resolve this matter. I was told telephonically that the vehicle would be delivered today the 20th October 2021 between a window of 9am-10am or 1pm to 2pm, and till now no call and no response as to when delivery will take place On the 22nd of October, I had still not received my vehicle and phoned the customer care manager Michael did I receive a call from the garage to say my car would be delivered in 15min, otherwise I do not think I would have my vehicle. I was also told by him that he would give me a full refund for any inconvenience caused. After inspection of my vehicle I see that the service light is still on. The following is the correspondence mail Michael Nathan Tue, Oct 19, 5:33 PM (1 day ago) to me Dear Matias, I hope this email finds you well. Thank you for taking the time to speak with me today. Once again I am sorry for any inconvenience caused due to the lack of correspondence from us in relation to your vehicle. I will endeavour to keep you updated and get your vehicle back to you as soon as possible. In the meantime can you please send me over your Bank details so that I can reimburse you for this matter. Also If you would not mind writing a short review on trustpilot based on myself and how I handled the situation leaving my name in the heading I would appreciate it. -- Regards, Michael Nathan Service Care Manager read more

I recently used Servicing Stop for a full service and some additional work on my vehicle. Unfortunately, my experience has been nothing short of disappointing and frustrating. After paying £750 for what I believed was a comprehensive service, including brake fluid and fuel filter replacements, my car broke down just two days later. Concerned, I hired a different specialist to diagnose the problem, and what they found was shocking. It turned out that almost none of the work I had paid for had actually been done. The fuel filter was over 10 years old and had clearly not been replaced, the air filter and cabin filter were untouched, and the brake fluid was never changed. Even more concerning, a 4-inch split in the turbo boost pipe, which was leaking oil everywhere, had been completely missed--something that any competent mechanic would have noticed immediately. In my opinion, this was not just poor service but outright fraud. I was charged for work that was never carried out, and my car was returned in a worse condition than before. I have provided photographic evidence and a detailed report to Servicing Stop, but so far, their response has been slow and unsatisfactory. I strongly advise others to think twice before using Servicing Stop. My experience has been nothing but a costly mistake, and I hope to prevent others from going through the same ordeal. Let's Claim Our Money Back Together If you've had a similar experience with Servicing Stop, I encourage you to connect with me through this email - a.matousu@gmail.com. I booked what I thought would be a routine service through Servicing Stop, expecting a straightforward and fairly priced experience. Unfortunately, it turned out to be much more expensive and frustrating than I anticipated. Once my car was collected, I was contacted about additional work - including a brake fluid flush and a "special oil" for my Hyundai Kona - all at prices much higher than what local garages charge. I was told that if I didn't agree to pay £140 extra for this oil, my service book wouldn't be stamped. This left me feeling pressured into paying, as I would have had to arrange another service elsewhere just to get the stamp. In total, what started as a £140 pre-paid service turned into a £277 bill, without any real additional work being done. The invoice listed charges for an oil flush and the "special oil price difference," none of which were mentioned in the original quote. Trying to reach Servicing Stop by phone afterward was nearly impossible - the line either rang endlessly or appeared invalid, leaving me feeling like I'd been blocked once they had my payment. While the car collection and return service is convenient, the lack of pricing transparency, upselling pressure, and inability to easily contact them made this a terrible experience. When the garage dropped off my car, the driver looked shocked at the invoice and even confirmed that they themselves would never charge such inflated prices for oil. Overall, I left feeling overcharged, pressured, and completely dissatisfied. I would not recommend Servicing Stop to anyone looking for an honest, fairly priced service. read more

Title: Avoid Servicing Stop - Poor Service and Hidden Charges Rating: 1/5 I recently had a very disappointing experience with Servicing Stop. Despite agreeing to a flat fee for my car service, I was later told I needed to pay an additional £40 for "special oil" that I did not authorize. The company refused to return my vehicle until this charge was paid, which I found unacceptable - The Mechanic actually confirmed later that he had not put specialist oil in the car and that Servicing Stop always charge for Specialist oil even when the car hasn't received it. The customer service was unhelpful and unresponsive, making it difficult to resolve the issue. I was not informed about any additional charges when booking the service, and the lack of transparency is concerning. I also received emails from them confirming that I had authorised the specialist oil when I hadn't, this was very alarming. I strongly advise against using Servicing Stop due to their poor service quality and deceptive billing practices. The stress and inconvenience caused by their actions are not worth the initial low price they advertise. Recommendation: Do not trust Servicing Stop with your vehicle. Look for more reliable and transparent service providers. read more

Shocking service. £164 for an MOT and interim service, which turned out to be just an oil change! Add to that a quote of £650 for MOT repairs, including £50 to change a headlamp, and they're laughing. Apparently the reason it costs £1.10 to get a headlamp changed at the local garage and £50 to get it changed by ServicingStop is something to do with inflation and VAT. Riiiight I later got independent quotes for the same repairs from both my local garage and the garage that ServicingStop had sent the car to, and both were a couple hundred pounds cheaper than the quote ServicingStop had given me. For those who think that this company's affiliation with Dragon's Den means it's a reputable company, this is what Deborah Meaden says on her website: Important announcement re Servicing Stop Following a number of complaints regarding the service provided by Servicing Stop, Deborah would like to make it clear that although she made an offer in the Den, the investment did not go through and Deborah is not in any way connected with Servicing Stop. Dragon's Den don't even want to be associated with them. Frankly I'm not surprised! Too bad you can't leave zero stars on this site. read more

Just got my Ford's service and MOT done. The car was collected at agreed time. After that I had to chase the progress of the service. In afternoon I got a call and the person gave me a long list of what extras are needed to be done. Like filter which can be bought for £10 , they charge you £50. If oils needs replacement (break, antifreez) they will charge you around £50 , they charged me £245 just for break disks and pads. I was thinking to get the service done within £300 budget but they changed me nearly £800 after I declined some oil and filter changes as the guy was asking for about £1000. If you go to a private garage for a service and buy the necessary parts and oils from europarts, you can save a huge amount of money. This was my first time with this company and will be the last time as well. I will not recommend to anyone to use this ripping service. The only thing they say is all our parts comes with 12 months warranty thats why we are charging that much. (really? even oils and filters?) They wont pass your MOT until you say yes to their quotation. I could have saved about £300 using my own private mechanic. read more

I want to give these guys 0 stars. Seriously, that bad. Terrible service, bad garages to do the work, lots of problems after servicing with faults showing up that they claim are a coincidence, trying to add on lots of unnecessary extra replacements or bits of work. They start out looking like they'll be cheap and it only goes up from there. They're cheap in the bad sense of the word. Go to a local independent garage. Get good, honest people to work on your car. It'll start off sounding more expensive but will work out much, much better value in the long run. Personally I will never ever let them anywhere near my car again. It's a shame people like this exist because they make us all lose trust in mechanics and the people who genuinely do a decent job. This isn't an isolated incident judging by all the people who've had problems here: http://incompetencetoday.blogspot.co.uk/2010/01/servicing-stop-reviews.html read more

I booked online and received an email and text to confirm all was booked . On the morning of the 12th, Alan collected my car and informed me of how everything works. He assured me that my warranty would remain intact and assured me all parts were Vauxhall approved. At lunch time I received a call to say my car was ready. I was offered a couple of extra services such as a fuel system flush, but I declined as the car is only a year old. No hard sell from the agent. A couple of hours later and my car was back on the driveway. Would definitely recommend their service, and £90 cheaper than Vauxhall! read more

I was highly impressed with the seamless service and simplicity of using Servicing Stop to MOT my car. Without leaving my house the car was collected and delivered within the time slots allocated by friendly and very courteous drivers. The payment was simple on line and the customer care team answered my queries knowledgeably and actually seemed to care. I understand SS has agreements with different garages around the country, the garage in Crouch End, NW London that did the work were friendly and reliable. I would recommend this service to my friends and family and you!!! read more

As a woman I've always been a bit skeptical of mechanics and garages and always prepared for the worst when visiting a garage in the form of a hefty bill! I was apprehensive about using an online service because you're not there to see it all yourself but it was the best thing I've ever done (my life sounds really interesting at this point) It was an easy process, I didn't have to go to the garage and I just got a call to say it had passed it's MOT and that once I'd paid it would be returned for the school run. It's a great little business that I'm so glad I found! read more

Used this company for the first time for my MOT. Arranged for car to be collected from home between 9 and 10am and to be returned between 4 and 6pm. Collection took place on time and mid morning received a call to say MOT passed and car could be returned within 2 hours if this suited me. In fact car back on my drive approx 1 hour later. The company sent me an email with link to pay online....straightforward and simple. Very helpful and efficient. Extremely eady booking process. Saved a lot of headache. Definitely use again. Many thanks. read more

Absolutely ridiculous, they find things wrong with your vehicle that don't need addressing/fixing and then charge you double. Our vehicle was delivered in a worse state, than when it was picked up. Customer service takes between 5 and 7 days to respond, so we haven't had a working vehicle for over a week (over the Christmas period). We ended up taking it to a reputable garage and paying even more money out. Please read all the other negative reviews of this company, before making the same mistake we did. read more

Excellent service from start to finish. Booked car in for MOT only, which was nearly half the price of the main dealer (Peugeot) and with collection and delivery from home in Sheffield (saving me time and effort in dropping the car off and collecting). Needed some remedial work, which was expected, and price quoted was reasonable and work done and car dropped off the same day. Was offered additional work but not pressured into taking it. Would use again and definitely recommend. read more

What an absolute disaster this service has been for me. You can communicate with a complaint but they ignore you if it is not in the garages favour. What they forget is that if a complaint is ignored long enough we have an option. For me as you have chosen not to reply I have no option but go through with the AA legal procedure. I also will be contacting the Daily Mail. In fact I will TRY anything that brings attention to you lot. Fardwsa please note. From ref 831722 read more

What an excellent service, on my car, and from the Servicing Stop team great communication throughout collected my car in the specified time slot, a little late returning the car, but that was OK. The service centre they selected for my car were very busy and have a good reputation. So well done to everyone, Thank you for taking the hassle out of having my car serviced. I will be recommending Serving Stop and using them again. The discount was very good as well. read more

A great service, they came and picked the car up in the time slot that I was told, he was very nice and polite let know me know how the service works and answered all my questions as I was a first time customer. I was phoned to be told that my car had passed and also the advisory notes and once I paid it would be released to me. The car was brought back quick and again the man was very polite. A great service and will certainly be doing it again read more

Great service received today from Servicing Stop. My car had to have its MOT done and an interim service - all completed to high specification by a local Servicing Stop garage with friendly and knowledgeable staff and a brilliant collection and delivery service. Very happy to recommend this to anyone who has not used them or is somewhat dubious in any way - it really is good value and high quality convenience. read more
