Excuses, Excuses, Excuses A £160.00 Full Service not I have used the service once before, last year, I thought that the service was very good and they did everything they said they would. Collected and delivered to my place of work, washed & hoovered. So using them this time I expected the same. Last year I did think that they had invented a fault just to bump up the charges, but not as much as this year This is what they came up with this time, over £1,000.00, add to this the cost of the service. N/S/F HUB CAP IS MISSING NEW CAP £32.38 All prices are inclusive of parts, labour and VAT. I can probably do some of these things myself, the car is only 7 years old, but the prices seem quite steep. I did have the Anti Roll Bar Links done and the lower ball joint, the brake fluid was allegedly full of water but £54.00 for some Brake Fluid, it was explained to me that it was important so I agreed that this was done, I also agreed that the Spark plug cover should be done, as it wasn't actually the spark plugs, however, that couldn't be done as allegedly the part wasn't delivered. But wait there's more to this story. I'd arranged that the car was to be picked up the night before, which worked out really well for me, the driver collected the car and seemed really interested and filled me with confidence about the service side of what they were going to do. Chatty and polite and very focussed on giving customer service. According to the information you are provided with, the car will be delivered back between 4.00 and 6.00 p.m. after all the work has been completed and once you have paid, I paid on-line as prescribed this came to £456.21, including the Spark Plug cover which would have to be done the next day at no extra cost at my place of work £37.12. Anyhow I didn't hear anything more from Servicing Stop except to say that the payment had been accepted so I waited for the car. 6.00 p.m. arrived and I called Servicing Stop, they said that the car was on it's way back and it would definately be delivered by the latest 7.00 p.m. So 7.00 p.m. arrives the car is still not back I call the Servicing Stop line again and they tell me that they can't get hold of the driver. Call again at 8.00 p.m. if it hasn't arrived. I've now missed two social appointments I made thinking that I'd have had the car back. I call again at 8.00 p.m. I ask to speak to someone senior, but this seems to fall on deaf ears, I'm told again that the car is on it's way and will be there in 20 minutes. I ask what happens if it doesn't arrive, I'm told I'll be connected to Customer Service, (who have I been speaking to for two hours?) At 8.30 p.m. the car shows up the driver unaware of anything, he starts by asking if I'd had the list of things that they had recommended to be corrected, I tell him I've been calling every hour since 6.00 p.m. to find out where the car is, he looks at me as if I've grown an extra head, I admit to being very curt, but not rude, I just told him that I wouldn't be using Servicing Stop again. I was very annoyed though. I called the Servicing Stop lady (Michaela) to tell her that the car had arrived, and to cancel the Spark Plug cover fitting, I will get that done elsewhere, she apologies profusely, I interrupted her and said it's all very well her apologising but this doesn't help with the catalogue of things that have happened at the inconvenience of the customer, I told her that I wouldn't be using Servicing Stop again. So here I am, telling you all about it, I can see that lots of people have had a very good experience like I did last year. I'm very dissappointed though, I'll be off to Halfords at the weekend to get the bulbs and Kwik-Fit for the exhaust. The tyres will get done next week at Costco. Filters and hub cap off eBay. The fuel flush out I'll ask another garage, my friend has just given me a recommendation for a garage she uses locally. read more
