I paid $350 deposit for an online tax prep meeting so I will have to dispute charge with my credit card to get my money back! Stay away! Edit: Taxlana returned my $350 deposit. I did not get my taxes done by them so I cannot comment on that. But the experience of not being able to reach this company by phone or other and the location listed is not legit. But I cannot give a review positive or negative on the quality of tax prep by this company.

The problem came when the IRS did not post my final payment. I received a bill from the IRS saying that I owed them over $2000. I sent the letter and the proof of payment to them and asked them what happened? They told me that I had to call the IRS to find out why they didn't post my payment. I even reverified that they were not going to make that call for me. My taxes are complicated, and I have had a CPA prepare my taxes and electronically file them every year for the past 30 years. Things like this don't happen often, but when they do THE CPA IS THE ONE WHO CALLS THE IRS ON MY BEHALF!! If there were an error on the preparation of the document, then I would have been at a loss to explain it. I ended up waiting on the phone for 4 hours and was able to get it straightened out myself. However, I am now looking for another accounting firm because this is not the level of service I require. At the same time, as I said, they prepared my taxes accurately, so I don't think it's fair to give them just one star. I'm not sure I would recommend them though, just based upon the fact that they aren't going to help you if anything goes wrong.

The AI agents were horrible, kept sending me through the same loop, and ultimately I gave up and left a 3*. After their prompt response by a real person to set up an appointment, I decided to take down my review to potentially leave a better one if things went well. I was scheduled for an appointment about a week out, and at the time of the appointment, I called the number and received another virtual assistant (not AI to my knowledge), who told me that the person I had the appointment with was on another call. I left my number and was never contacted, until about 3 weeks later, by email calendar invite, telling me that another appointment had been set up in another week or two. He talked to me for about 5-10 minutes, gave me some informal guidance on how I might be able to arrive at a solution without forking out a bunch of money, and said to come in if I ran into trouble I couldn't solve myself.
