What initially created the need for the call was a gas fireplace that would not ignite I had previously tried ChatGPT, called a chimney sweep company, and even called the previous owner of my house, all to no avail. Within a few minutes of of arriving, Jordan was able to locate the hidden shut off for the gas fireplace and get it working pretty promptly. While here, he was able to notice a couple of other things that needed attention. My tankless water heater had been installed incorrectly by the previous plumber, and the technicians from Hukill's were able to manage that. And also, when it came to a clogged sink in our master bathroom, they were able to address that as well. By the end of our time together I had heard some good stories from Jordan, I was able to practice my French with Joseph and most importantly had a lot of small annoyances cleared up (literally) leaving my home in better functioning order than when they arrived. We were referred to CWF by A#1 Air. Project Manager Oscar showed up to assess the damage later that same day (Wednesday, Jan 17th)and walked us through the process. During his time here, we contacted our insurance company to file a claim which was initiated within 20 minutes with a representative over the phone. Since Oscar was present, it facilitated communication. Oscar gave us a two-hour window between 8am and 10am and said that we should expect to receive a call from dispatch informing us that they are on their way. He also took a series of pictures before he left so that he could inform the crew of the events that transpired. On Saturday, January 20th, the mitigation crew removed a portion of the engineered flooring that was affected and promptly placed industrial fans on and around it. They informed us that they would be back to pick up the equipment (in 4 days) after the area has completely dried and answered any questions we had. Kris, Sheldon, Gabriel, and Oscar were professional and knowledgeable - explaining everything about the process and I appreciate the time and patience they took on a Saturday morning to help us. Because I was concerned, I brought in a second company for another opinion. They immediately found mold behind the wall and under my son's vanity--an area where you simply had to open the cabinet door to see the growth. It is baffling that a "restoration expert" could miss something so obvious. I would not recommend this company if you are looking for a thorough or detail-oriented inspection.
