Quiet, alcohol and pet free bay beach and park. Lots of parking, clean and close beach from parking…read morelot. No boardwalk nor eateries but they do have restrooms. Rocky beach and no waves because it's on the bay. Parking is $22 for non residents. Wish the water was clearer but it's natural. Brought water shoes but didn't really need them if you're careful. They have an East beach and West beach within park. West allows bbqs, larger fields and nice views. East beach is more like a beach due to lifeguard staff. Nature center located on east beach as well. My photos are from west beach only.

Attendents at gate harrassed and aggressively continued to aggitate my daughter in law over no dog…read morerule after my son exited car and walked of property. They called ahead to explain they were there only for a 20 minute photo shoot and was told it was ok for dog to stay in car .. absolutely unprofessional.. then called cops because son got out of car with dog at gate and had to walk off property but they said dog was on property even walking of the property. May be a beautiful beach but attendents were aggressive and made a chaotic scene in front of lil children. . 3 hour drive to get told no entrance with dog who again wasn't going out of car for the 20 mins they would be there .. but before attacking my children they took her $22 and then tried to say my daughter in law and kids couldn't enter. I'm very upset as a parent and we have dash cam footage to prove their actions .. while she did the shoot a ranger followed and taunted her the whole 20 mins while trying to do her professional photo shoot .. they were instigating a reaction more than what already had occured. I'm a seriously mad momma bear and will be making a phone call to the park authority

Great hiking trails. There are around 5 different trails you can hike depending on the time you…read morehave and your hiking fitness. There is also pavilions you can rent for parties, picnic areas you can use for your gatherings, corn hole games, volleyball courts and a ball field. Overall great place for escaping the hum drum of the city. Great for nature walks with the kids where you can visit the vernal pools and if lucky see a hawk or an eagle flying in the area above.

We arrived late afternoon, so didn't get to explore a whole lot, but it seemed that there were some trails to explore. There are paved roads and walkways for biking also. Note, there is no power and no open bathrooms since power has not been restored. Only a few (?2) port a potties are available.

These locations are on the state line of New York and Connecticut. My Dad would take me fishing at Greenwich Point. We had huge family picnics in the area with grills and benches. I remember hanging hammocks in the trees. As kids we ran and played building up our appetite. I've got many historic photos from over the years. Summertime at Greenwich Point is the best! Why three stars ? I've been to many beaches and this one is just average. Compared to places like Fire Island & Robert Moses State Park there's no competition. Beautiful big rolling waves, infinite views, the wildlife, flowers and clean ocean breeze off the Atlantic Ocean versus the rocky rough sand and wimpy wavelets of the Long Island Sound. It's a nice place for picnics but the last time I was there they kicked people out right before sunset so I couldn't even enjoy the view.

This formal access site quasi-adjacent to Hess/Subway boasts mini docks bordering the hand launch…read morezone. The property is dotted with bamboo around the walkways that bring you through wooded area over to the other end from the lot. It's a quick jaunt to/from the LIE (though we always take the back roads) and is kinda equidistant in terms of the entire Peconic route, offering some nice portage (including a ramped launch between tunnels that seems to amaze newcomers every time when they spot the bottom of a not-that-severe dropoff into tunnels, which complement the one up the road).
