They ignore any documented outside infections that may involve the gums or teeth. Altered imaging, which is highly illegal! I have imaging from other recent dentists that prove otherwise and documented as UNDETERMINED to investigate by a proper qualified specialist such as a root tip infection which there was not. They are likely to push a root canal and crown done by their specialists. I also noticed that during a cleaning that tiny parts of tooth were missing in between filings as they were there before they started. I have proof. This is likely to start a future infection such as a treament like a root canal or fillling. They use a vibrating tool that's more like an ingraving machine you would use to etch writing on a metal tool like a wrench. The pieces I picked up off my tongue were clear and not yellow or white which would indicate tarter build up and noticed pieces missing between my filling on one tooth, which was always there for years, noticing it with my tounge and it was sharp too. DO NOT USE THIS TOOL FOR CLEANING! It likely damages the enemal and creates cavities! Yes, it's effective to remove tartar build-up but can do much more damage than a pick and rotary toothbrush. This is often witnessed by others who have treatment with this tool. Avoid it in other places, too. If they can't answer you, then walk away and note it in a review. To sum up, this practice has offered me root canals for unesesary work were the teeth dont hurt, there is no visible infection on the gums teeth or even recent or current history when in comparison. You get a different dentist every time and have no idea what the last practitioner did. They likely deform good teeth for profit! There is much more I did not mention here when compared to other dental practices that were current and I've had over the years, so please use your own caution judgments and inform yourself everything about a practice before making clear judgments. I have also noticed a reduction in patents in the waiting area and ease of getting a much sooner appointment within a days, not weeks or months time which is an indicator of a mass of clients leaving to go elsewhere since about 2021 or so. They are not all honest, so choose your dentist carefully.

The office is very nicely decorated and clean. The hygienist was very thorough, nice, and professional during my cleaning. Dr Ty came in to introduce himself, asked me a few questions to get to know me and reviewed my x-rays in detail. He was very polite and informative about routine dental care. Not that going to the dentist is anyone's favorite thing to do but finding a good one can be challenging as most ppl tend write reviews for negative experiences only. My experience being a patient here for the past few years is that this is generally speaking a good…read moredental practice. There is something I learned, however, that could be valuable to certain individuals. When I found out that Mass General had a dental practice on the North Shore that accepted MassHealth, I thought I had hit the jackpot. "Man's Best Hospital" providing dentistry to (among others) the poor and disabled. Here is the rub. Because MassGeneral is a teaching hospital, some of the dentists in the practice are residents, which means they have not yet completed their training and are therefore in a way not yet full-fledged dentists. Well, do you think MassHealth patients get to pick from any of the dentists in the practice to be their provider? Of course not. The present number of attending dentists accepting new MassHealth patients is zero, which means if you have MassHealth and want to be a patient at this practice, you will have to be treated by a resident. Don't get me wrong, these are talented residents who are supervised by an attending, one would surmise in a similar fashion to with one of the less divided mainstream specialties. But I think it is important for MassHealth patients to be aware that they may get better care if they can connect with a non-large institution tied private practice staffed completely by attending dentists that accepts MassHealth. While there may be a shortage of such dentists in the Commonwealth, the care for this demographic might be better at such an office compared to what's presently available at Mass General.

First they took a bunch of regular xrays. 20 perhaps. Then they wanted and I would NOT LET THEM they wanted to take a Perio Probe...which is a needle like poking tool and check the depth of my gums by poking that thing all the way to the bone. They said this was MANDATORY FOR ALL DENTAL PATIENTS of theirs. I refused and walked right out of there. I came home and looked on google for this peri probe and the ones on google are very thin. The one they tried using on my was 3 times thicker! Why is it in all my 51 years of going to the dentist has no other dentist done that? I have no problems with my gums. They want to do all this BEFORE a separate appointment for a cleaning. Why not wait until the teeth are cleaned before you start trying to push plaque and bacteria down into my bone line. I had to walk out. They insisted they had to do it or I could not get care there. So I had to walk. Deal breaker. Reading the other reviews here it looks like they are into torture. I wish I had read the reviews. I should have known better. Hope I did not catch anything in that office and I have learned a very valuable lesson today. ASK UP FRONT what I should expect at the visit. Every little detail so I don't waste my time. When they say comprehensive exam they mean sticking tools in between your gum and teeth all the way to the bone. Every. Single. Patient. Nope. If I have trouble with my gums then you can do that. Your not gonna push bacteria up to my jaw bone and start new medical issues for me. Its totally unnecessarily to be doing that to people. Especially poor people.
