I've been a long time patient of Burba Dental Partners and although I've moved out of state, I continue to come back when I'm in town. It's been years of dental work and I feel that I owe this review for others t My first visit was in 2005/2006. I had a traumatic fall which caused my front tooth to fall out (whole root) and I broke my other front tooth and both lateral teeth in half. This was a couple of days after Christmas and no one was open when I was calling from the ER, but Dr. Stanley opened up for me and saw me. Both he and Dr. Randy took care of me. After extensive treatments and recovery, I had veneers, bone graft, gum graft and implant done, I could not be more grateful or happy with the results. It's been years and I've moved to Toronto, Miami, Palm Springs, Newport Beach and LA. I've seen dentists here for cleanings and each time, they have been really impressed with the work saying how natural it looks and really beautiful job. Burba gave me back my smile after a traumatic fall and showed me so much compassion throughout my ordeal. I always come back when I'm home in Boston as no other dental practice has made me feel more valued and cared for. read more

I was a happy client until they switched my dentist without my consent to a dentist outside of my plan when my doctor left for greener pastures, and didn't disclose it. I recently experienced a dental emergency, and Burba was more focused on financials rather than my oral health. I can't recommend this practice. read more

Got a night guard and teeth whitening trays here. They were having a promotion. It ending up being more than half off and the money was being donated to a charity. Very nice. There's lots of parking out back. The staff is always friendly and get the job done. The place is clean and well kept. The waiting room has water and coffee but I'm usually not in there long enough to need refreshments. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. By far one of the worst experiences of my life involving a money hungry family of lying scam artists. Details below... I will start by saying I don't go to the dentist every six months as I should. So when the dental hygienist (Mrs. Burba) mentioned my cleaning would be a part 1 and part 2... OK fine, never heard of this, honestly thought it was a bit odd but I didn't go to dental school. They were the "professionals". I don't floss as much as I should, there was blood, I held myself accountable for that. I scheduled "part 2" (as she called it) with the receptionist before leaving. Come back for part 2, cleaning goes good. Meet with Dr. (Stanley) Burba and he tells me my x-rays showed I have 8 cavities. EIGHT! I also "have gingivitis" and I "need treatment ASAP". If he had stated I had 4 cavities, I would have absolutely believed him, booked a follow up appointment to fix everything. But EIGHT?! Huge red flag. Said thank you, left the room and met with the receptionist to check out. The receptionist tells me my insurance would not cover my visit as my insurance only covers 1 cleaning per year. I stated "oh no, this wasn't a second cleaning it was part 2 per the dental hygienist". She whispers "sweetie, who was your hygienist?" I told her Mrs. Burba. She shook her head and said verbatim "she does this all the time". I couldn't believe it! Long story short, I didn't have to pay out of pocket for "part 2", it was adjusted by their billing department but I honestly cannot believe there are people in this world who are such thieves and take advantage of their patients and STILL in business. After getting a second opinion, I ended up only having TWO cavities and absolutely no case of gingivitis. read more

From cleanings to more serious dental care, I've always left here feeling a little taller, smiling a little broader, and want everyone to know what an amazing job they do. I've avoided the dentist for years, but since starting to come to Burba Dental I've found myself in a judgement-free place where I can get my messed-up teeth fixed at my own pace, both financially and emotionally. Everyone here is kind and patient when I'm nervous, and the family atmosphere is genuine. One of the features I love is that if they get a sudden cancellation, they'll send you a text in case you need an appointment and it coincides. Brilliant! I could go on and on... Dr Randy performed a cosmetic procedure on a tooth just today that's looked awful for years and it looks fantastic. I've booked my next two appointments already, and I can't wait to go. Go to Burba Dental and be one of those people who goes to the dentist regularly and has a beautiful smile. They can do it for you, go! *update* Here it is, years later, and my enthusiasm hasn't waned for Burba Dental! I'd never have believed that I'd become one of those people... you know, the ones that go to the dentist every six months for cleaning, who get their appropriate xrays and exams, who actually pay attention to this stuff. Katie is consistently my technician, but on the occasion I work with a different person, they're equally amazing. I've been a Burba patient for about 12 years and my wife became a patient a few years ago. My point of view is that Dr Stanley is an artist, and I have told him so several times. My wife is quite pleased with Dr Randy's work, especially on a single front tooth where a slight discoloration made her self-conscious for years. He made quick work and she's thrilled. In the course of 12 years I have had many procedures, the overall outcome is a great smile and I'm very pleased with the practice. read more

My wife and I recently switched to this practice and couldn't be happier. I hate going to the dentist but they do really great work with minimal discomfort. I had a great cleaning with Katie that didn't leave my gums feeling like they had been mauled. Deborah, the dental assistant is great to chat with and makes you feel comfortable. Dr. Costello is very personable and has done great work between two fillings and a buildup for a crown. Upfront pricing with quotes that they stick to. They don't leave you waiting forever and run on time. 12/10 will continue to use them as our dentist. read more

I found Burba dental through a referral from a friend of mine. Being a military family and moving every 3 years means having to find a new dentist with every move, which makes it really difficult to find a great dentist. I feel so lucky that we found such a quality dental practice on our first try here in Salem. They were quick to get in me and both of my children, quick for follow up appts, clear about billing and very flexible with scheduling. They were extremely patient with my 9 & 10 yr olds as well as myself. I highly recommend this practice to anyone in the search for a new dentist. read more

I have had a fear/hate relationship with the dentist since I was very young. Some traumatic experiences made me hate the dentist. I started going to Burba Dental about a year ago and it's changed my perception completely. No fear of the dentist anymore. Corrine is very welcoming and fun, and I'm at complete ease during my cleanings. Dr. Randy is excellent. No pain, no fear, no more white-knuckling in the chair. My overall oral health has improved substantially since going to Burba Dental. No more sore gums and my teeth are happy. An excellent practice, I highly recommend them. read more

I went to switch dentists and requested my medical records 4 x in one week and kept being told they would email them to me right away but they were never sent. I got fed up and called again and addressed my concern and was told they were "unable to send me my medical records unless I paid an unpaid balance." I told them I do not owe any money to them and they said it was office policy it needs to be paid before getting MRs. Fortunately, I am a medical professional myself and my husband is an attorney. This is unlawful and is part of my right as a patient to obtain my own medical records. I signed my release form and attached the section of the law by my husband stating this unlawfulness and emailed it to them. Wouldn't you know I had my MRs emailed to me less than 10 mins later. This is not the first issue I had here, which is the reason for the switch. I do not write reviews to hinder any professionals from patient services, but to advise patients to be careful when choosing providers. read more

Dr Burba and his staff are polite, efficient, and make you feel extremely comfortable. Going to the dentist isn't everyone's favorite thing to do but having a dentist group like Dr Burba's make it much better! read more

Burba Dental is a complete rip off. I called them in complete pain and the fit me in for the next day. Then after barely looking in my mouth they told me I needed a root canal and a few other things. The woman who does the insurance verification's was ignorant stating that if I couldn't afford the $2700 they were trying to charge me AFTER INSURANCE that I could always ask my parents to help. First off, I wasn't born with a silver spoon and cannot just ask my parents to bail me out when I have an issue. Second off, she tried to say I could just pay like $500 a month to pay it off quickly. Who has an extra $500 a month to spare in this day and age?? This office is a bunch of crooks. They were insensitive and tried to make me feel like a garbage person for being shocked at $2700. I wouldn't refer anyone to go here unless you are made of money and enjoy being talked down to. But hey, who am I to judge if that's what you are into. read more
