Overpriced tourist trap. I went in and got a table at the rooftop where people were feeding the seagulls thinking it is fun. The restaurant encourages this. I sat down and waited for a menu as others were given attention who came in later. I decided to leave and I'm glad I did because the prices are double of the other ones not too far. I get that you go to tourist places during travel but this place was ridiculous. If you're interested just go inside for the view and take some pictures you don't have to waste any money.

This place is located on the 5th floor of the building where you can choose to be right on the rooftop or just below it. The elevator's buttons weren't working too well, you have to press it a certain way. The washrooms can be identified by the WC signage. There are two mosques that you can see around this restaurant. We came here for lunch. Service was not bad, I think one of the servers was in training for us so when we asked for the bill, he was immediately taking away the water which you have to pay for here in Istanbul. Otherwise it was alright, nothing special but they tried to speak English although we had a translator app. The food was not good at all in my opinion. The masago on the rolls were way too fishy, not washed/fresh enough? Not sure. The ginger tasted like dirty ginger. The sea bass sashimi was okay. We ordered an arugula salad but way too bitter/spicy of an arugula. Not too bad though. We were gonna order more but it wasn't anything exciting and felt like food at our airbnb/hotel was way better. The bill for water, bread dip, rolls, sashimi and salad cane down to $70 USD. Definitely way overpriced. They have a section on the rooftop for you to take pics on. They encourage feeding seagulls and lots of poop around, good thing we didn't opt to sit upstairs. In addition the table we were at had a few mosquitos biting our legs. No I will not be going back here again when I come back to Istanbul.

Arrived for breakfast with hopes of enjoying the rooftop, but the weather had other plans, directing us to the indoor salon one level down. Opting for the breakfast for two, we were greeted with an impressive spread that covered our entire table. Having traveled a lot, I can attest that few match the Turkish dedication to breakfast. The food looked absolutely stunning but the taste didn't quite match up to the visual appeal. But to be fair, it almost seemed too good to be true, so that might have set our expectations a tad high Highly recommend the overall experience, from the breathtaking view to the attentive service and the perfect photo opportunities, makes it a spot worth trying at least once. Trust me when I say, it will be memorable.

Beautiful spot for a view but there are birds hovering around so I would not be surprised if you get swooped while eating, and I asked about being pooped on while eating an that is a definite possibility... so we chose to sit indoors. Indoors still had a great view and it's got a good menu but this place is an obvious tourist trap. Pay for the ambiance, not for the food. We had a fish skillet with peppers and cheese, along with a side of sour eggplant. Add a bottle of water, glass of cherry juice, and the grand total was over $111! What in the world was that madness? We were floored. Even indoors a spider fell onto my food, one of the biggest I've seen, and luckily it was at the end of lunch cause it killed my appetite. Do come here for the views but just be mindful of the recommendations without knowing the price --- you could get shocked!

TOURIST TRAP. This place has arguably the best views ever, but the service was really grimy and the food was way overpriced. Be prepared to spend at least $20 on appetizers and $30 on entrees. We ordered the roasted fish ($120 for two people) and it was actually super delicious (but obviously really expensive). Our service felt like they were judging us and giving us minimal effort until we ordered an expensive entree, and then suddenly had a bunch of their waiters come to beg us for tips in slimy-ish ways. I felt like they ruined the vibe of the dinner. Mmm... if I could have done it over again, I would only come here for drinks or something.

There is good view of the Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque here, so naturally, it is full of tourists. In fact, they even have a sign out front that says you can take selfies here with the Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque. The restaurant has a terrace level and a rooftop level. It's very hard to get service because there are lots of tourists and some of them are confused about anything from the menu to where to sit to why they cannot have a table reserved for others. The waitstaff is partially to blame, as they are not the best at giving instructions. For example, the first waitstaff told me I can sit at a table in the rooftop, but then a second one told me I can only sit at a table on the terrace (1 star off). After going up and down the stairs a few times, I finally sat down, I waited another 15 minutes without acknowledgement (1 star off), I flagged down a waitstaff and ordered a Turkish coffee and a semolina helva. It look another 15 minutes to get my coffee and dessert. Both were enjoyable, but not the best I have ever had. If I didn't wait so long, I may have enjoyed them even more.

We had a late lunch on the upper terrace today, with grilled squid, swordfish, and some starters. The view from there is unparalleled, and the food was very good. The prices are high, but it's in an excellent neighborhood right near all the major tourist sites.

We had good service, food and a view. The hummus didn't have much flavor. I prefer more garlic. The sea bass was tasty and fresh. The veggie soup was creamy. Wine is $10/glass. We sat on the second from top floor so the birds weren't flying over us. The view is beautiful.

Beautiful rooftop terrace with gorgeous view of the Bosphorus, Blue Mosque, Agia Sophia. The service is friendly and speedy. For appetizer we chose the octopus salad, that came with pickled veggies - the octopus was tender and pleasure to eat. We ordered a local fish, market price cooked on clay pot with veggies. The meat was tender and falling off the bone. The sauce was tasty and tangy. Hubby had wine which he enjoyed and I stuck with apple and regular black tea, all of which were delicious. The waiter surprised us with complimentary dessert, which consisted of juicy sweet pumpkin topped with kaymak and pistachios!! This is a popular place for Instagram selfies, but luckily the cold kept ppl away

We stopped here after visiting the mosque. It seemed like everyone had the same idea. It is a very popular spot filled with tourists. The menu is primarily seafood and priced higher than most places. One of the best things is going out n the terrace and feeding French fries on a fork to the seagulls. The food was good but the view and seagulls made a much better experience.

Most amazing cultural experience! You must come hungry because there are so many amazing dishes to try. The service is incredible.

Seafood was fine and fresh. The views were spectacular. We preferred indoors because on the outdoors rooftop, there were hordes of seagulls.

Location, Location, Location. The food is decent, but it's pricey relative to other local restaurants.

I am completely aware that it is one of the best places in Taksim, but the relentless crowd of people trying to move formard, make their way to the front place, as if the area were a stadium, got on my nerves. I honestly don't know whether this is a resolvable problem, but something must be done as this "predicament" seemed to put me off since it directly and adversely affected my concentreation on the "beautiful music" playing on the stage.

It's a well-known concert hall (also a bistro during the day time) where one can watch successful musicians at any night. I have watched some really good bands, too. But enjoying a concert to the fullest was always a bit a of a challenge here. I think it happens because the place is a bit small. You know how it gets crowded in front of the stage when there's a concert of a famous band? Think that you're stuck somewhere in that crowd and you need to go to the toilet because you drank lots of mid-priced beers. Well, good luck my friend because you're going to need it! You should break through that packed crowd till you reach the left end of the stage because that's where the stairs (that will take you to the toilet downstairs) are! You'll make a lot of people angry, face with some dangerous situations where you might have just get crashed down and possibly miss a big part of the show in the process. (Same applies for coming back.) I never had the courage to do that so far, but I'm so ready to hear your stories about this adventure. The other thing is that there are some waiters who try to break through that crowd for selling drinks, too. It kinda wrecks the mood for a minute or two and that happens at least 5-6 times. But anyway, I'm really glad that this place exists. It's getting harder and harder to find a good place to listen live music in this city. Some tips: *The tickets are always on sale on Biletix but it's also possible to buy them at the entrance. *You can check their website (www.hayalkahvesibeyoglu.com) to learn who's going to play when. *At downstairs you will find Hayal Perdesi to watch theater plays.
