Made an appointment for two full body massages for myself and my partner. We arrived on time, they took us straight away to the room and we prepared. The two massage therapists came in and asked us if we wanted medium or strong pressure and we both said medium. I guess in this instance medium is subjective because it definitely felt stronger than what we both wanted and yes, we told them it was too much pressure. The MT massaging me, was seemingly fixated on my left shoulder pulverized it to the point that it is still sore and uncomfortable as I type this. My partner stated that his MT never even had him turn over and kept them face down the entire massage. When we were done, we managed to get dressed, make it to the front, and pay for that torture session. They offered us a cup of water. No thank you. We paid, tipped the MT's and left. I've been here twice so far--once for a full-body massage and once for a foot massage. I've thoroughly enjoyed both experiences, and in my honest opinion, they are well worth your time and money. I also appreciate that they're open until midnight, making it perfect for some relaxation after a hard day's work and right before bed, if that's what you prefer. One thing that might often go overlooked is how amazing the owner or manager is. I'm not entirely sure if he's the owner, but he's always there--always so pleasant and accommodating, offering tea and snacks. He truly left an impression and added extra points to my review. Today I had the head/scalp massage with my sister. We both enjoyed the spa and services. The spa is very clean, professional and there's relaxing music playing in background. And the staff is welcoming and friendly. One piece of advice for the staff is to tell the client what to expect in the spa room and explain next service moments before given using a soft voice. The staff should also "check in" with clients to be sure water and massage is to their liking. Definitely recommend and will come back again. read more

booked a double service (head & scalp massage plus a full body massage for one hour) and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. The head and scalp massage was uncomfortable and far from relaxing. The therapist was rough, loud, and used products that left my blonde hair dry and tangled. Instead of handling it professionally, she laughed when she saw my hair in that condition. The body massage was even worse. I requested a relaxation massage but was given an extremely painful deep tissue massage. Despite asking five times for lighter pressure, the therapist ignored me, laughed, and continued being rough. His hands were dry and scratchy, he barely used any oil, and at no point did he check if I was comfortable. Overall, there was absolutely no consideration for customer preferences or comfort. To make matters worse, after tipping 20%, neither therapist even said thank you. Very unprofessional, poor customer service, and I would not recommend this place read more

I'm from LA where Foot Spa's are a "thing", I've tried dozens of spas all over the country. Seven Joy is amazing! It is spotless, well appointed and nicely decorated. Its so clean, the guy sprayed my already clean feet with a spritz of alchohol before he started the massage. (love) Everyone was very nice and it is open till Midnight! They offer hot tea, water and a biscuit when you arrive. The hour was mostly spent on my feet, and it might have been the best foot massages I've ever had. EVER. (I left feeling like I had new feet) My only comment is - in LA and Manhatten there is usually a little bit of time spent on arms, hands and the head. However this foot massage was so f'ing good, I feel bad missing the head rub. I noticed Seven Joy does offer an hour long Head Massage, so maybe that's why... ?? I've only tried one other Foot spa on Staten Island, which also gave a great massage, (the head rub was amazing) and the staff was very friendly, but the spa itself was not as clean and nice. :( I will defintely come back to Seven Joy Spa. :) (My only other comment is to the obnoxious boombatz's walking in loudly. I was there late, and it wasn't that busy. But a few loud dumbasses came in. FYI its a REALXING MASSAGE SPA facility. BE QUIET! What a relaxing experience for a reasonable price! Very clean facility. The head treatment was amazing - included a thorough washing, partial body massage and facial mask! Only feedback would be to mention the availability of snacks; we arrived a bit early and were taken right away. My husband & I visited Seven Joy Spa for an hour foot reflexology treatment last Saturday. Our therapist's, Bili and Nancy were attentive, focused, and provided one of the best reflexology experiences we have ever had. We appreciated that we received a wonderful neck, back, & shoulder massage while our feet soaked. We left the spa feeling relaxed and just fantastic! Today my husband and I walked in to have 1hr head and 1 hr foot message. Be honest, at beginning I told the worker my headache were on two sides, but she didn't focus on my pain area, scratching or pressing other area that didn't need, then I told and pointed the area that I wanted her to work on. She was good at working at the area. I didn't like the message method pulling hair or pressing down with the palm because my pain area was in a circle area like a size quarter, I kept pointing it out, finally she got to it, then time was out. My dissatisfaction was not the worker. Just little needed to listen to customers more. My problem was the female front desk altitude, not warm, she acted like not welcoming. Also when we finished to pay, we paid cash， paid 25% and 22% of service for tips to workers, none of them 4 people not even said thank you. I am not sure how much tips they were expecting. I went in for a scalp treatment and full body massage. Firstly, they did not ask me for gender preference over the phone, so I thought they might've asked me in person. They did not ask me once I arrived if I preferred a female or a male. A woman escorted me to BOTH of my services so I assumed that she would be my massage therapist. She performed the scalp treatment, which was lovely and she did a great job. However, the room for the scalp treatments is not soundproof or has a solid wall, and you can hear everything in the other room. for the first 20 minutes of the treatment, there were women in the other room talking extremely loudly, laughing, and chatting. I couldn't hear the music or anything over how loud they were. At this point, the woman was already shampooing my head... it was hard for me to fully relax and enjoy the treatment as it was so noisy. After 20 minutes one of the managers I believe told them to keep it quiet, as this is a spa and not a cafe, which helped... I just wish they would've said something to them sooner because it was very disruptive to the entire establishment. You should be mindful of your other clients. After the treatment, the woman escorted me to the massage room and gave me shorts to put on, which I put on and took off my top and bra as instructed. Since she escorted me to my room, I thought she would be my massage therapist. I got ready on the table, and then a man asked if I was ready which I said yes and then he came in. He then proceeded to start the massage. I was very confused... Then during the massage he focused a lot on my glutes. I've gotten full body massages before, so massaging the glutes isn't totally abnormal, so I assumed it was ok... then the massage therapist proceeded to PULL MY SHORTS AND UNDERWEAR DOWN to the middle of my butt, leaving half my BARE BUTT fully exposed to him. He did not ask if he could pull my shorts down, he just did it. after he pulled it down, he asked "is this ok?" I said no, it needs to be higher. He proceeded to lift it about an inch. I was still partially exposed, so I just grabbed the drawstring of the shorts and pulled them up to completely cover my butt. He then giggled and said "sorry". I'm not new to massages. Every massage i've had in the past, if they want to lower your underwear or shorts or undergarments, they always ask for consent. Nobody asked me for permission or consent to pull down my underwear. I've also worked at a spa in the past. This behavior is unacceptable. I got a massage because I was going through a very stressful time and wanted to relax. Instead, I felt anxious, violated, and nervous during my experience. read more

The staff were kind and professional, and the massage was amazing I felt all the tension in my body melt away.Everything from the lighting to the soothing music made it easy to unwind. As soon as you walk in to this place you are immediately relaxed. The spa music and aesthetics are very soothing. I had the most amazing treatment. The head treatment works on not just your head, but your face, neck and shoulders. I went in there with a nagging sinus headache and walked out floating on air, pain free.
