I used to come all the time due to straining myself and being on my feet a lot at work. It was a great deal that does the job. Their massages are strong no matter who you go to. I come here for the foot massage. It's an amazing deal, $28 for 1 hour. The foot massage area is in the back with 4-5 lounge type chairs. You can walk in and they always have someone available usually. It may be a struggle because of language barriers here, mostly everyone speaks Mandarin here and very limited English. You start off soaking your feet. Then they ask you if you want to do your back for 15 mins. They do an amazing job in those 15 mins. It can be more effective than an hour back massage that I get at other places. Whenever I have any knots, they get it right out. Then they will start on your feet and legs after. Do not expect that this while be some gentle rub. Foot reflexology is meant to work out the muscles and relieve the most painful parts. My job calls for me to be on my feet for 13 hours sometimes, so it is usually painful because my calves are so tight and parts of my feet hurt. Afterwards, it feels nice and loose and like I'm a brand new person. For $28, it gets the job done. Don't forget to tip! Recently they've started to suggest tip at $15 minimum, but that may be due to many people not tipping adequately. That part is a bit of a turn off to me, but won't stop me from coming. This place smells like an ashtray, it can be loud in here, it can be hard to communicate with your masseuse, but their massages are spot on. I've also tried their back massages, it's cheap and does the job but certainly not relaxing due to the commotion everywhere and simple curtain partitions between the back massage space. Come at your own risk but don't expect any frills or anything fancy.

I promise you this, it's not a place for happy endings the dirty kind. But you will leave satisfied. The reason I know this is because my family and friends come here all the time. It's a one stop shop for dirt cheap. Hair salon, nail salon and body and foot massage in one place. They have private rooms for couples massage or an open style with some sort of separation. You'll have enough privacy. You can choose to get a thai style massage for $25 and did I mention that includes your choice of a facial or an oil treatment too, all this for an HOUR! They also offer foot and upper body massage for $28 for an hour also. Best deal in brooklyn!! It's a clean establishment ran by friendly people. The clients are primarily Asian, but the secret is getting out and I'm seeing a lot more diversity. I come at least once a month and I love it. So great to relax here.

Needed a place to relieve the knots on my shoulders and to relieve sciatica that suddenly developed. I stumbled upon tai shuong and decided to give it a try. This review is for ms. Wong (I think that's her name) Pros - the lady who gave me the massage was incredibly meticulous and talented. -I told her about my trouble areas and she put a lot of emphasis on it. -she was attentive and asked if what she did was painful or okay. -she incorporated a Thai massage where she was stepping on my back. I am honestly quite fascinated- by this as I've never had it before. -she performed some chiropractic work on my back so my lumbar/sacral spine area popped to relieve pressure -added pressure on the right places to reduce sciatic pain and numbness. -did a variety of techniques that opened up my hips -very professional and definitely knows what she's doing. Cons -there was way too much talking outside. I could hear men and women speaking loudly and even a baby crying. I noticed the rooms were separated by walls that don't meet the ceiling so you can hear everything in the hallways and the room next to you. Very unpleasant. -the door to my room had a window that was covered by a thin and see through chiffon. As I was undressed during the massage, there were some arms techniques used that I was sure, I was exposed. I didn't appreciate how there were men's voices right outside my door.

For the full-body massage, they'll have you change into a pair of elastic shorts (common for Thai massage - I bring my own loose yoga shorts) and take your top off.
