Lots of Parking space when we arrived around 11-12nn but does have entrance fee of $10 per car and $10 per adult as of June 2026. Area is very well kempt and beach is clean. Restrooms are available as well as a shower/rinsing area. There is a limited food option from the concession area and there isnt a "boardwalk" so you just enjoy the beach and playground within the vicinity. the playground though is amazing! its quite clean and i love that they have shaded areas to sit and relax. The play areas itself has no shade at all though so can get quite hot. Some porta potties available. read more

It's that time of the year again! The Garden State Parkway is flooded with cars driving down to the Jersey Shore all summer long. Seven Presidents Oceanfront Park is one of my favorite destinations for an enjoyable beach day. If you prefer a quieter and more peaceful type of beach experience, this is the right place for you. Hours are from 8AM-9:30PM. Guarded swimming is from 10AM-5PM. Admission is $10 per person and parking is $10 per vehicle. While this price may seem hefty for some, I think it's worth it. They have a huge parking lot with immediate walking access to the beach. You won't have to worry about finding street parking like many other Jersey beaches. Anyone ages 17 and under get free entry. Military and veterans (including their spouse and children) get free admission and parking. I wish they provided a discount for senior citizens. After 5pm, it's free for all individuals. What I love the most about this beach is how clean and quiet it is. You can tell that the park rangers take very good care of it. There isn't any trash laying around and the sand is clean. It's never overly crowded, so there's plenty of space to lay around. Most patrons are respectful and well behaved. They don't provide chair or umbrella service, so you have to bring your own. No, the water isn't completely crystal clear..... lol but as of lately, it's been looking a lot more blue, clearer, and prettier :-) There are designated areas for surfing. Waves can be rough and high tide is no joke, so don't sink okayyyyy. There are bathrooms and showers available. Other than the beach, there's a large playground, skateplex, and volleyball areas. The only major con is that there's not much else to do. There isn't a boardwalk, so you won't have access to a lot of food, bars, shops, and entertainment. They have one food/snack pavilion that offers your traditional greasy American fare - burgers, hot dogs, chicken tenders, etc. Breakfast bagels and sandwiches are served until 11AM. There are plenty of picnic tables and umbrellas around to enjoy your food. If you want more of a food scene, the Long Branch Pier Village is literally a 3-5 minute drive away. What a great family, friendly beach. As others have mentioned, there is a parking lot right on site with immediate access to the beach for only $10 per vehicle. And $10 more per adult. If you have a car full of kids it's a great deal. Unlike many other of the jersey beaches that do not have food without a big boardwalk this one has a concession stand where you can grab snacks, ice cream, burgers, fries etc. Also showers and bathrooms. There is also a playground area however at this point it has been torn down as they are revamping it. You can also choose to sit closer to the hotels which are down towards the right where you can take advantage of the staff walking around selling alcoholic beverages to sip on for the beachgoers. However, the main part of the beach is super quiet with no riffraff and loud music blasting. Just families and friends enjoy enjoying company and the water. I did not notice any trash in the sand or in the ocean, which is a huge plus. Lifeguards were very on top of it as when we went a couple of days ago there was a strong current, and people kept getting swept off to the side of the flags. My friend and I ended up at Seven Presidents Oceanfront Park on a whim and were so impressed! The park offered a clean and quiet beach with several beach volleyball nets. Its pristine boardwalk was perfect for long walks with great views, and it even had several bathroom buildings. There was a decent amount of metered parking spots, as well as some paid lots. One section of the boardwalk, at the northern end of Seven Presidents (aka "Pier Village"), had loads of shopping, nice restaurants, and beach bars. We could not have asked for much more! read more

This is one of my favorite beaches to visit during the summer (with kids.) The reason why I like it so much is because you don't have to fight for parking, kids enter free, and there are restrooms and a food court, as well as a playground right near the beach entrance. I feel like the beach itself is less crowded than others in the area and it's always been super clean every time that I've gone. It's 10$ to park and 10$ per adult. I'm a creature of habit . Same beach same spot every summer for 28 years at Ocean Grove ! at the behest of my brother i came here today for first time . LOVED IT !!! Maybe it was because it was 82 , no humidity ? Not a cloud in the sky ? Wasn't full ? Close parking ? Nice crowd .. it seemed like the stars aligned . Or there was no rough water break at the shore line to push you down you can easily walk into the crystal clear water . In NJ !?!? a huge sand bar to sit and relax Only neg was you pay for entrance and parking . I've never paid for parking at jersey shore . Love this beach, have gone here a lot in the past. We went last night, you didn't have to pay if you go after hours and there are no lifeguards. I don't remember having to pay an entrance fee, except for parking which was $10, which is why we used to go there but now you have to pay per person unless it's after hours. Beautiful, clean beach! I love that there is a parking lot right in front, so no lugging your beach gear blocks and blocks or circling to look for parking. There is a concession stand with plenty of tables, so you don't have to wander far looking for a bite to eat if you don't come prepared. Prices seemed reasonable. My friend and I went with our little girls and they had a blast. My advice is to go during the week, like we did. I'm sure that changes the experience from going on the very crowded weekends. And Long Branch is the closer shore destination, so you don't have to worry about such a long drive (from North Jersey) read more

I really enjoy this part of Long Branch. It is the beginning of the Long Branch Boardwalk and it is quite attractive. This park gets it's name from the seven presidents that either resided here or vacationed here during the summer; Ulysses S. Grant, Rutherford B. Hayes, James Garfield, Chester Arthur, William McKinley, Benjamin Harrison, and Woodrow Wilson. The residents here are friendly and it is pet friendly. Parking is good regardless if you come in the off-season or not. But I enjoy coming here pretty much anytime I get the opportunity. An Update: Our favorite beach. Now $8/person + $10 parking until Labor Day, then free. Yelp hours are wrong: Park opens 8 am during summer season when fees apply. Lifeguards, 10am to 5 pm. 10x cleaner and nicer facilities than Island Beach State Park (a shameful dump) and National Sandy Hook. Monmouth County Parks does a good job keeping the beach raked each morning and the pavilion clean. No booze or tobacco. Outdoor showers and indoor changing room. Overall clean. Small Gripe: No Senior Citizen Discount Tip I: Parking is full early on weekends. So arrive early. Tip II: Offers season passes with Senior Citizen discount. Active military and retired military with ID is free Tip III: Because the walk to the beach is long if you are carrying usual stuff, recommend either a Mac Sports all-terrain collapsible beach wagon, or RIO Wonder Wheeler (what we use). Final Tip: Strictly follow speed signs. And obey crosswalks. These local shore towns need to raise a lot of money in short time. Don't be a victim. Arriving from the North, I prefer to arrive via Route 36. Slow but steady drive, and less congestion and delay. PS I've traveled much of the world, and still prefer the wave action of the Jersey shore...especially August and early Sept when water is warm. read more

What a lovely little spot on the NJ Coast! I'm a Seaside Park girl, but I know Long Branch is often the first real 'shore spot' on the Parkway. I can understand why so many people stop here - it's a beautiful, scenic beach. I had no idea this even existed, and I came here with a friend on Saturday. It's like a MINI version of Island Beach State Park. There is parking, bathrooms, showers, and a food stand - perfect if you have kids or a family. Upon walking onto the beach early in the morning, we saw frogs, chipmunks, and super cool months, plus dolphins in the water. We went on a cloudy day, with the occasional shower, so it wasn't too crowded. However, this place is on the smaller side, so I can see how it fills up quickly. Also, it is more cost effective for a family or multiple people. For me, visiting here by myself, it was 18 dollars - that's parking and admission. Costly for one person, but for a family, extremely reasonable. read more

Cash only entry to the park, $8 per adult and $10 for parking. Parking does full up in the summer but they do re-open the lot once enough spaces come free. There is a larger pavilion to the North side/right at Jolene avenue exit. The smaller to the straight way at Jolene is a bathroom and wash station. Beach itself has a large area for the blue mat down to the sand and the beach has various small shells and stones, though most notably on the day we went there were a ton of mussels being washed up on the beach along with some algae. Small areas covered by the life guards and they are vigilant in warning folks about throwing sand and swimming outside those bounds. The snack bar is at the larger pavilion and the showers and bathrooms were large enough to accommodate the crowd that day. No boardwalk. They give you small tickets per person to show that you paid (including one for the car). I do agree with Jim B., though, the worst part was the traffic here. The small two-lane road through the suburbs meant a lot of stop/go/slow as people turn off onto roads and hit almost every stoplight. My wife and I arrived at about 8:00 am, paid the fee to the pleasant attendant, found a close parking spot, and five minutes later sunbathing. This is a no-brainer...one of the best beaches on the Jersey coast. The water is still somewhat chilly in early July but still nice and refreshing. Ever since i moved back from Florida my friends told me I have to go to 7 Presidents Beach in Long Branch NJ. Well, I finally did. Parkway South to exit 105 that wasn't a bad ride. Where the problem starts is when you want to get off the exit. This backs up for miles and miles and miles.I mean were talking 9:30a in the morning on a friday not even a weekend. Light, after light, after light after light. It took a good 30-40 minutes to get to the beach once off the exit because there are too many lights and trucks and there is only one lane in some places all the way down. It's like a Saturday morning ride down to LBI bumper to bumper. Once there i paid 21 for two adults and parking. That was great! Kids under 17 free.Plenty of parking on a nice grass lot. Volleyball nets right as you walk in. Concession stand and bathrooms and then your on the beach. The beach is really nice and clean, surrounded by two sets of jetty's.This beach does have lifeguards on duty 9-5p. It has protected wildlife (sea turtle nesting) so a good portion at one end is roped off. This makes the beach more narrow so you will find people sitting one on top of the other. If this isn't your bag i suggest you skip this beach entirely. As a matter of fact, if you don't like traffic i suggest driving a little further south, say the 30 minutes you would wait in line in traffic , and instead drive to Point Pleasant Beach. (Jenkinsons) It's much bigger, and the beach isn't as far from the exit. There is also a boardwalk and showers. Leaving 7 Presidents Beach is exactly the same. Bumper to bumper traffic all the way back to the parkway. It took forever! I've been to a lot of beaches around the country, and I still say that Jersey beaches are the best. Seven Presidents is a great spot for a quick day trip, it has snack bar, bathrooms, showers and changing areas. Beach is generally clean, and it is huge, so even on the most crowded days, there is space to spread out. There is a large parking lot, and entry fees are reasonable. One downside to Jersey beaches is that most require you to pay for a badge to get on, but In most cases it is worth the cost. read more

Long Branch is a convenient beach spot for North and Central NJ folks, and this seems to be one of the few spots where you can reach the beach if you're not staying at a nearby hotel or rental home. There's a playground for kids split in two sections 2-5yrs and 5-11yrs. I guess the rest of us have outgrown swings. Boo. Lifeguards are present during peak summer hours. Snack bar, bathrooms and outdoor shower heads all located between the parking lot and beach itself. I wish there were a few showers inside the bath house to allow for a better de-sanding experience, but that's nothing big to worry about. There seems to be plenty of parking, though those that have done summertime shore trips know there is never really enough parking. Amazing beach! Went at around 11 on a Saturday and had no issue finding a spot. Very family oriented, there are no crazy drunk people or loud music which is a BIG plus for me. People are respectful! Parking is $8 and $8 per adult, kids are free and parking is very easy to find on the lot. There are spots with shower access to wash off sand and a little food court that serves burgers,fries...ect, they also sell sunscreen and water toys as well in case you forget anything! Beach is much shorter due to erosion yet they charge more. $26 for 1 car and two adults. As soon as we parked it began to rain and the lifeguards swiftly threw everyone off the beach. They did not allow anyone to renter the beach. When asked for a refund or a pass to use next time the manager stated they do not allow refunds. Went to seven Presidents Park on Sunday we did not realize how many people would be there. We were parked almost to the street. It was so far away from the beach walkway and bathrooms. There was no handicapped parking available. We did find a parking place closer as I was walking toward beach. There were porta potties for handicapped and normal people at the corner .You had to climb up stairs then down. Their were lifeguards . I would definitely get there when the park opens for the weekend. We didn't get there till 10:15 am , and we left at 2:45. I did not get food or see skate park. Went with several other ladies and our kids, I did not care for it, they did. First the good. Great partking, close to beach if you get there early. Not far walk from lot to beach and ocean. They have a plastic walkway on the sand which is great for people with wheel carts. The bad. First the bathrooms. Nasty. We arrived 9 am and beach had been open since 8. Two toilets someone did number 2 no flush. 3rd toilet, women can be really nasty creatures who once a month need to learn to flush. Considering the conditions only 2 of 5 stalls could be used and clearly had not been cleaned from night / day before. Second, the snack stand. We went at lunch and the supervisor made all the employees stop and listen. 30 people on line busy as heck and she starts berating this Asian girl for losing an order. Which had not been lost, another person kept trying to interrupt her to tell her nasty bitchy self that it had been filled. Supervisor then got uppity with myself and my friend when we had the nerve to ask why the lettuce and tomato was $4.50 on our bill. She kept saying and yelling the veggies cost extra. Yes you idiot, but menu says $0.50, not $4.50. Then she gives us the money back and we're like, you overcharged fries too. "I already gave you your $4.50 back!" Ridiculous. Third, the beach, was crowded by 9 am. Ok, its Northern NJ and a day trip, but it was crowded even by those standards. I hate being that close to people. Lastly the sand itself "drops" as you approach the ocean. And some folks lay right in that drop and you practically fall right on them trying to get to the ocean, its nuts. I won't return. read more

If you are going to this beach (just like any other beach) if you are going on a weekend ARRIVE EARLY. We got there at 12:30 and absolutely no parking. Beach wasn't completely over packed (I've seen worse) but parking is horrendous if you have to park outside of the park. (We came on a Tuesday before and there was plenty of parking) Surf is very rough at this location. Not the parks fault but it's geographical location does something to the waves here. The first time we went here the surf wasn't as bad but the second time the water was borderline unsafe. I would blame a storm if there was one close by but seeing as though other reviewers have commented on the same thing I assume it's just the location of the beach itself. Concession stand was overpriced. Bathrooms and showers were decent and convenient. No complaints other than I really wish they had a longer walkway onto the beach for people with strollers and such.
