My friend and I ended up at Seven Presidents Oceanfront Park on a whim and were so impressed! The park offered a clean and quiet beach with several beach volleyball nets. Its pristine boardwalk was perfect for long walks with great views, and it even had several bathroom buildings. There was a decent amount of metered parking spots, as well as some paid lots. One section of the boardwalk, at the northern end of Seven Presidents (aka "Pier Village"), had loads of shopping, nice restaurants, and beach bars. We could not have asked for much more!

I'm a creature of habit . Same beach same spot every summer for 28 years at Ocean Grove ! at the behest of my brother i came here today for first time . LOVED IT !!! Maybe it was because it was 82 , no humidity ? Not a cloud in the sky ? Wasn't full ? Close parking ? Nice crowd .. it seemed like the stars aligned . Or there was no rough water break at the shore line to push you down you can easily walk into the crystal clear water . In NJ !?!? a huge sand bar to sit and relax Only neg was you pay for entrance and parking . I've never paid for parking at jersey shore . But then again i didn't waste time & gas driving around to find a stop . The promenade wasn't as close as i am use to Ocean Grove to great restaurants in Asbury park . 20-25 min walk . I'd go back

Has a playground, wash area, restroom for both genders, food area, vending machines and lifeguards who are only upto 5pm. If you are an aviation fan. You can do plane spotting here for planes landing in jfk.

I really enjoy this part of Long Branch. It is the beginning of the Long Branch Boardwalk and it is quite attractive. This park gets it's name from the seven presidents that either resided here or vacationed here during the summer; Ulysses S. Grant, Rutherford B. Hayes, James Garfield, Chester Arthur, William McKinley, Benjamin Harrison, and Woodrow Wilson. The residents here are friendly and it is pet friendly. Parking is good regardless if you come in the off-season or not. But I enjoy coming here pretty much anytime I get the opportunity. It is also not too far from several good places to eat, a major plus for foodies like me. Come and enjoy a few hours here.

My wife and I arrived at about 8:00 am, paid the fee to the pleasant attendant, found a close parking spot, and five minutes later sunbathing. This is a no-brainer...one of the best beaches on the Jersey coast. The water is still somewhat chilly in early July but still nice and refreshing. Hint...let's not forget the boogie board.

Good beach near NY. Nice life guards. Family atmosphere. Great concession, bathrooms, showers and parking. $26 for two adults, two kids (17 and under). Lots of hotels a few miles away.

Really nice facilities, right on the beach.

ENTRANCE This is a Monmouth County park. Weekday admission fees are $7 for individuals 18 years old and over; those 17 and under are free. On weekends and holidays, the fee is $7 for individuals 13 and over; those 12 and under are free. The cost of a daily parking pass is $7. CASH ONLY. Before you balk at the parking, read on. PARKING/FACILITIES If you arrive early, you just might park mere yards from the very nice food/potty building; even if you don't, the worst parking isn't THAT far away. There is nearby street parking, which is either free or metered (not sure). Two sets of outdoor showers. Right on the beach. Unlike other beaches, changing areas are provided so you don't have to get nekid in your car. Food is typical beach fare: fries, water, pretzels, etc. There are a few places within walking distance (e.g., Windmill hotdogs). Other facilities include a skateplex and an award-winning playground (Tony's Place). PEOPLE Predominantly families and a global demographic - I heard English, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese(?), Russian, Hindi, Klingon, and more. Amazingly, for a northern NJ beach, the scumbag factor is generally at or darn near zero. I didn't hear any cursing, see anyone litter, hear blaring music, etc. A few bathers need some fashion advice, but that's about it. BEACH Like most northern NJ beaches, there's a moderate slope into the water. Sand can be hot (duh). Water is usually wet. ;^) OTHER STUFF TO DO The day we went there was a nice Jazz/Blues festival just 1/2 mile south (we walked); check to see what's in town before you go. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seven_Presidents_Park

Except for the pot smokers, this park is great! Nice view of the ocean. On a clear day, you can see NYC Skyline.
