My flowers were beautiful!!!!!! My experience with Seven Stems was awesome. I highly recommend using Seven Stems for floral and event design. I originally contacted Marisa to do the floral for my wedding. After my first phone call with Marisa I knew she was my girl. She was so friendly and was on the phone with me for over an hour going through flowers on Pinterest to get a feel for my taste and what look I was trying to achieve, and I hadn't even booked her yet! The time and care she put into that very first phone call made me confident that she really wanted to do her best to understand and achieve the look I wanted. As the months went by, we had many conversations about flowers via the phone and email. She was always patient with me when I would change my mind on the flowers I wanted to use. I'm a very detail oriented person and the flowers were very important to me and a big part of my wedding so I really wanted them to be gorgeous but without breaking the bank. Marisa was very workable with our budget and was always willing to suggest, but never pushed any ideas on me. I really liked this because some vendors can be pushy on what THEY think you should do, I did not have this whatsoever working with Seven Stems. About 5 months before my wedding I realized I needed help on the wedding set-up and design. After Marisa sent me the quote on her package of services I immediately booked her for event design/set-up as well. Marisa did the entire set-up and breakdown for my wedding and ran the whole event, and my goodness was it gorgeous! Michelle did the floral design/set-up and it was beautiful!!! I was so in love with my flowers. I still have my bouquet in the fridge to preserve it as long as possible (1 month later), embarrassing, but true! In terms of the event design and set-up, Marisa was very organized, making everything go so smoothly, and as a bride this was very important. In the weeks leading up to the wedding, she went over the timeline with me numerous times to make sure it was how I wanted it. Marisa was so patient with me even when I would change something on set-up and stress over the littlest things.. She took all of the stress off of me so I didn't have to worry about anything and I could just enjoy my wedding day. We saw a demo of a Seven Stems wedding and thought it would've been perfect for ours so we reached out to them. We scheduled a meeting with them and they completely stood us up. Marisa apologized and we scheduled another meeting with her which she made - which was not a problem. We told her our strict budget and she took 3 weeks to get a quote back to us which was double our original budget. I was referred to Seven Stems from a co-worker who used Marisa for her wedding. I reached out to her back in February to discuss what my floral wishes were and Marisa seemed like she would be able to give me exactly what I desired and within the budget I explicitly told her I couldn't budge from. I had high hopes that this was all going to work out as she had taken the time to view my Pinterest board, add suggestions, etc. She told me she couldn't provide me an exact proposal until I sent her pictures of the center pieces I planned to use. Fair. I went down to my venue the first weekend of March and sent photos of the centerpieces I selected. She was prompt to respond with suggestions and photos of how to best decorate the table. I love it. Again, high hopes that all was going well. She told me it would be 3 weeks to get a proposal. 3 weeks? I've never heard of such a thing but I obliged as she reassured me I had plenty of time and at this point I was pretty confident she was going to be my florist. Fast forward to 3 weeks. I ask her if I will have the proposal by Friday. She says yes but that it would be "late" in the evening. No problem I said. Saturday morning when I woke up and checked my email there was no proposal to be found. I received a text at 9:30 a.m Saturday morning saying she had emailed my proposal last night and to ask her if I had any questions... That's when the bad taste in my mouth began. No proposal was sent the night before; I checked. So I didn't mention anything and kindly asked her to resend; I received the proposal immediately. Weird. Now here's "the straw that broke the camels back"... When I received the proposal is was almost DOUBLE what I explained to her my budget was and the proposal didn't even include the cost of flowers for my flower girls because my plans for those were still undecided. I was blown away. I told her I needed to talk to my fiancé as the proposal was way more than I expected. Her response was that I could cut cost by removing some of the flowers on my arch (ok, fair enough) and that I could remove the garland from down the aisle... What's funny is that the garland down the aisle was NEVER included in the proposal (Although, I had requested garland). So, your suggestion to helping me cut costs is to remove the flowers that you never included in the proposal to begin with??? Hmmm, doesn't make sense. When I told her the garland wasn't even mentioned in the quote she just sort of skirted around the issue. Not to mention there was a miscalculation on the price for my center pieces as well; a poorly drafted proposal that I'm sure took no longer than an hour (and I'm being generous) to put together. What a waste of almost 8 weeks of planning. Now it's off to find another florist. Bummer because I really had high hopes for Seven Stems! Marisa seemed like she was going to be great but the discrepancies in my proposal and costs along with the poor business acumen sent me running the other way. If you're a bride who has plenty of time to wait on proposals and has flexibility in your budget then Seven Stems might be a good choice for you but if you are looking for someone who is going to respect your budget and provide you with timely communication then I suggest you look elsewhere. read more

My experience with Seven Stems Florist was a great one. This was a very important event since it was my wedding. I searched for a while to find a florist and this one was a referral from my venue. They set up an initial consultation and helped me choose a combination of flowers that would look nice with my sea theme. As the event got closer I needed to add an additional table. They helped me moved the flowers around without over extending my budget and reassuring me that it would took perfect. When my wedding day came they even met me prior to the actual ceremony with my flower bouquet, grooms and wedding party flowers since it was important to have these for photos. Marisa was recommended to me by a relative. Even before I officially booked her, she was extremely helpful and answered every question I had. I only had to explain/show my vision for my wedding flowers once at my first consultation, and come the day of the wedding they exceeded my expectations. My daughter was referred to Seven Stems for her wedding floral arrangements and then Marisa said she could also provide the wedding coordination service. The ceremony was October 17th in Temecula. We live in Burbank, so it was critical to have a good wedding coordinator. The Floral arrangements were incredible, but as others have already posted on this I am going to comment on the wedding coordination. Marisa was 100% in tune and responsive with everything my daughter wanted, and was constantly checking from the time of the rehearsal the day before right up until the end of the wedding. Recently my company (Three16 Photography) worked a wedding with Marisa and the Seven Stems team to which we were pleasantly surprised. Our couple had booked Seven Stems for their florals, decor and day of coordination. First just let me saw I have worked with many wedding coordinators and I'm often nervous of working with people I don't know as I have seen horrible coordinators before. Thankfully with Seven Stems this was not the case. Throughout the day they were their to help our couple with all the expected and unexpected moments.
