Kiyoko also made changes here and there as our wedding got closer and sent updated proposals along the way. She also handled delivering the flowers to us for getting ready while also delivering the flowers to the Church, and after that, the reception venue. Kiyoko did a beautiful job on our wedding flowers. Her flowers fit our style and our budget! I have to admit flowers were not the biggest concern for our wedding and I didn't really know the exact types that I wanted. When we met with Kiyoko for a consultation she was able to come up with ideas based on the style of our wedding, colors I liked, and my dress (and bridesmaids). She was able to get in-season, local flowers and succulents for all of our wedding pieces. Our wedding was at JRDN restaurant overlooking the ocean, so we chose to keep very simple centerpieces to accent the ocean views. She did an amazing job with turquoise glass vases (she provided as a rental). She also was able to build a simple Chuppah for us and adorned it with the most beautiful flowers that matched our bouquets. They were definitely the high-light of our ceremony. She was able to come up with ideas based on photos that I e-mailed her for the Chuppah. She was good at communicating and made sure we stretched our budget the best that we could. I was impressed with what she was able to put together for less than $1500 for an entire wedding! Not only that, she is a very nice person to work with. I was completely blown away by how the flowers turned out and was literally speechless when I saw our archway and the bouquets for the girls. The centerpieces were all absolutely breathtaking as well - we did slightly different sets of centerpieces and "re-used" flowers from the ceremony for the reception which saved us a BUNCH of money - it also made each table look a little unique and I cannot express how amazing it all turned out. My cascade bouquet was a stunner, as were my bridesmaids' bouquets. It seemed like everywhere I looked, there were flowers- which I loved. We had no idea where to start when we were looking for a wedding florist. We were surprised when we learned how much wedding florals cost and knew we wanted to keep it to a "smaller" budget but also really set a beautiful scene. Kiyoko is just amazing! She has such a wonderful, creative eye. Everything she did was so phenomenal that they have yet to concept a word that truly encapsulates how beautiful everything was. We had a destination wedding at the Japanese Friendship Garden in Balboa Park and was facing the challenge of finding someone I could trust from over 300 miles away. I saw her work in a magazine and immediately looked her up. The pictures alone had me contacting her to set up an appointment. In person, Kiyoko is simply one of the nicest people I've ever met! She sat down with us and listened as we told her about our wedding ideas. When we were done, she began throwing ideas together and showing us concept pictures that were exactly as we had pictured (modern, unique).
