Over the last 2 weeks, I began hearing weird noises in my kitchen. I initially thought it was the ice maker, but then became concerned that it was something else. When I came home from work today, I saw a mouse run from underneath my refrigerator to underneath my stove. Mind you, I am a very CLEAN individual (slightly OCD when it comes to cleanliness). When I went to the front office to address my concern, the staff member at the front appeared very irritated. It may have been because I took my dog into the office with me. Although she is a larger breed, I see small dogs in there all the time without an attitude or issue from staff. Maintenance came to my apartment within 15minutes and provided me with 2 sticky mouse traps. About 15-30 minutes after he left, the mouse had been caught. I was initially relieved and thought my issue had been resolved but approximately an hour later, ANOTHER mouse was caught on the 2nd trap. I called the emergency maintenance number and maintenance did come back. I was given 2 more traps and told that pest control would need to be contacted and that they would return the next day. I am now up to 3 mice being caught and one that's still on the loose. When I tried to post about this issue on the resident bulletin, it was immediately taken down twice. Having mice in an apartment is unacceptable!!! I am now waiting to hear back from management in reference to how this issue will be resolved (finding how they are getting in, patching up holes, etc.) and how I can be compensated for this disgusting inconvenience. I have NEVER had an issue with mice in my entire 15yr rental history. There is no excuse!!!

Okay... been living here for a month now…read more They just started their online site to pay your bill and maintenance orders. (Which is a poor service) Dogs are allowed here so the place definitely has a super dog odor. Trash day makes it smell like trash for a couple days which trash day is every Tuesday and Thursday, I do smell trash Tuesday through Friday-Saturday. Then the trash man are super loud every Tuesday/Thursday morning so no sleeping in. Paying for your bill; You can to pay a convenience fee % based off of the amount you are trying to pay online with their convenient online website. Why would you have to pay more money to pay for your bill??? That is crazy.... sigh they will do either money orders or checks. All inconvenient. Maintenance orders; You can place your order online or go to the front desk to ask them? They are pretty good about checking up on any problems with the apartment. Although just moving in there really shouldn't be problems. Such as my carpet was coming up from the floor... Bathroom jacks were not working... Etc Front desk; They are super nice Do their job Friendly Only reason why I didn't give them 1 Star And why I would have gave them 4 if I didn't have so many issues already.

I just need to see it first to believe it, because this issue has got me thinking of moving locations and/or selling my car for a different one. ORIGINAL POST: Great amenities, nice location, kind people working in the on-site rental office. But there is a big issue--garage security is not sufficient for increasing auto theft activity in the area. Since moving here in 2023, my car has been vandalized 3 times, the latest being sometime during the night 6/30/26 when someone broke my window and rifled through my car. 5 other cars (mostly Hondas, Toyotas, Kias, Hyundais) also had tires stolen and/or were broken into. Less than 2 months ago, same deal. Multiple cars broken into and all 4 of my tires were stolen, even though I had wheel locks. There are cameras, but the thieves don't care and it won't stop them. Anne Arundel police are called, but apart from a week of increased police presence in the Towne Centre, things go back to normal. Unfortunately, the convenient location is what makes it so easy for criminals to drive right off the highway, hit all the local parking lots in minutes, and drive away into the sunset with your car parts. The amount of apartment parking in such proximity makes it like shooting fish in a barrel to these auto part thieves. ANYONE can get into the garage and pretty easily lift / break the gate to get into the basement. You can do everything right, like parking under lights, directly under the cameras, away from street level, have wheel locks, and it will not deter these criminals. Until Crosswinds heightens security or has an overnight on-site presence solely for their garage, you might want to think twice about moving here if you have a Toyota, Honda, Kia, or Hyundai. For the rent prices, you might not want the repeated hassle.

The apartments are well made and have modern appliances. Many stores are just steps away and you just can't ask for more convenience. Great location with plenty of nice stores and shopping nearby. Luxury amenities, like the gym, sky lounge, and pool are very nice everything is well kept and clean. Management seems like they actually care, they pay attention and respond in a timely manner. Maintenance responds to requests almost immediately or the day after. I would 10/10 recommend this to a friend. One thing they can improve is their parking garage, by adding a gate, and more cameras, it would be much safer but compared to other communities where they don't even have a garage and it's all just open outdoor parking, this is pretty good. Also I think they should restrict certain dog breeds if they don't already, I've seen some pretty big dogs around. Most of their problems are just typical and what you should expect for any apartment; like the risk of your car being broken into, noisy neighbors, or maintenance having to come update things randomly. Those are just givens with living in an apartment community. But overall this place was amazing and I would do it all over again if I could! Wish I could've stayed longer.

She was genuinely happy for us when we moved out because we bought a house. Our apartment was beautiful, and I loved the huge windows. It had a lot of space for the price. The bedroom closet was enormous. I also liked the amazon hub locker on the property that made package deliveries convenient and safe. I never had any issue with parking, there was always extra space close to my building. The pool is nice, it gets cleaned once each week in the summer. Maintenance is usually fast. Only bug issue was ants on the second (out of three) summers we were there. They came in when the window was open and as someone who hates ants it was a really, very minor invasion and contained to the window area. Elm's offered free pest control services. They had people come and spray our windows the next day on both occasions that I called that season. All of the windows were updated in fall 2023 so it may not even be an issue anymore. I really hate bugs, so this was huge for me that there weren't pests besides the one summer with ants and it was taken care of before it became a problem. We didn't lose power often or for long, and maintenance arrived within an appropriate amount of time depending on the urgency of the matter. There were options available for emergency maintenance services too. Once, my hamster escaped her cage and got into the maintenance closet and subsequently the walls. She ended up in the walls of the apartment below ours as they reported hearing scratching from a rodent in their walls. Maintenance opened a hole in their wall to investigate but when they saw it was a hamster, they remembered my call from a week prior about my hamster getting lost and they brought her back alive to our apartment. (So sorry to the downstairs neighbors who thought they had mice and had to get maintenance to put a hole in their wall.) Overall, I really enjoyed the time I called this apartment, "home".

No playground, no outdoor sitting area except on the roof - which is windy and hot ( or cold) and dirty.I wish I kept looking for an apartment with amenities like Red Apple has. A playground, pet park, grills, picnic tables, even a bench. There is also no way to let guests up unless they telephone you, then you walk downstairs.

I could sit here and nitpick about little things, but bottom line, having lived in a few locations in Annapolis, I don't think you're likely to find a better apartment in town. As for the little things: the heating and ventilation system in my apartment was a little below average. The fan didn't quite push all the air to the farthest room, resulting in a bedroom that was 10 degrees cooler in winter and 10 hotter in summer. Parking was also sometimes messy. It usually wasn't too bad as long as the neighbors followed the rules, but every now and then some people would take a garage spot they weren't entitled to the night before a snowstorm, betting on the tow truck not showing up. With such a small lot for such a big building, you have to accept you might walk a bit if you get home from work at 7:30. That being said, the management was taking measures as I left to address parking problems, which seemed promising. In conclusion, please refer to paragraph number 2. No place is perfect. Upon arrival the morning of our tour, after a 40 minute drive to the complex, we are told that there are no apartments available to tour. Not even alternative layouts. The woman said she could go over pricing and amenities with us (information that we'd already viewed online). She also remarked "I thought you'd call." Why would we call? We were under the impression our tour was confirmed, per the confirmation email. Very frustrating to have wasted such a large portion of our morning. Needless to say, we won't be rescheduling. If this is suitable communication for prospective residents, I can't imagine the standards for communication with existing residents.
