I've lived here 2 1/2 yrs. and this is my "honest" review. The building is secure and having inside…read moreparking is nice. The leasing office has little gatherings often which promotes communication between neighbors. All of the employees have been very nice and always accommodating. Maintenance tickets are put in for repairs and they come that day or the next. There are no loud parties, children screaming in the hallway or weed smoking. The rent is high. The appliances could be better and toilets could be higher. Pest control is available upon request. I'm on the ground floor. I've had a raccoon sleeping on my balcony, about 6 cockroaches, a few spiders and one mouse. All of which were immediately addressed. Never any infestation or constant problem.

Buyer beware! I used to sing the praises of this complex, but not anymore…read more We moved out less than 30 days ago and I just received an email from debt collectors regarding a $207 balance on our apartment. Less than 30 days!! I went to log in and pay the balance earlier this week, already locked out. Lived there for 3 years, never late on rent, and then this? WTF. Lest I not mention, the elevator in building one is out and has been for some time. They had to move people to other parts of the complex or buy them out of their leases. We had one neighbor with constant rodent issues. I heard numerous complaints from other neighbors regarding the recent snow removal (or lack there of). The gates to the garage are constantly broken. Heather was always a great manager but obviously upper management is BS and pinching pennies. I emplore you, look at private rentals before you try any of these rip off corporate run rentals. As for me...I guess Bell needs this $207 more than I do.

Worst apartment I have ever leased from…read more Unless you want to suffer through extreme noise pollution, frequent Internet outages for days, and having no control over your thermostat and no A/C because the leasing office can and will hijack your Nest thermostat without a cause.......don't live here. Oh and your package is going to be in a room with everyone else's packages left on a shelves. Essentially like a grab and go buffet. The courtyard without the pool side also gets used like a giant dog park a lot. And not everyone will pick up after their dogs. They're simply too good for that! The physical security of the building here is also a joke. The front entrance door is usually propped open for everyone's convenience and the fob doesn't really work all that well. The garage door is wonky too. But out of all grievances I listed, the noise problem is by far the worst aspect of living at Aventon. It's inescapable in such a way that like the previous reviewer stated, the cabinets and toilets will slam, and you can hear just about everything from upstairs. It's absolutely horrible. If you have anxiety, or get startled easily, have anxious rescue digs, DO NOT LIVE HERE. You want to sleep without hearing your upstairs neighbors being busy in bed, watching TV, or talking on the phone and otherwise at 2am, don't live here. In sum, I don't recommend living here despite the rent specials offered or what lobby spectacles you see initially. Lastly, take a look at the leasing agreement carefully. I know I wish I had done my due diligence and said NO! to signing. I know many people probably feels that way and just waiting for their lease to be over here. Maybe not for the 5th floor residents but everyone below would.

The management had a lot…read moreof turnover in the time that I lived there, with the exception of the assistant manager Roxanne. The professionalism of the team never dipped despite all the personnel changes. Whether that's Roxanne's doing, or Bozzuto's training program I can't say. I could sit here and nitpick about little things, but bottom line, having lived in a few locations in Annapolis, I don't think you're likely to find a better apartment in town. As for the little things: the heating and ventilation system in my apartment was a little below average. The fan didn't quite push all the air to the farthest room, resulting in a bedroom that was 10 degrees cooler in winter and 10 hotter in summer. Parking was also sometimes messy. It usually wasn't too bad as long as the neighbors followed the rules, but every now and then some people would take a garage spot they weren't entitled to the night before a snowstorm, betting on the tow truck not showing up. With such a small lot for such a big building, you have to accept you might walk a bit if you get home from work at 7:30. That being said, the management was taking measures as I left to address parking problems, which seemed promising. In conclusion, please refer to paragraph number 2. No place is perfect. In Annapolis, I'm pretty sure this is as close to perfect as you'll find. Thanks Roxanne, Lauren and co. for a great couple of years!

We booked an apartment tour exactly one week in advance, specifying the layouts we'd like to tour,…read moreand received an appointment confirmation email the same day. Upon arrival the morning of our tour, after a 40 minute drive to the complex, we are told that there are no apartments available to tour. Not even alternative layouts. The woman said she could go over pricing and amenities with us (information that we'd already viewed online). She also remarked "I thought you'd call." Why would we call? We were under the impression our tour was confirmed, per the confirmation email. Very frustrating to have wasted such a large portion of our morning. Needless to say, we won't be rescheduling. If this is suitable communication for prospective residents, I can't imagine the standards for communication with existing residents.

I just need to see it first to believe it, because this issue has got me thinking of moving locations and/or selling my car for a different one. ORIGINAL POST: Great amenities, nice location, kind people working in the on-site rental office. But there is a big issue--garage security is not sufficient for increasing auto theft activity in the area. Since moving here in 2023, my car has been vandalized 3 times, the latest being sometime during the night 6/30/26 when someone broke my window and rifled through my car. 5 other cars (mostly Hondas, Toyotas, Kias, Hyundais) also had tires stolen and/or were broken into. Less than 2 months ago, same deal. Multiple cars broken into and all 4 of my tires were stolen, even though I had wheel locks. There are cameras, but the thieves don't care and it won't stop them. Anne Arundel police are called, but apart from a week of increased police presence in the Towne Centre, things go back to normal. Unfortunately, the convenient location is what makes it so easy for criminals to drive right off the highway, hit all the local parking lots in minutes, and drive away into the sunset with your car parts. The amount of apartment parking in such proximity makes it like shooting fish in a barrel to these auto part thieves. ANYONE can get into the garage and pretty easily lift / break the gate to get into the basement. You can do everything right, like parking under lights, directly under the cameras, away from street level, have wheel locks, and it will not deter these criminals. Until Crosswinds heightens security or has an overnight on-site presence solely for their garage, you might want to think twice about moving here if you have a Toyota, Honda, Kia, or Hyundai. For the rent prices, you might not want the repeated hassle.
