Really shoddy workmanship. I wish I had taken better "before" photos of my garments to compare. I…read morebrought 6 items to her and each one was not done well. I would have never expected garments from a professional with an actual shop to have this poor quality. I actually had more things I wanted altered and my sister needed some things done as well but after my experience I will not return. I paid $10 for her to add holes to a cloth belt. I included a picture* but it might be hard to see that the holes she added don't match the style of the original. The original holes have lots of stitches (? idk technical terms) around them while hers do not match the style. I had three skirts taken in. She charged $21 for each. Each of them were fastened to the hanger with a huge safety pin on both sides that left a hole in the fabric. On two of the skirts there were mismatched seams*. I showed her the white skirt and she ironed it? Then when I told her I still wasn't happy with the way that it looked, I think she tried to say that I brought it in like that? I guess that's possible. Although I don't see the noticeably messed up seam in any pictures I have in the skirt, including the one I took the day I brought the skirt in. I paid $18 to have a pair of jeans hemmed. There were strings sticking out as you see here* and the hem was uneven upon close inspection. I paid $6 for her to sew a strap back onto a dress. I don't think pictures* do it justice. I expected her to make it to match the other dress strap. Instead it was just messily sewed so that you can see all the threads in the front. I easily could've done this myself. When I asked her about it she said that she didn't want to open the dress up. Maybe that's the easier way to do it, but it's not what I would expect from a professional seamstress. Again, I easily could've done this at home with no training. She said that it would've cost more than $2 had she done it the correct way. I reminded her that she actually had charged me 3x that but it didn't matter to her. I think that you need to charge whatever is fair to do the actual work. She sets her own prices. It literally looks so bad that I'm mad I paid for it. The straps on the dress were also super frayed. It's totally possible I brought the dress into her like this but I did not remember this dress being in such bad shape when I brought it in. Overall it's not terrible, it's just not what I would expect for professional quality. And with the language barrier there was no customer service to be had. I feel like the low quality work in some ways did diminish the value of my garments, some of which were brand new with the tags on. I think that if you don't care that much then this is a fine place to go to. But if you do want your garments to look as nice as they did when you bought them or you want things to look like they were done by a professional, then maybe this isn't the best place. *for some reason the photos won't upload in Yelp. Unfortunately, tere was no sign of perfection involved in the finished product! I tried on my dress the day before the wedding, and to my dismay, the front was longer than the back. The front of the dress was so long that it touched the floor and caused me to trip as I attempted to walk. Can you imagine walking down the isle and tripping in the middle of a wedding ceremony? What's was more frustrating is I was already in another state and was unable to return to the shop for additional alterations. I called the owner and informed her of my situation and said I expected a refund. She immediately became defensive and said she has been doing this job for many years and does excellent work. She asked if I had on the same shoes worn during her measurements. I told her I did have on the same shoes. She then told me several times that I could come back to the shop to have the dress altered. I kept informing her that I was already in another state and unable to return. I told her since there wasn't anything she could do at that time, I was only calling to make her aware of the situation and to inform her that I expected a refund upon my return. She was still very defensive and continued to tell me how she provides quality work and this inaccuracy in measurements is not possible. I continued to state my purpose for calling - I wanted a refund - and she eventually hung up on me. Since many stores were closed that evening, I had to spend the morning of the wedding frantically searching for safety pins. I ended up pinning the midsection of the dress to make it lift off the floor. Unfortunately, the pins were slightly visible during the ceremony. Very frustrating!

She then will eyeball what alterations are needed and pin them so you will see what the finished product will look like. This means you need to wear the shoes you will wear if you are messing with the length. It's a pretty exact measurement. This is a small shop, I've only ever seen one other person besides myself and the owner in there at a time. She only accepts cash and checks. Prices seem reasonable I believe it was maybe $25 or so to hem the bridesmaids dresses (each), maybe $30 or so to take in the bodice. Items tailored: 1. Bridesmaid dress- shortened. I appreciated the fair pricing ($125) for a major take-in and train trim, plus the convenience of paying half upfront and the rest at pickup. The only downside? They marked my dress with what looked like an ink pen, and even after steaming, I could still faintly see the marks. A bit frustrating, but overall, I'm happy with the fit and turnaround time!
