I asked them sew a similar fabric on the UNDERSIDE to reinforce it and keep it from ripping more. Didn't need to be perfect, I knew the tear itself could not be sewn together but patching and stitching the underside could mitigate the damage. I came to pick it up and BOTH SIDES were covered in a fabric patch that's not even a close match! I was told that there wasn't a way to reinforce it from the underside so they just did both. Even if that were true (it's not), why did no one call me FIRST and tell me the work I requested and paid for wasn't possible? This is a very basic ask of a professional tailor, it's unbelievable they got it so wrong! This patch is so much worse than the original tear. I desired some alterations to some business clothing and upon meeting Morella attempted to explain my request. Morella was barely attentive, bordering on dismissive, and engaged with the charisma of a used tire. The adjustments were completed at a price that seemed steep, but I'll admit that might be my subjective reflection based on her pretentious air and her inexplicable nonchalance. Truth be told, even her employees seemed a bit timid and Stepfordesque when she swept out from behind the curtain. Solidifying my conclusion that Morella is just out of touch, I experienced the same dismissiveness when I returned to pick up my items. Obviously, I won't be returning.

To hem two pants and the sleeves of a blazer was $115 plus tax (a bit steep there- and much higher than posted on their Facebook). The pants were $25 each and the blazer was $65. I was hopeful the quality of work warranted that price, but unfortunately that's not the case. The seamstress folded in the arms of my blazer and sewed it in like that, leaving button holes visible in the cuff, of which they kept the buttons that they removed. I had to request she sew shut the cuff button holes now mostly on the inside of my blazer at pick up and expressed it doesn't look good as I now have a thick and bulky cuff with visible stitching, and a visible button hole on the edge of the cuff. The stitches are all visible through the outside of the clothes, and the stitches themself are not neat. I'm extremely disappointed that my nice business clothes (all JCrew and in total cost over $400) now look like this and am contemplating how I'm supposed to show up to work with a visibly horribly altered suit. As a positive, they got the work done way faster than requested (almost 2 weeks) or communicated; although, I'd rather they'd have taken their time and done a better job.

She cut off the excess material, flipped up about 1/4 inch, and sewed it on a machine, just as you would sew a seam. The stitches are too tight, and the dress no longer falls gracefully to the floor. The bottom of the dress is already turning up, and the dress is truly a disaster. I'm searching for another seamstress to see if it can be repaired, but I seriously doubt it. The event I'm going to is in less than a week, and I'm afraid I won't be able to attend because I won't have a dress. I'm more than disappointed; I'm irate.
